These are some easy Trader Joe’s favorites that don’t require any cooking! They are all safe for the TSA rules and are some of the best travel snacks.

My TJ's snack list is pretty long, but I am a big fan of: Filled pretzels, dried fruit, trail mix, chicken salad, and wheat crackers. I also think that a small amount of chocolate should be mandatory!

Trader Joes is absolutely the best for travel snacks!! I avoid fresh produce and sandwiches when I travel, since some countries have strict rules about them. Also sandwiches with meats, poultry, or fish - the last thing you want to deal with when travelling is food poisoning because that chicken sandwich sat around at room temperature for too long. I prefer shelf stable snacks that will stay good for an extended period and that are compact so you can bring more than you need, in case your plane sits on the tarmac for 15 hours before takeoff, and there is no access to food, water, or toilets (yes, that happened to thousands of Canadians just before Christmas this year!) Some of my go-to Trader Joes offerings are those seaweed snacks you have here, which pair perfectly with Cheese Bites - the only ingredient there is freeze dried cheddar cheese. I pack a similar type of fruit bar, and Trader Joes freeze dried bananas and berries are perfect - they weigh almost nothing, and you're not going to get fined hundreds of dollars for bringing fruit into the country. Other favourites are a variety of sweet and savoury nuts, yogurt covered raisins, and rainbow chocolate covered berries and fruit bites. I also carry a stasher bag with a collapsible Sea to Summit mug, and a few packets each of miso soup and coffee (you don't want to order coffee on the plane!!!) Once I get through security, I get one of the airport restaurants to fill up my thermos with boiling water so I can make up a cup of coffee or soup mid flight.

Hi Jen!! I love all of this! Yes, I also love the freeze dried strawberries. I also like to bring those cups of bone broth and if I’m in a bind, find hot water to have some bone broth or soup which can fill me up. Love all of tips and suggestions so much! Thank you for sharing! 💕

I miss going to Trader Joe’s so much, by far my fav grocery store in the US. Was that Trader Joe’s at The Forum Peachtree Corners? It looks so similar to the one I used to go to on my way home from work. I live abroad now and I’m living the experience through your video ❤

@@KRodCollectiveI thought I recognized it! I think their parking lot and traffic getting there is more manageable than the Roswell Rd. one which is technically closer to me. My favorite Trader Joe’s snack is the soft dried mango. It can be sticky but otherwise travels well.

Good question! I usually only bring sandwiches if I know that I will eat it within an hour or two. For example, if I have a short flight but I need to eat and don't want to buy food. For longer trips/travels, I'll bring different things. Hope this helps! 💕
