The Toyota RAV4 comes with some highly advanced safety systems. In this short video we tell you how to use them to give the most enjoyable and relaxing driving experience. In this video we cover the Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Adaptive High Beam System, Road Sign Assist and Full Range Adaptive Cruise Control.
Toyota Safety Sense cannot take the place of the driver. The Pre-Collision System may not operate properly due to a variety of road, vehicle, and weather conditions. The driver is solely responsible for safe driving.

Is it normal to hear like a screech sound when taking it out of park into drive? I took it to the dealer and they said it was normal because of the electronic breaking system, but I can't find any information about this.

Hello Laurie. Thanks for your message. It would be impossible for us to comment on the noise so the experts at your local Toyota Centre are best placed to advise. You may want to consider a second opinion at an alternative Toyota Centre for your peace of mind.

My LTA is on but stopped working or giving any alerts. I have the sensitivity on high. I just got it back from the dealership after needing the thermostat replaced with only 8k miles on it. Getting frustrated. Any advice?

Mine will be 3-years old in February and I have only 14k-miles. I haven’t had any problems just oil changes every 5k or annually. There is a recall on the passenger airbag sensor that I need to get taken care of when they get parts. 8k-miles is nothing, with routine maintenance it should last you 300k-miles. FJB 🖕🇨🇳

The breaking is awful if the car is not in advance safety system...the steering is iffy too.

@@TezNguyen Actually, I took it in because I didn't trust driving it to on long road trip. The dealership mechanic said I needed a front wheel alignment. My car was only three months old; they told me sometimes this can happen when they're unloading the cars of the truck. This dealer ship didn't even set up my maps system and they become upset when I asked them to do so. Smh Also, whenever I wanna go in reverse with my car, it sticks, not until I push the parking break will it release. It just started doing this. I've been trying to figure out why? The 2021 drives nothing like my 2015. It's only more quiet. I think I'm done with Toyota's Rav4.

@@pundiparadox9840 dude the maping system uses your phone, you must be living under a rock, the steering is just fine, that's just the lane departure systems putting you back in line since it's electric and not hydraulic so it can move the steering, the brakes are just fine tho the caliper are a bit medium small but still got great braking power. You car sticking when reversing must be due to the fact that you may have disabled the automatic parking/emergency brake button, it will normally disengage when you get out of park. Plus getting alignment when they say is out of spec due to car delivery isn't too far fetch, it can happen and you're getting the alignment done for free since they all car 2019+ come standard with an 2 year no cost maintenance plan known as toyota care. Coming from a 2019 rav4 owner

@@jackieliu5004 I tried using my phone, after being unsuccessful many times I asked about it. The mechanic at the dealership checked it out and informed that the system was never installed for me to do so. His words not mine. I had to set up an appointment for them to fix it. Guess what, I have maps now. So, what's really going on? My car would slide during turns and when breaking. It was almost like driving a truck and trying to get it to stop going down hill with bad breaks. I had three people test drive it & they agreed something was off. Anyway, after the alignment, the steering is better and so is the breaking. Still not the best, but aye. And I'm not complaining about the alignment, I'm happy they got it resolved and the car drives better. The lane depature system I felt once and it felt nothing like what I was experiencing with the breaks. I will check to see if i disabled the parking break. I might have? I currently drive a 2021 XLE but previously owned a Rav4 2015. The 2015 drive much better.

Doesn't explain how to set PCS, the sensitivity......narrarator goes way too fast to be complicit. Not good. More instructions at a slower pace for us newbies.

@@jackieliu5004 It sucks because it’s fights you for control of the steering and wants to take every exit. Try it, you’ll hate it. Not as bad as a Tesla but I’m sure it would kill you the first chance it gets. ☠️☠️☠️💩💩💩💩

@@jackieliu5004 Gotta agree with his comment, I've bought my Rav4 like a week ago and the way LTA works is so annoying, it simply takes the car as close as it can get to the left side then ( Find it risky ) so it pushest is back so damn hard to the right.

@@jackieliu5004, it usually doesn't put you in center but more to one side. My experience - was in 2nd lane, and someone was in the 1st lane and they are closer to the left side, my safety system puts me more to the right side - this might cause a collision as both cars are now at the very edge of crossing lines. My system does this and the other driver is just dumb. Doesn't look very safe for me. Using only when no cars are around and if I'm tired or bored. And this is not one time thing, it always does that. Sometimes on a road a long arc appears more to the left and my car looks like it will go straight to the barriers.
