Is there anything I should be careful with when reinstalling? Like installing something backwards? How will I know if its going in the right way? Will the TSRM have that info im looking for? Just want to double check before i actually start the reassembly process.

On disassembly a trick I use is to use a center punch and punch the back sides of certain parts like the shift hubs so I know which direction they press on. All the little shift detent balls and jelly beans get trick to reinstall if you did not keep track of what goes where. TSRM honestly wont tell you much on assembly, its up to you to keep things organized during tear down unfortunatly.

How much horsepower do these hold with the goodies

You'd have to search around, but IIRC these are known to survive 800whp. I think the breaking point for the MKIV W58 is 400whp

@@CMAutohaus thats what i was thinking ive seen these hold around 700-800hp i just dont like how the box feels feels like a straw in a cup lol an never felt the marlin goodies . Id never consider a w series trans unless i was pushing under 400 lol

@@Dallasvb CD009 for many reasons seems to be the new go-to. I actually have a CD009 behind my RB25 in my R33

@@CMAutohaus thats why i think im looking for 5 speeds the gearing is better for my tt diff , i think with the cd009 i may have to run like a 3.98-4.ishsomething diff an not sure what id use

@@CMAutohaus what's your experience with the r154s blowing gear oil out of the top on high hp applications (600-700+hp)? Seems to be a common problem when power levels get up there, some add vents to the top side of trans case to relieve pressure build up. Curious if you've had to deal with this issue?

@@mxxmikexx1 I havent had my customer complain about this issue, but yes I am familiar with adding additional vents to the top of R and W series gear boxes.
