I trained like an Olympic Swimmer for 6 weeks. In this swimming challenge I train with an even split between swim sessions and gym sessions, trying to replicate what a swimmer would do, specifically training for swimming speed in short distances and sprints, trying to improve on my 50m freestyle sprint.
This is how it went.
Thanks for watching and I appreciate you,
Sven.

To become fast in the water and develop as a “sprinter”, 2 workouts per week will be enough for you. Swim at 100% MAXspeed 4x35 and 1x50 with a free rest for 10' minutes after each time🤙🤙I have progressed so much (25sec>23sec) and am moving on to follow my dream.🕊🕊
@SvenVee
@SvenVee 8 месяцев назад
I'm interested in this. You take 10 minutes rest after doing the 4x35 and 1x50 combined? And other than that, no other distance in your workout session?
@diassalamatov863
@diassalamatov863 8 месяцев назад
@@SvenVee for example 6x50, after every 50 meters you actively rest for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes you go back to swimming for a 100%maxspeed of 50 meters. this workout develops your central nervous system and muscle regroup. but still first warm up 1000~ meters, then work set

I'll give it a try, thank you!@@diassalamatov863

As a sprinter you should be doing 4 or 5. Springing requires a lot of muscle. Caeleb dressel trains 5

Dude, im so glad to see a similar story, despite that i have 0 basics and started only when i was 28. I do breaststroke, after 3 years of training (100hr/yr) on my own with elderly folks in the public pool here in china (you know, kinda bad water quality), im now almost hitting so-called National Level 1 Athlete for 50m breaststroke at a 35sec. Man it's hard without instructions and pro training, but that desire and love to do it better keep me going. Really hope to see myself entering 30second for 50m breaststroke😂in my life...

This is motivating me to go and try competitive swimming seems a lot of fun. My dad is a professional freediver and has a lot of trophies so maybe he can teach me a thing or two. But thanks for motivating me🙌🏻

Amazing video Sven! It's so great that you share your love for the ocean. Swimming is such an amazing sport and it's lovely to see you enjoy it, keep going with these great videos. If it doesn't bother you, I'd like to give you a suggestion, a tip for the next videos: Basically, you could try inserting some comic and funny stuff... to give everyone a pinch of humor that, in the world of swimming, can never be missing. Now, I don't think much of it, but the first thing I could think of in your sport might be peeing in the water. Once, my uncle, who is a scuba diver, peed in his wetsuit during a long diving session and that moment was absolutely funny, he even wrote "I’m peeing" on a waterproof notebook during the session. He has always been telling me that there are 2 types of divers and swimmers: those who pee in the water and those who lie. I know it may sound strange as a request but, in my opinion, these are moments of happiness and carefree that always make everyone smile. I hope you like the idea and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Well done! Thanks for the video. Your underwater dolphins could use a bit more flexibility in your hips to get more of a hip drive. And if you keep your feet closer together, you can create more propulsion, less drag and engage your core muscles more.
