It's exactly what I need to do on my Scion iQ engine. One of the oil control valve is sipping a bit. it's a just O-ring on valve needs to replaced. Thank you for tutorial.
Hi my son has the same car , it uses a lot of oil as well and on cold start up it rattles for a while could cleaning these possibly help cure the problem? Cheers for any help on this matter. Ps even though it burns a lot of oil would you still recommend changing the oil every year ? He does approximately 2000 miles Ps great video’s really appreciate them 👍
thanks for watching..the vvti solenoid in the video is not really dirty, the video is only a demonstration on how to clean it. yes it is interchangeable..
thanks for watching..camshaft sensor has only one bolt above the cylinder head...pls check this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_Tklb_h2oWI.html
Thanks for watching..the video is only a demonstration on how to clean it..but this engine is very clean beacause ill do the service every 6 month..this engine 1NR-FE is known to have a very high oil consumption..i think toyota will not give you a schedule maintenance for the vvti valve, they will just let you change it if something goes wrong on the vvti system.
@@s777 yes, but the car in the video has no oil consumption since I bought it 6 years ago..I change the oil every 6,000 miles and only use 0W-20 castrol edge...
