Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Crewe on the West Coast Main Line where services are seen by Virgin Trains, Transport for Wales, London Northwestern Railway (under TOC West Midlands Trains) and East Midlands Trains.
Crewe was a magnificent station with loads of variety, views and architecture. I haven't been back here for a while and I really did enjoy it the last few times I've filmed here. The station layout is one of the most interesting in the country with platforms scattered around and trains departing or at least being in every one at a certain point or time. My favourite part of filming here was the Class 86, absolutely brilliant to see this again, very uncommon for me to see one so a great experience there. Definitely a station I'd recommend as would anyone as this station is again notorious for enthusiasts alike.
