He wasn't at all, stop buying into all of the fake stuff. I've been a rat pack fan all of my life and have watched their footage endlessly. The main three, Sammy, Frank, and Dean were always messing around on set and if you sit down long enough and watch the footage it's hilarious. Sammy even made jokes about his own race, they ribbed each other back and forth and countless times you can see Sammy doubling over with laughter. They adored each others company, the difference back then compared to now was that there was far less political correctness shit. Did bad things happen then too? Of course, good and bad stuff is written throughout human history, but the thing is back then these people felt comfortable joking around in each others company. People were happy, relaxed, enjoying life. Nowadays you only have to sneeze and someone's offended, this is one of the main reasons why so many people are down in the dumps or low now.
