This one is a very, very, very good car! The only thing which is a bit about new Corolla annoying is noise from wheels. It's same level of noise at speed around 90 km/h as well as at 130 km/h. But it's the only thing. If you are calm driver, new Corolla is simply your love!

@@cristiansmochina9056 no such thing in hybrid synergy drive vehicles. eCVT is constantly engaged. You don't get actual "gears" unless it's a gs450h/ls600h/ls(lc)500h/equivalents. The 2100rpm hold up is at 0kph - obviously 2 pedals pressed. The launch gear is present in the non-hybrid corolla - the CVT there has pretty much nothing in common with eCVTs.

i bought this car 1 year ago.. i absolutely love it.. if you want to drive relaxed, you chose eco mode and simply enjoy the road: no sounds , no gearbox bouncing, you could fall asleep... but when you need speed , you press accelerator and she releases 200 horsepower .. good job toyota

I don't know if You hear but there is quite a lot of noise comming from tyres and the road. I've tested both corilla and rav4 and first thing after buy is to make additional work with noise redution because it can get loud inside.

@@elgoogssie3969 well I tested it shortly and did not notice. I think it might not be worse than any other car in this price range, but road noise is more noticeable because the engine is so quiet most is the time.

@@elgoogssie3969 It's a wet day, every car has more tyre noise on wet days. When I drove an older version of this car (2018) in Scotland, also raining / wet, I did not notice the tyre noise. AS a hybrid this car is overall very quiet.

I'm just after test drive, was first client today so car was cold (2degrees) mixed route 18km, partly highway, 3 times acceleration 80- 150 and average consumption was 6,6! Great score, nobody tried ecenomical driving style

Podvozkově jsem si ju zamiloval. A konečně hybrid od Toyoty se, kterým se dá i normálně předjíždět.

No a prave toto ma zaujima! Planujem kupit novu Corollu, a mam z recenzii obavu u 1.8 motora, ze predbiehanie bude katastrofa...je to vazne tak slabe? Lebo kazdy na to "nadava", ale sak auto ma 122k, ja mam teraz Fluence 1.6, ktory ma 110k a predbiehanie...no povedzme zecsa da ked nieje pustena klima :-) Tak ako to vlastne je? Obavam sa ze na skusobnej jazde nebudem mat podmienky, aby som to preveril (jazda dialnicou napr). Vdaka za akekovek info!

225/45R17 factory setup looks nice but was a bit noisy. I ordered mine to come with more comfy 205/55R16 tires. They should be quieter but I can't test that yet as my car so far only exists on the factory's to-do-list for the 2020.

It's weird that we have this newer, more powerful, more efficient hybrid powertrain in the USA in the Lexus UX 250h, but not in the Corolla or Prius.

Best car for commuting. Only reason not to buy is the price. 35.000 € and up for a nice trim. Don't sit that much in the car to justify. Yaris is too slow and I hate the shift lever. Maybe the new one will be nicer.

what is your lowest average fuel consumption? or is 7l the average always?

honestly i'm not a fan of their "rev counter" evolution. i find the one in the '14 Auris perfect, fast enough, and the segments are divided properly. regarding the extra performance - these hybrids aren't racers, for ex a Camry hybrid is only a bit faster over 100 km/h than my Corsa C 1.7 cdti (101 hp, 240 Nm, 1.100 kg) with almost 300.000 km's on the clock. Sure, from 0-100 it does accelerate fast, but it tends to end at higher speeds. What you can expect however is a lower than announced fuel economy. Own a MY15 Auris hybrid (pre-facelift) and half of the mileage on it is made below Toyota's claimed 3.8 l/100 km, with an absolute low of 3.58 - mindblowing.

Super video. Presne túto som bol otestovať, bohužiaľ len mimo diaľnicu, v Modřanoch to nebolo možné inak. Odrádza ma pár vecí. 43l nádrž, čo mi príde fakt málo, v Avensise mám 60. Auto by som chcel hlavne na diaľnice smer SVK a Alpy hlavne. Vo vývave TREK so zvýšeným podvozkom (155mm), ktorú by som chcel - neni možné meniť poťahy, sú tam nejaké hnedo šedé, úplne hnusné a nepraktické. Toto vobec nechápem, že to neni možné meniť. A posledná vec - pán z Toyoty(Tsusho Modřany) mi hovoril, že na Corollu i Rav4 sa čaká cca 7-8 mesiacov. A zaujímalo by ma či ste nechytal s týmto normálnym podvozkom spodok o retardéry a podobne. Príde mi, že je určite nižší než aktuálne Avensis. Ďakujem.

Michal Šteller dobrý den, moc díky! Nádrž je malá, to je pravda, pokud člověk jezdí dálky, bude to na obtíž. Potahy - no comment, chybka se stala. Jinak je ale Corolla s dvoulitrem fakt super. What model is it you are driving and have you done anything to help with the noiseproblem form the wheels? Got to test a used Auris and Corolla at a dealer last week and loved the Corolla, despite the engine noise when accelerating. Bought one and waiting for it, since the used one was in a wrong color.

I had a loan of a 2.0 chr excel model .on a run combining city and dual carriageway over 50 miles .I was driving normal hitting the speed limits .the electric power works at all speeds .the engine cuts in to replenish the battery and if you lift off or brake it charges the battery aswel.it averaged 60.3mpg.it’s very impressive especially for a 2.0ltr petrol.embarrasses a lot of cars off the line aswel.Ive no doubt the Corolla will better that as it’s lighter.that’s why I bought the 2.0 gs sport.. happy days ..get one!

Does it improve acceleration to press and hold the brake and rev up to 2500 rpm? Some do it, others dont, but the cars seems very similar in power.

If only this cars interior wasn't so damned loud. It's quick enough and very frugal, but the interior is a let down imo. Mazda 3 is a lot superior in that regard.

Mazda has the best interior of all non-premium, popular compacts. The end. I've got the Corolla TS, kitted out, top trim version and it's fine. The noise is an issue, but easy to fix as it mainly comes from wheel arches.

@@jensfos Not yet. But I'll take it to a soundproofing/car audio specialist and stuff every nook and cranny with sound insulation including wheel arches and bring noise down to Lexus LS levels :P Totally doable. Otherwise, the car is so very nice, the best Toyota in years.

Only plus point of the Corolla seems to be the Hybrid aspect. Honda Civic beats it in all other areas. That said, I wouldn't buy either. All new cars are too expensive and lose value too quickly.

You can no pick up the older versions of these Corolla break hybrids now. I like the older versions as the screen is integrated into the dashboard not sticking like this one. Less power though. The power in this new version is cool for longer trips.
