Mitch I'm glad the Celica is back in action. Hoping for lots more Celica content. Possibly collabs with other celica youtubers like the most arial, Cali celi meets ...etc
I honestly think the celica will always be apart of you even after you sell one they will always be in your heart. I think once you get one you will never leave it out of your life. Eventually you will have to get another one. They are like a habit that you can't get rid off. I have had 4 so far and the Corolla XRS.
I've had one, a heavily modified 2001 6spd GT-S I built myself and you're right, I've had so many other cars, trucks, bikes. Nothing else compares to the emotional attachment and drive experience with the ZZT231. Only people who have owned them understand
Hi Mitch. Can't wait for the turbo build. Quick question, you said the brakes are really tight now, so I'm wondering if the pedal is immediate in feel or is the feel still a bit spongy. I ask because from my research I found out that the brake booster is the culprit when it comes to the pedal feel in these cars although they brake fine just with a longer travel in the pedal. Thanks
Great vid as usual! What are some good or easy mods you would recommend? I have got BCracing coilovers installed and I don't know what would be best to do next.
Hey Mitch, love your work. Respectfully request if you know where I can find a TRD spoiler and/or the Tsunami body pieces? I own a 2002 GT-S Auto (yeah I know, boring) and it came with the stock spoiler. Looking to eventually get my Celica a paint job in Emerald Green Gloss down the road, but won't until I get the body pieces and spoiler. Appreciate your time man! Keep it up!
That’s a very high compression engine. You’ll need to lower the compression by building the bottom end before boosting the car. Make sure you sleeve the cylinders too.
Hey Mitch, I drive a super high miles blue '01 GTS I got 18 months ago. Her paint is really starting to look ratty especially the front bumper, the hood and the spoiler. How expensive were these things you had painted? You mentioned the front bumper and roof. Also my wheels need to be painted and I saw your video on how to DIY black gloss paint wheels, gonna try that in a few months when the weather warms up. I enjoy watching your videos, man. It's really nice seeing a really nice example of a Celica and an owner who really loves doing the work.
I’ve been following this car for well before I finally got my tsunami, big inspiration ! Sleek subtle mods are what I’m all about ! Also Id be interested in that intake, how much were you thinking?
Might end up being the cleanest Celica on RU-vid! in my opinion, don't put a turbo badge, it'll looks good with the OEM GTS badge or delete it to make it look even cleaner. Also, don't tint the tail lights. Those are cheap looking mods. Again, all my opinion. Nice Celica.
why didn't you show the turbo? doesn't sound turbo'd wanted too know the set up you had for it because I also have a gts im going too do a streetdemon set up turbo/intercooler and wanted advice.
Looks amazingly unique Celica! Just one comment to make better video, please and please stopping saying ahhhh ahhhhh to start your sentences! Just a thought! Keep it ☝
Also I personally wouldn't tint the rear lights. My celica is the same colour as yours and the lights merge with the body quite nicely. In my opinion the tint would make the car look cheap. Keep up the celica vids.
Hey there Mitch or anyone interested I have a 2000 celica GT-S for sale it is a 6Speed however im selling it cause the tranny started shaking hard at idle And its feels hard to get into gear but it still drives and runs. Engine is strong no Check engine lights or warning lights. Located in LA, California
