I bought my extra key fob remote off amazon and it came with no instructions but with a card saying go to a website to register and get instructions, but then they wanted a cc number (suspicious?) and when I read the fine print it said I would have a five day trial, then they'd start charging me $39.95 a MONTH. Uhmm, no. I found your video and programmed it in about ten minutes (because I tried and did it twice.) So thanks again!

not really, you just need to repeat the process exactly as its done a few times, if it didn't work then you'll have to send it to a shop to program it for you.

It depends if the replacement key has those buttons then they will be programmed through the same process

If the aftermarket key is programmed as a master key this should work. Although it is very unlikely that this is the case, you can tell wether you have a master key or not by putting the key into the ignition (without turning it) and watching the security light. If the light goes off instantly, you have a master key. If it stays on for about 2 secends and then turns off, you dont have a master key and you wont be able to progamm a remote with that key. Hope that helps :)

​@@student8015 There are different ways to get into programming mode, altough they are all pretty similar. Look around online and try different ways and give each of them a couple tries. On some cars its even possible to progamm the fob with the valet key instead of the master key, so you might as well give that a try. If you Fob isnt regognized after the car is in programming mode, then your Fob might habe the wrong FCC-ID. If you are from Europe or anywhere else but the US, you will probably have a hard time finding correct ID since the ones online are mostly for US cars. Unfortunately I had the same problem and to this day have not found the correct ID for my 2001 MR2 from Europe. Hope that helps. Good Luck ;)

Unfortunately no. You have to program the key as master using a professional car programmer

hi, i did this 3 times until i got it right, so you'll have to make sure you do exactly like the steps in the video and repeat it a few times until it works. if it didn't then you'll have to visit a shop to program it for you

Same here. Car is 2003 toyota avensis t25 . It doesnt work on this car. Cant get it to go program mode, (lock unlock sequence) . If someone knows other way , please tell.

Not sure why ... maybe it needs a 2nd try or the key you're using is not programmed in the car as master key

Search for key replacement remote for your specific car to have all the functionality

Amazon probably will find many there selling universal remotes that would work on your car.

The key you have might not be the master key ... so you'll need a professional car programmer to make one master and another slave key

There are 3 possibilities in precedence 1. The key is not a master key 2. You didn't do the process correctly 3. The car is too old and not supported

@@ericdimartino8838 Never got it to pair, unfortunately. I gave up and returned the key fob. On another page, someone suggested that my car might already have the maximum number of fobs programmed in, and there's a way to unpair them all and start over, but I wasn't about to mess with that (don't wanna screw up the one I already had that works). Hi, It should work on your car you just need to try it a few times. For me it worked on the third attempt

Maybe the relay that detects opening and closing the door is not working properly. You can tell if you have to open and close the door many times for the internal cabin light to go off

@@SmartCarsJordan I tried to enter it in programming mode and the locks never cycled.. That makes me believe that it doesnt work for my car right? Am i gonna have to waste $650 to get it installed huh cuz i called a shop nearby and they said it is $50 per door and extra for the alarm/installation

It took me 3 tries to get it to work. It should work fine on your car. But if you make sure you have a master key programmed into the car then you can program the rest of the keys. It seems your keys might not be masters

Ask the seller if they have any extra keys. If they dont then go to any shop with a bidirectional code programmer and let them register the current key as master key, then program extras by yourself.

@@donkey5ever435 it was an impossibility trying to do this. I just found how to disconnect the alarm, just in case I lost the key fob. The alarm box in under the steering wheel.

Hi, this way is for programming keyfobs it should not affect keys. So if you still have the master key which should not be affected by this method. Just repeat the process in the video again and program the key fobs.
