I came here from Izzo Warrior Academy and I must say I am impressed by your knowledge and insight into martial arts and combat. I especially enjoy your humility and your willingness to experiment and adapt your art to other styles. It's a refreshing change of pace from a lot of the attention-seeking clowns we see these days. I'm subscribed!

I think the style looks legit. Time your blocks right and you can break hands. I kickbox and can see where I'd have a disadvantage, nevertheless I like what I see.

real talk...thanks for the support..and your right i have learned more with light sparring then i ever did with full contact...matter fact if you have never light sparred then you can't really sparr full contact on any technical level

I went to boarding school with a dude from nyc back in the 80's, he was there on a basketball scholarship... I remember him practicing this in the mirror with small hand weights. He was super fast, believe his name was Titus... anyways, watching these vids sparked that memory... would love to train this one day..... Respect

Questions? 1) Do you use bare knuckle fighting? 2 Do you do Grappling? 3) Do Animal strikes of Kung Fu? You can get the same power as throwing the hook and uppercut as the tiger strike crane strike. 4) What kind of kicks do you do? Example Thai Kicks, Axe Kicks, Front Snaps or exct? 5) is this material art meant for the street? I see you guys mostly train with boxing gloves, you fight how you train. You understand that some of your hits you will develipe boxing fracture? If i were you train bare knucle.

First time I hears of 52 was when Gary Busey said he was trained in Jailhouse Rock. I thought it sounded interesting but didn't look too much farther into it. I was reading that Mel Gibson was trained in to for Lethal Weapon and decided to look into it for fun and i gotta say this looks really interesting. Its good to see someone who knows what they're doing rather than some guy who watches too much UFC

Im liking this system more and more watching your vids, Ive heard so many people say you have to spar full contact to be able to fight full contact but I have learned more at light contact(TaeKwondo) than I ever did at full contact and became much faster and more powerful with the light contact by developing speed, you cover both aspects here ..I like this system

bro i wasn't trying to argue with you was trying to share some knowledge... 1. was just saying left hook is a bad idea, an uppercut actually works better. or even a counter knee. 2. when you shoot for a takedown there a penetrations step which brings you forward. and the reason why we do it when there is a jab is because the lead hand is the first line of defence during a takedown.

Yet the main character will be using 52 blocks, taekwondo and a made up form. So I've been doing research on the fighting style. if you could take time out to help me with my research i would be very appreciative.

@apercussionist91 52blocks is a unique style of boxing, the elbows are used but then you also have use of the feints which is real big in 52 the footwork which boxers like jersey joe used, the slips, ducks so 52 is a system that trains your defense first which ends up making you a very good counter striker...LGD

@tuopvm Maybe you don't understand the main concept of 52 hand block. Boxing in general is a dirty sport, it doesn't require you to use any style, it just pins you down with the rules and regulations of not hitting anyone with anything but your own fists. 52 hand blocks was devised to teach the user how to have a style within boxing style to overcome your opponent and take the least minimal damage. So, in other words, look for ESPN boxing, that's 52 blocks in action.

The art of defense is to protect ones self from harm. I myself would move out of the way of an attack. First thing my boxing instructor taught me. That's why you practice slips, ducks, repostes and feignts. But, getting hit in a fight is inevitable. Even the greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali got hit.

@CuriouserNCuriouser That all depends really, about the squating low. With practice, you can time that position and take your opponent's feet from under'em. Again it all depends. Anything can work for you if you're comfortable and relaxed with any technique that you incorporate. Again, it's practice and patience till you react instinctively.

I like what you're doing Keep up the good work and don't get sucked into the net sh*t talking. Dont feed the trolls :-) I'm just started my MA journey with TaiChi and plan to join a boxing gym for a while. Any advice? I used to be a breakdancing white kid in the 80's and I've been surprised how much (all of it) came from martial arts. I like the windmill arms punch catching I've seen Rah doing, looks like a TaiChi technique I read about but never seen demonstrated. Is that a 52 technique or just something he picked up?

Love these vids and learning the new techniques. Not quite sure where Monica Trujillo gets off making a random, abstract comments about going to a boxing gym off of a few data points in youtube videos that show only small portions of a particular system. I've seen Lyte Burly demonstrate a lot of incorporation of various martial arts. He's demonstrating one particular portion of what is their particular system which is by no means limited. The fact that she suggested to go to an old school gym to learn proper "sport" techniques shows she just missed the entire lesson that 52Block amongst MANY other arts are not here to demonstrate proper boxing for points based on a 10 point must system with judges in a controlled environment. Get off your high horse with the sport stuff.

A few things: 1) You lead with your head- against an MMA fighter you'd catch a real clean knee to the dome (just saying). 2) Stop giving your back- every single time you get pressed/pressured you weave to an almost 45 degree angle WHILE retreating. Seriously dude you would get chewed up if you came to spar with me and my boys in NY. Some of my peoples is still there, but I moved. They have fight club often. Feel free to join in one day and test your mettle. You're more than welcome.

Very interesting. I grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y (215 Mothergaston st now Stone ave) and lived there from 1975-1989. In school we use to "play" slap boxing. Open hand boxing with no gloves. What is curious to me is that the hand flourishing techniques that you use is similar if not the same to the hand techniques I saw then. How old is this system? When did it get its name? I suggest you guys really walk into a true boxing gym and all out spar with just an amateur. It will be humbling at first but a reality check that is most needed. A decent high school wrestler will have you off your feet in a heart beat and if they know basic submissions will have you severely injured or worst your life taken. If this is supposed to be street lethal than the takedown defense is severely lacking. If you fellas do not like Rollin around then at least incorporate superb
