@@M4rk58 they know the bmw supra was a bit of a mistake and they should've made an improved 2JZ instead that could be used in their trucks and Lexus vehicles as well. A 3L electronic assisted turbo engine would help with emissions in their big trucks too
Any suggestions on the best way to afford one in college? My civic is falling apart and I've always wanted an 86 more than anything, so I want to replace it ASAP
@@RaiuAdami honestly I probably wouldn’t recommend a 2nd gen 86, I got mine for msrp at 32k but I’m still paying 742 (for both car payments and insurance) and unless you’re able to comfortably pay that much on top of other stuff you pay for, then I’d say look for a first gen FRS/86/BRZ. The lower the mileage the better as it goes with any other car really. I’m not in college so that’s really the only reason I got one at 18
@@r3k2mutter79 bruh it wasn't made in a factory. There was a brilliant marketing man behind this commercial, and we a celebrating this anonymous employee.
@@gameseeker6307and the 1% that does will get stuck because guess what, it's not as easy as in the commercial nor is the car off-road capable in the end xD
It's funny how the only one that's EVER shown out speeding Takumi on a race (because the only time he lost against someone else was...engine induced) is Bunta, even in this commercial
Don't wanna be that guy, but remember that vs God Hand race (S2000)? He can outpace Takumi if he wanted but he dragged it too long (and vomitted), alas dagoomee foojiwarae plot armor moment despite Takumi's already at the limit and internally admitted he lost
@@PlatinumNath Funnily enough, I can say I don't because I never finished watching Fourth Stage and onwards lol Also while you can make a point about the plot armor being active at virtually all times, as a unga fighting game player that I am (SOL BADGUY), I would make a case for that someone else winning because the other player made enough mistakes (goofing/showing off or wanting to do a stylish finish) is fair game, both from the other player taking the opportunity and not dropping the ball (which I assume is what Takumi did in holding on an otherwise impossible to win race, from how you frame it) and this God Hand guy dragging it too long. Because...y'know, you gotta love the IRL-proof "trash talk/taunt into lose" combo lmao (and Kyoichi *didn't* give a flip tabout Takumi's disadvantage and car failure to take that W anyways) also yes I wrote this much for a reply, thanks for coming by and replying :)
@@ArcadeStriker Takumi also lost to an Evo 3 guy driver, so he lost like, what? 2/3 times maybe? & he had hard times with dozens of guys, lot of them could've beaten him easily if they wanted to But the plot was obviously in Takumi favor
@@uhm175 Takumi lost to an evo cuz his engine blew. lost to a wrx because it was dad out endured a driver in an endurance race. i only count 1 actual loss
@@TheFirstRamenKamen The engine is the only consider a lose well like 1/2 since Takumi could get a faster one and win easily just that the old AE86 hood in corner or he was use to it
The fact that they went so far into the lore is crazy. In the anime we know that the only person who beat takumi is his father Bunta, and we can se this in the comercial. Also they recreated takumis footwork on the pedals one to one. Best manufacturer.🤩
And you know what he will say to Takumi about him driving the GR86: "Oh no, you will not drive my new GR86, even if you go down on your knees and grovel. Save money to buy one if you want!"
@@Panzerkampff This song doesn't exist. I've been trying to find at least some information for 3 months, but all sources lead to the fact that the song will be on the new A-One album. We just need to wait for the release of this masterpiece
Ik initial d was written in the 90s, but after the stages I truly believe it took place in the early-mid 2010s due to the appearance of the gt86 at the end of 5th stage. Mf ghost 202X makes me think it's in the mid late 2020s. This commercial is badass and it was a pleasure to drive a gr86 myself, such a fun car
The animation style is of the Legend Trilogy and in the ending Ryosuke was offering Takumi to join Project D before the engine blew so it's still the og 4AGE 86
it was set a long time before the final stage, or its a mistake from the animators. the ae86 doesnt have the carbon hood after the first engline blow. it sounds like it has the second engine though which confuses me. my best guess is that bunta bought a gr86 instead of an impreza in this timeline :D
I love every detail of this, 1 the new car doesnt beat trueno bec its a "better" car respecting the culture and legend what trueno made. The car beats the trueno bec takumis dad was driving it. Keeping the legend of the ae86 and highlighting what can the new car do. Best ads i ever watched in my entire life.
As a person that really needs a Toyota. This Commercial, I tell ya, was one of the BEST GR86 Commercials ever made since it's appearance on a Initial D Commercial [ Not the Actual Anime Series that has the GR86, But the Commercial does! ] so I'll say, Good Job to the People that Made this Commercial, That includes you, Toyota. - Damian Galewski | 🇵🇱 [ Poland ]
Two things I love about this commercial. The first thing is that I new the driver of the GR86 was gonna be his dad of all people, and secondly the fact that no matter how much takumi trains and improves, his dad will always kick his ass
*Toyota:* Gets a animated studios that did legendary anime to make a commercial for them *Ford:* Did a shitty edit and revoice on whatever popular anime to advertise their cars
Oh wow. I think I found a little Easter egg. On the license plate of the GR86, when Takumi runs up to it, there are the numbers 2286. 2022 was the first year for the GR86, very nice touch.
i noticed another thing that as the ae86 has young takumi, he ages over the 86 period and we see his oldest version in the gr 86. like this is the best
Right when the GR86 did the gutter-run and overtook Takumi, I was like, "That's gotta be Bunta," xD Yep, called it! He's the only other person who knows about the Akina gutter-run and is the only one who could beat Takumi on said course! This commercial is 10/10
Latest confirmation is this song will appear on latest version of Initial D the arcade as a In-Race BGM. Also A-ONE themself said on twitter before that this song(Twin blade A-ONE)will appear to public in a different way,as it turns out will be released via arcade platform and will eventually have a OST for it and this is the first time since official bilibili commercial that we all can hear this song but more complete version of it.(Yes Toyota official only posted this video on bilibili before but not here)
