I was in kata with my thai girlfriend 2 weeks ago, my heart goes out to the people who have lost their lives, the Thai people are resilient and will rebuild ❤❤❤

Thank you for the update, Richie, despite the devastating news about the Phuket landslide. Condolences to the Burmese, Russian and Thai families who lost loved ones. Phuket will quickly recover. Landslides aside, Phuket's #1 drawback as a tourist destination are the horrendous traffic jams around the island. No thank you. The island has become overpopulated, but understand everyone is striving to make a living from this worn-out, over-commercialized tourist mecca. Just say'in.

This is terrible. I remember the server flooding in Phuket Town as well back in 2022. I suspect these incidences might only increase in the future.

Shocked to see the landslide damage it has caused. The rebuilding process will take time. We are visiting Phuket again in Feb 2025 and Maybelle's is on our to do again. Looking forward to being there again!

Good informative video. Condolences to the family of those who lost their lives. Phuket is being over developed without proper infra. On the wall which fell, better check the house support structure didn't crack. These retaining walls should have drainage holes for water flow especially when you are next to high ground. Stay safe to you and family. Weather is a bit crazy. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and every evening except today (Sat) has been raining heavily. A woman fell into a sink hole and washed away yesterday because of heavy downpour. Body has yet to be found. 😢

We take it for granted that we can build where we want, then nature comes and shows us what for. It's sad when lives are taken. A similar tragedy in Thredbo NSW in 1997.

Very sad news to see such loss of life 😢 Mother Nature certainly tests us in many ways. I am always a little surprised at the building processes in countries where tropical rain storms are regularly occurring. Water erosion cannot be underestimated especially where mountains and beaches are in close proximity. What is that story about building on sand or rock 🤔🤔🤔

Happens in many places in Thailand every rainy season, the tragedy is loss of life, but if you choose to live in areas, like mountains, got to expect it at sometime I'm afraid.

Good video but ive no idea why you're apologising for some of your previous videos about politics or the UK as they're some of your best videos with the highest amount of views? Just because some permanently offended to*sers didnt like them is no reason to bow down and apologise, absolutely ludicrous. They are some of my favourite videos and blend in well with the rest of channel. The channel is supposed to be about your life, good and bad and opinions on life, so ignore those muppets complaining and keep doing and saying whatever tou want. People often blame God or Mother Nature for their mistakes! The problem with most walls is poor or non-existent foundations. Weep holes are used in properly engineered walls. The problem is when people live (or can't) outside the walls.

i told you awhile ago you had lost the plot with your videos.the whole place there has floods and water everywhere all the time it has to affect the ground and more of this will happen for sure.

I love ya Richie, but friends tell friends the truth (to help them). As you get older (yeah, you), there is a need to pay attention to the lighting in your bathroom so you can see the hair growing out of the top of your nose. I'm in my 50's and have been very conscious of my ear hair, nose hair and "other" hair growing from places that isn't usual. You have hairs growing out of the exterior of your nose that is visible from the side view especially. Maybelle might be too nice to point it out, but your real friends will let you know. Biore strips are nice for the peach fuzz, but sometimes wax and definitely tweezers can be your best friends. A weekly or bi-weekly appointment at a salon can be your friend to wax your ears, nose (interior and exterior), etc. Up to you, but only a friendly suggestion as I like your content and think you are a great person. Keep up the great content my friend.
