After replacing the high-voltage battery in his Toyota Prius 30 Hybrid, on the recommendation of the Hybrid Repairman, the Prius High-Barrel Battery Cooling Controller was installed. As it turned out, it is very simple to install and you can easily install it yourself in a minute. But there are many advantages from it. For example, at speeds up to 60 km / h, the Toyota Prius 30 practically does not turn on the cooling of the high-voltage battery, but in the city, when driving through traffic jams in a hybrid car, the battery is constantly discharged and charged, as a result of which it overheats and loses its capacity. So that the high-voltage battery would lose its capacity less, the controller of that very cooling of the battery was installed. In addition to the fact that it begins to cool the battery earlier, this controller shows such indicators that are not displayed on the main display of the Toyota Prius and, in principle, are not available to the Prius driver. For example, it shows the speed of the internal combustion engine, shows the temperature of the same internal combustion engine, shows the temperature of the High-voltage battery (VVB), shows the air temperature at the outlet after blowing the VVB, shows the speed of the fan that blows the VVB.
But the most important thing, as I described above, the controller turns on the fan earlier than the Toyota Prius on-board computer would do. Yes, this can cause some inconvenience during the ride, namely the slight noise of the fan behind the rear seat, but believe me, if you turn on the music at least at low volume, you will not pay attention to this fan even when it works at maximum speed.
