My grandfather had one on his farm. My brother and father keep it running even though the farm's not still in use. It went through a flood and decades of use. I'm happy to see yours.

Why is that so satisfying to watch? Thank you, Jim. I really enjoyed that 12 minutes of calm. We had a Scout International when I was young. I think it was from the late 60's or early 70's. I know it was old when my dad set me on his lap & let me steer the truck. I was 5.
I know you had to do the work but it was a pleasant twelve minutes for me at 7.00 a.m. and you look proficient at clearing snow. As I mentioned the last time it also reminds me of my Father as he drove an international Drott in all weathers. I don’t know Jim, but it looks like you’ve done than a couple of times before, I’m kind of glad I only have to mow the grass every couple of weeks and in living memory I’ve never seen snow in Sydney Australia.
My grandfather used one very similar, but older. I grew up riding on it. He never taught me to drive it - probably because I ran his John Deer into the wall too many times. But on another note. Grandpa had the tractor long after I grew- up and continued to plow his snow and many other things with his big red tractor until he was well into his 90's. Thank you Jim for the great memory of my grandfather.
Enjoyed that. Reminds of when I used to lived in Owen Sound. Coming from Africa, I had never seen so much snow it my life, we had a snow tunnel from our front door to the street. Spring was fun, when it all started to melt… we got drenched 😂 Keep warm and safe ❤
I am Jon, based in the UK (England) and have followed your demonstration videos regularly for inspiration to setting up my own workshop for wood and resin turning (and much more besides ...). I am making good progress, the problem is to find the equivalent UK/EU suppliers for the kit needed. A tractor is not yet on my shopping list. The broadcasters here have been telling us about the "Bomb Cyclone" that hit Canada and the US before and during the Christmas holidays. I hope all is well with you and those near to you. It is reassuring to see that you are active in your yard, clearing snow while you can. As always, the weather phenomena on the US-side of the Atlantic will eventually move across to hit Irland and the UK first, then the rest of Northern Europe ... We are anxiously waiting for what the "Bomb Cyclone" remnants will bring us in a week's time. I wish you a Happy New Year, while waiting for more inspirations along the line of "problems and their solutions" in your up-coming videos throughout 2023 and beyond.
@@SpragueWoodturning oh yes it is a mess when that happen. I've dealt with that as well. Those hydraulic ends are a bit of a pain to have repaired as well.
Internationals are great. My dad had an old International truck for years and years and years. I'm in California so it's fun to see snow. Hope you had a great Christmas.
It doesn't snow here but I don't blame ya for having the equipment to deal with it. I'm not young anymore and use our tractors to make life easier. I don't live on the farm where the larger tractor stays so I bought one last summer just to have here at home. Those frontend loaders are back savers.

The snow is really pretty, but it also looks like a lot of work!! 😁 Luckily I don't have snow where I am, but it's a 45-minute drive away (or less) if I wanted to visit it..😉
"UNLEASH THE BEAST". Very nice Jim. It does take some time before you get good at it. Also, you get to finally figure out your driveway layout as to where to put it all. That outfit makes mine look like a Dinky Toy. The snow was very wet and heavy. I was out early the other morning and came in soaking wet from the stuff still coming down. Hope your Christmas was wonderful for you and the family.
I own a 1953 International Harvester panel truck that did service for the US Air Force. I hope to get it properly restored. It's as old as I am. For relatively new, you did okay.
Yuk Jim, I guess I shouldn't rub it in that it was 14° degree here in NS on the day you were getting all the snow. My Dad is near Kingston, On though, and he said it was the worst storm in about 15 years! Thanks for sharing!
Here in Iowa most people would’ve just pushed all that snow across the road into the ditch on the other side. It’s nice to see somebody. Take pride in doing a really good job. I think you’re doing fine.

I do not miss doing that one bit. After growing up to Michigan and served 2 years in Alaska, and 4 years at McMurdo Station Antarctic. I moved enough snow for 2 life time.
I grew up in NY (just north of NYC, but I went to school in Potsdam, near the Canadian border) but now live in Texas. I never thought I’d say it, but I miss the beauty of new fallen snow. But not shoveling it, or the dirty slush of a warmer day.

We had a good foot of snow over the weekend in Kalamazoo, MI but it was nice and dry. The John Deere tractor and snow thrower easily handled it. Hope the new year brings you peace, joy, good health, and many more great videos for us!! designer epoxy

Watched a man clearing snow with his tractor today, it was fun😁 .......... in saying that, I think it looked better with the snow, I'd have cleared a path for walking/car and left the rest as is 👍

My Grandfather had one of those on his farm, and I have many happy memories of when he would take my cousins and I on hayrides, all 16 of us. Sounds lame but we loved them.
This was very interesting and, believe it or not, somewhat novel to me. I live in South-eastern Queensland, Australia and we very rarely ever get any snow. As in, we get maybe a couple of flakes every several decades or so. Certainly not this much!
Watching this made me glad that I moved away from Minnesota. The snow is beautiful, but I definitely do not miss having to shovel it all....LOL. MUCH easier doing it with the tractor.

Nice soundtrack. That's a lot of snow and it looks wet. What did you use before the tractor? I've got an atv but it would take a long time to clear that yard. Such a luxury to have a bucket. I push mine across the road :) Always fun dodging traffic. Designer epoxy
Wondered how you were doing with the heavy duty weather. London had snow the other week (v rare) and goodness , we moaned about it. We'd never manage Canadian weather.
It’s fun when the tractors not broke like it is now. Blew the main hydraulic hose off the pump two days ago! 🤯🤯. It usually takes me about two hours to clean up after a big storm. Before owning the tractor I hired others to do the snow removal. Thanks
Yes, it’s not a problem. We do have a shorter growing season but my grandfather grew most vegetables that you would see in the supermarket each year. The weeds really grow well here too, lol. Thanks for watching
I probably cleared 10 or more times last year. Winters just starting and after I do it again today that will be three so far. On average we get 4 to 6 feet per year. Lucky us, lol. Thanks
