I took the Tractor MT125 tractor, Titan Implement bush hog, and box blade over to do some Gravel Driveway Repair and bush hogging at Tom's farm t What a beautiful place he has. We were bush hogging steep hills in places, but it was easy for the most part.
The MT125 Tractor performed outstanding. I just can't be better pleased with my new 4 foot rotary cutter from Titan Implements.
Another big shout out to Bob's tractor in McEwen, TN. He has got to be one of the best Dealers. www.tntractorparts.com/

Tony, you did a nice job on that road. Is that red clay with rock mixed? It looked fairly easy to spread. So you worked with tanks. I was with 2nd Tank Bn, CamLej NC for a couple years and our tankers were a crew and a half (smile). The teams also employed Tow Critters that did damage when damage needed to be done. Thumbs up on the video. Looking forward to your next video.

Well well brother, we have similar background. I too was Warrant, then went LDO. My brother retired U.S. Army CWO-5 and now has high-ranking GS job to follow. He doesn't know what the heck to do with himself (chuckle). I did my 28 1/2 so I'm passing the baton to my great nephew. He is already accepted to Madison University ROTC. You'd love this kid, he's what you and I want in our men. Job well done, Chief. When and where did you wrap things up and hang your boots? Don

Nice job working a graded driveway. Believe it or not, I got my Mt125 with a 5ft box blade since its all the dealer had, and they cut it loose for the 4ft blade price. The LS pulls it just the same. Plenty of torque, even with 4 tines shredding, it's no issue

Great work on the driveway! Now that you've showed us this video, I can't wait to play in dirt and gravel with my tractor! As soon as I finish splitting and cording wood, I'll switch to the dirt bucket and the rear grader blade. Thanks for sharing!

I do fix the neighbors driveways (they are steep). They offer me wine bottles as they feel redevant, which I try to explain they should not! I secretly wish we get more rain storms so I can do it more often... not for the wine!

I totally would if it was a Monday or Friday. Unfortunately middle of the week and a 4-5 hour drive each way makes it a bit difficult.

I'm up around central PA, a bit of a ways off! I already bought a post hole auger for it. At work we have an old 48in Rototiller that's been sitting in our dump unused for at least 5-6 years. My boss said i could have it if i wanted it. So i'm already getting my collection of implements going. lol

Nice job on the driveway. I do that same work up here in Montana professionally and have a recommendation for you. The box blade is an invaluable, must have tool for rough grading dirt and gravel.However you can cut the finish grading in at least in half and have better results by adding a land grader/plane to your arsenal. They are designed to ride on the side rails with two blade to be constantly cutting and filling as they go without all of the three point hitch lever action required with the box blade. Set your angle, set'er down and go, it will be "averaging the grade" as you go and do it very quickly. maybe you can rent one locally on your next gig to try out. Take my word for it......you will be amazed. Very simple to operate and not that expensive. I wouldn't work gravel without one.....Dan

If he weren’t a pal, how much would you charge a client for this amount of work? Driveway only. Recently got myself a little Kubota b2601 and some attachments for our property. Boxblade arriving next week. Thinking about paying for next attachment by doing some jobs and if it is viable here in Australia

Good work Tony, that little tractor can sure pull the box blade well! The more and more I see your tractor videos the more I question the XJ
@jimerig1343
@jimerig1343 6 лет назад
So far my major complaint about the XJ is the gear ratio... the MT has top speed of 3.8mph in low and the XJ is 5. High for the MT is 9 the XJ is 11.5. This seems silly but it makes a big difference in what the tractor can do in each range!
@Drew6709

Lengthen the top link just about 1-4 turns out to keep more material in the box scraper. That is if your machine will handle it.
@Drew6709
@Drew6709 6 лет назад
Tony's Tractor Adventure: for driveway grading, try tipping the box scraper back a little and back DOWN the driveway to grade out the center if it is high. If you have a rear end lock pedal, use it when you start spinning. Trade off is steering. With the rear locked, your machine will not turn so easy. But it is a great characteristic of the machine.
@Drew6709
@Drew6709 6 лет назад
Tony's Tractor Adventure: no worries. On my box scraper I wore the bottoms a little from pulling forward on a gravel road. It almost looked like you were gonna do the same. I have a heavy equipment background as well. Not as many years as you. :) Probably not the equipment list either. Just throwing my one cent of opinion.

All I know is that it is a Polish tractor that was similar to an old Ford. I think the company has gone default.

Hey Tony, thank you for your videos. I have 2 questions for you. 1) your videos are awesome, but I couldnt find a full extensive new holland compact tractor maintenance guide. All the preventative maintenance we should do. 2) where do you buy all your implements or where do you recommend to get them? Thanks again Tony!

@@TonysTractorAdventure I just bought the workmaster 25s today, about 5 hours ago. I am so stoked tomorrow to start getting it to work. It's the backhoe version. For some reason I thought you owned this tractor at one point. Regardless, I love your videos

@@TonysTractorAdventure It's my first tractor, and I am so excited, it was too late in the day to do anything, so I was only able to get it off the trailer and ride around with the kids a little bit, and then park it. And tomorrow its supposed to rain cats and dogs. I might still do some digging that's needed, I dont know. You know where I can find a canopy that isnt 475 bucks from the dealer?
@PopPunkPoser

Your maintenance is fairly basic. Grease, grease and more grease! Always check crank case oil level. I have a 75hp Massey Ferguson that I change the oil on every 150-200 hours or every spring. Which ever comes first. Same with my fuel and hydraulic filters and a little shot of injection cleaner once or twice a year. Keep your radiator clear of debris. Just blow it out with an air compressor. Same for your air filter. I have an oil bath air filter system which is much more efficient and cost effective, but the tractor industry wants you buying those paper filters as much as possible now. Tire pressure. All fluid levels. I'll usually do all my general maintenance after 30-50 hours except for the greasing. That I do every 10-20 hours. "EA" Everything attachments has great quality implements. Solid construction with lots of reinforcement tubing, welds and plates.

Nice work Tony but hey, we never got to see what was for lunch! LOL. Hope you don't mind a few questions as I am new to using the box blade: 1) why did you drag it without using the scarifiers? and, 2) when you were dragging the box blade, did you leave it in float (all the way in the down position)? Thanks - enjoying the channel . Cheers!
