You can probably get your ES faster. The Camry waiting time is 1 year, so hang on to your booking. Anyway the interior fittings and dimensions of the ES are very different. Stick to your booking and hope the price does not go up when the car arrives. Buy what you like, not what people tell you.

Lexus ES is based on Toyota Avalon, the Camry’s bigger brother

It’s not a Toyota issue. It’s UMW assembly plant locally that does a mess of a job. If this car was assembled in Thailand or Japan, the built quality would be too notch

@@yslee1401 eh as far as I know the camry is manufactured in Thailand fully imported. Only the Yaris and Vios are locally assembled no?

Shows how reliable it is. It would be very bare specs though. You should see what they use for taxis in Germany too.

North America is moving away from sedans even for ride hailing services. RAV4 Hybrid is the vehicle of choice for this purpose

Price increases were already expected. I already warned many people to buy earlier. Even chicken rice and nasi lemak has gone up.

At this moment, I would take the first one available. The Mazda waiting time is a lot shorter, about 4 to 5 months. Camry is about 12 months.

The German marques will go up even more.

There is always a market for affluent buyers who prefer Japanese non-turbo cars. Wanting the comfort of a big sedan and staying low profile at the same time..

For me I still prefer Camry comfort, spacious, reliability, higher reseller value compare to German car

Teutonic brands are endless money pits. Spontaneous unpleasant surprises, Christmas Lights dashboards and roadside assist calls are more of the normal experience of owning German branded vehicle

Actually there are some differences in spec, but engine and drive train are similar.

Prices of cars in OZ are generally a bit cheaper. We have an import duty, and sales tax and excise duties, deoending on models. Try Singapore - you pay AUD 100k just for an entitlement to own a car for 10 years.

Perhaps you should do the review. Ideally I would like a 2.5 liter turbo with a 7- speed dct, and awd, but I know it does not come with those specs so should I then say the power is not enough? I judge the car based on what it has, and the words I use are my opinion. You are entitled to your opinion, but please do not come to MY channel and flame me. If you find this channel not to your liking, go watch some other channel.

@@YSKhongDriving A review has to be balance. What it lacks or what it should improve on. How else people can decide. I was looking to get a camry but just could not really see the good. I saw another person asked on Mazda 6 comparison but you just said take the one that has lowest waiting time. That does not even answer the person question which might be better based on your opinion. You are right, after watching your review, i had to go to other channel videos to look for more reviews. I do sound flaming i agree on the paid to promote thing i wouldnt have said. Sorry for that. But you should also be able to take some criticism.
