Matt Berry the breather hoses are designed to draw the air out of the engine using intake vaccum. The air inside the enging has a mixture of fuel and oil vapours in it and putting little filters on top of the engine like that those vapours are no longer removed, which means all the shit u want gone from ur engine ends up in the oil and breaks it down quickly, damaging your engine if you dont do very frequent oil changes
You can just fit feeds from each branch of the manifold collecting into a vaccum chamber, and use this for map sensors and brake booster. If he has its probably under the manifold out of sight, and for bolt access
Is there an advantage to have such long runners after the throttle bodies? Sounds like it pulls harder in the mid range then other 4e’s with quads. but I would have thought closer to the head with long trumpets would have been more advantageous and easier to make? Cheers mate
@@finz1374 never had a reply from them. From what i understand its not ideal. I went the tubular Corolla intake as I've not had time to make my itbs. That said I'll be mounting the bodies much closer to the head and play around with different length velocity stacks to find a suitable balance between peak power and torque.
@@matiaskofod1130 Ja det gør jeg, fordi jeg har en turbo motor i den nu. Men den indsugning jeg brugte var den standarde manifold der var skåret op. Nu er der blevet lavet en ny manifold
hlq2action you need to understand that ITBs aren't meant for power but throttle response. But a built engine: high compression, ported, cams, high flow exhaust etc. will get you decent gains.

@Oliver Shaw you are totally right!! Saw cuple of them on tercels that came from Canada with the same engin you mentiond.. But mine is 1.3 carburetor.. decent power to be honest for such an old engine.. maybe cuse it is a manual transmission ?? Not so sure.. As a V8 guy dropping to 4 cylinder think 4EFTE turbo will do the trick.. Will the starlet engin fit perfectly on the tercel?? That is the question 🤔
@@danishkarting2445 nice I love the induction sounds have got a d16v1 with cbr 1000cc itb's on my stock plastic inlet I can't screw off the tps it's fixed on 🙁 can it run on original cbr 1000cc tps or will not start or idle
