On February 8 1992 a friend and I planned to spend the whole day watching trains in Windsor Ontario.
1. On the way out of Lansing, we did stop in Okemos to film an eastbound CSX train. Fittingly it was 202, the CP runthrough with 3 Soo Line engines.
2. We also stopped for a quick look to see if anything was moving on the CSX at Plymouth MI. It wasn't.
Then we lost the muffler off the car! Then we lost a couple of hours getting the exhaust repaired in suburban Detroit.
3. Finally getting to Windsor in the afternoon, we take a look across the river at the NS car float operation and the old MC Detroit station.
4. We see VIA train 76 at the Walkerville station and crossing George ave on its way out of town towards Toronto.
5. Some local power and a couple of cabooses at the CP yard.
6. CN power large and small at Van De Water yard.
7. CP train 505 with a Soo Line engine and a pair of CP Alcos headed into the tunnel.
8. VIA train 73 arriving at Walkerville.
