Thank you. 4.5 years I owned my hybrid Camry with this feature, but never realised until I accidentally hit one of the buttons and changed the mode. Freaked me out. Then I watched your video. Should have read the manual.

I have the normal reversing camera on my new Aygo X I’m not sure what the grid is for? Surely you only need to know the distance of something you’re about to bump.

I have a 2024 Camry. Just recently I noticed these DRV icons showing at the bottom of the back up screen. I am sure this is just recently that they showed up. Can I get them off my screen ?

Hi Brian. Hoping you can help me. I have the 2020 camry le - same as shown - and when i back-up, it doesnt beep. i engaged and disengaged the sound button on the camera screen and nothing. another issue, when i'm low on gas, it doesnt give me an alert. both issues have to do with sound. any thoughts on how to fix? I really appreciate your help. thanks!

Hello there, when you reverse in an LE you won’t hear a beep because it does not have the parking sonar. When you are low on gas, you will only get an orange/yellow low fuel light and a low fuel alert in the MID screen. I highly recommend filling your car up at 1/4 tank and not going below 1/4 tank because going below 1/4 tank risks premature wear on your fuel pump, which requires fuel to stay cool and lubricated.

@@brianruperti Thanks so much for your response! when i'm reversing and the car senses a person, it does beep. i found it odd that it doesnt beep at all when backing up to another object directly behind it. there's a sound mute button on the screen but pressing it on/off doesnt change anything. I got a low fuel alert when i was at 15 miles to empty. i thought there would be an alert earlier than that. Thanks for letting me know.

You’re welcome. This is normal because you likely have a Camry LE with the convenience package which gives your blind spot monitor. Part of the blind spot monitor is called rear cross traffic alert which senses *movement* when you’re reversing like cars and people. But parking sonar is specifically for stationary object detection and the LE does not have that as an option.

You’re welcome. Since I also park many cars per day and have become a parking “expert” might I suggest using the mirrors to see the parking spot borders, then once you’re vehicle is straight and in line, the backup camera does all the work. 90% of the cars I use do not have DRVC and we all park them quickly, cleanly, and effectively :-)

Men really don’t get the problem with camera . I back up and get blue and yellow lines on the screen. How to follow those and which ones? Instead all I get in these tutorials is measurement

I had to replace the battery on my 2019 Avalon & the morning it was hard to start & the instrument panel flashed, my course lines on the backup camera display disappeared, with only the 1 red line remaining. With the new battery, the lines haven't reappeared & tapping those options at the bottom left does nothing. Any ideas? Thank you.

How come on my 2023 Taco, I don't see the yellow lines any more. I used to see it ajd can change it like on this video, but after my battery got drained and a few failed jimpstarts, I changed to a new battery. But now I don't see the yellow lines.. please help

That just means your car doesn’t have the dynamic camera. You’ll then want to use the lines your camera comes with (or the bumper if you have no lines)

@@brianruperti Actually thats not true b/c i had the 3 views and the lines when i bought the car. Its been rear-ended twice and since then i only have one view and with no lines. so it DID have it at one point. Thanks for getting back to me! any other suggestions?

You would expect that the 2018 XLE and all Toyota cars and trucks would have the Dynamic Grid Line system. We bought a 2018, however the salesman was not really up on the features, and Toyota true to form has a buyer beware mentality. It's not the last Toyota we will buy, but I will not be stuck with an inexperienced salesperson again.

For vehicles with 360 camera it would already be showing. There are 4 cameras (front, back, both side mirrors) used to make the view.

I am not sure if there is a specific issue you are referring to, but, there is a way to change your screen brightness. Go to menu, setup, display, and adjust brightness on their. Your user manual will break it down even more depending on your vehicle year, model, and trim!
