Hello from Spain, just love your videos, especially those about actual work (rather than reviews, wich i find interesting aswell). I just happen to be an old time window cleaner myself , always use moerman squeguees ever since i discovereded them. I guess you use some dish soap.Did you ever tried carpet shampoo? Its the best solution,just a bit in yout bucket.Give it a try and you will forget about using bottles.Much better results in glass also. Negative angles in the excelerator (in swivel position) coupled with a short pole, takumi pole for instance, helps reduce kneeling too much ,wich i think you try to prevent as much as possible by seeing how you do those doors. Even those you did ,wich are not wide at all, can be done in such way.Congrats for your helpful videos ! Keep it up!

That tiny squeegee is the funnies thing I've seen in a long time! Why don't you just blue rub and skrim them? (like leaded windows)

hi trad man! i´ve been trying to do feathering with my conventional unger squeege but most times i usually leave some lines , what could be the reason? do i need to use a green rubber or a ninja squeege ? i have unger traditional squeege with black ruber. what is the difference between it and ninja squeege?

Without seeing your technique it's hard to say but you should be able to do it with a regular ergotec or a ninja. The ninja is classed as a wide body squeegee, a more heavy duty, chunky tool. Check out my video on it. 👍🏻

The left side was a ninja boab, the right side was my modified moerman boab, which Trad-Girl tried to paint black it didn't work to good lolz

@@neilpalmer9691 na not really, I did try it, you'd have to cut the Unger to which is annoying. The mod I did only takes about 10 mins but it's frustrating that you have to do that in the first place. They should have a boab a long time ago that could hold the excelerator handles. There latest boab still has issues with squeegees falling out and that tray coming off so for me I'll stick to the moerman plastic boab until something actually better and still durable comes along 👍🏻

Ettore is great, takes a day or so to wear it in but after that it's brill. Used it for years. Unger rubber is good to. Another that works in liquidators is the Pulex rubber 👍🏻

@@alexmunn36 yeah around about that, depends how many rough wooden windows I've had to work on but generally about a week per side, using it from 8am till 4.30pm Monday - Friday

Hi Trad man. Silly question but do you not wipe the edges of the glass after detailing? I always get soap lines? Also when I cut across the top I always get a vertical drag line? Is that not enough glide. Thanks for all your words of wisdom!

Heya 😊 Yeah so the squuegee I use is called the moerman Liquidator. Its been designed so that it removes all of the solution from the glass leaving nothing at the edges. If your getting lines it could be a few things. What squeegee do you use? What rubber do you use? What solution do you use and do you apply it into the bucket or on to your applicator?

@@TradMan thanks for getting back to me. I use fairy liquid in the bucket mostly but have been putting it directly on the applicator as my applicator is old and needs renewing. I use an older unger ergo tech blade, pre ninja. And unger soft rubbers.

@@danivinson yeah I would recommend always putting the soap on the applicator, gives better glide and better cleaning power. Regarding the lines you've been getting, is this a recent problem? Sometimes folks can get the odd bad batch of rubber so may just be a bad bit. Happens now and then. If you can send a short video showing the problem to my Trad-Man Facebook page and I'll have a look 👍🏻

hey fellow McKay been watching for a while forgot to subscribe thanks for the videos on liquidator still working on it you would think being a cleaner for 27 years it would be easy almost there using unger s plus so much easier but going to focus on the liquidator only see if I can perfect it like you

Hey buddy! Yeah actually it tends to be harder for folks that have cleaned windows for a long time to learn the liquidator, my father had the same issue. Took him a few weeks to adapt but now he says he wouldn't dream of using anything else now as it saves him so much time and effort. Maybe try unger hard rubber I've had issues with the liquidator for ages but seems to work much better with the hard rubber 👍

Yeah depends on a few things, like how heavy handed the user is, and also the temperature your working in, if it's hot then defo use hard rubber, as soft will stick on the glass a lot more. Always good to experiment with different brands and see which you prefer. Pulex and ettore are good to 👍🏻

A little tip when using this blade tap the window then the blade will drag for you it gets better friction and spot the window first with you're solution I use tescos lemon and when it's sun on the widows wet the window first then spot the glass wet again don't try as quick hope this helps I've used these blades for a few years now I describe them as life changing.

@@alexmunn36 25° most of the time, unless I'm working on a deep frame I may use 10° or even the minus angles. After a while you get a feel for what angle will work best. 👍🏻 Best thing to do is experiment with different angles as you work as that's the best way to learn

Yeah I know what you mean. There's been a couple of manufacturers attempt to make a boab that gives you a dry leg, unfortunately they give you other problems to contend with, like being bulky, awkward or not holding certain tools very well. I'm still waiting for the perfect B.O.A.B. Nobody has quite cracked it yet because in the end they all have the same issue, they don't completely listen to the end user. Maybe that'll change someday
