The 90's scene in Croatia was unique due to a few world-class producers such as Phat Philly and Koolade. Both put out beats which stands toe to toe with the greatest. Koolade produced for the likes of Masta Ace. He's still in the game but with more of a g-funk flavour these days. The tracks from this particular album are timeless because they're broad enough topics (social welbeing, govt corruption, drug culture) that they ring true today as they have then. It really was a golden era for Croatian rap, albeit short lived.

Renman je puko na ljubomoru koliko sam mu vidio na face-u, oni i dalje zive od toga a on pece hamburgere, jbg buraz kvaliteta i upornost radi svoje i publika to vidi, dobio je svojih 5min u domu sportova, onda napada da mu je refren ukraden, sere Targetu sta mu je trebao taj novi album i Woo, lik se u novinara pretvorio, potpuno izgubljen, mozda je Renman i jos poneki prvi repali na nasem ali sve dok Target nije roknio na Wake Up-u onda je tek krenulo, mozda ga boli jer nije bio pozvan ni u planu na album, sorry Ren popusio si pimpu
El Bahatee je mozda najkompletniji balkanski mc sa samo 1 albumom i par legendarnih suradnji, nezz jel netko toliko ubio a ima samo jednu plocu, necu brojati Amen kao hiphop iako mi je isto odlican.

Kad usporedim današnju glazbu iz perspektive klinca kao ja koji je imao 10-11 godina kad se ovo pojavilo na Hit Depou. Ova stvar je ostavila jaki utisak na mene i danas se najtežim kad čujem. A to poratno vrijeme je bilo još doba početaka Hr. Hip Hopa Blackouta, TBF -a, a u rocku Fiju Briju Majke, Kojoti itd. U osmom razredu frend je od starog imao kazete od EKV-a, Azre, Discipline, Obojenog programa. U isto vrijeme otkrivali smo i hip hop klasike 2paca, Publici Enemy, WTC, DMX je itd A danas klinci imaju Desingerice, Raste, Kraste, Bube, Bake Prase itd sranja da ih oblikuju. Imam sad dijete klinca od 12 godina koji gleda ta sranja na mobitelu i pokušavam ga usmjeriti i dati mu da pokuša slušati ili gledati nešto kvalitetnije. Mozak je današnjim klincima a i odraslima spržen od tih sranja i Tik Toka niko se ne može usredotočiti na nešto duže od 20 sekundi.
You should definitely listen to their new album, to be specific, songs 'PŠK' and 'Tko nam je probao uzeti sjaj'. The album released 2 weeks ago, their collaborators who were selling their album and were with them for 20 years or so broke the contract because the album is 'controversial' because they are talking about deep topics about the whole situation in Croatia.

Now you've finally stumbled into the golden age of rap in Croatia! There was no cncel clture back then. Only their newest album was banned and pulled from the stores after 10 days of love... You should review two best songs from their new album - the first and the last song "Druga su vremena" & "Tko nam je probao uzeti sjaj" Another old school gem from Zagreb that will absolutely blow your fckn mind is "Stoka - Spremni za rat" he spits such sick flow there on that one it doesn't matter what language you speak nobody can deny it! And if you want to hear post-war Split before Grše and the new generation then listen to TBF especially their first two albums. Some of their songs and samples are hard to "get" if you're not from around here but listen to "Sve se vraća sve se plaća" from their second album. It is a dark street story portrayed from every characters point of view same like they did it with "3-Logija Jada" on their first album.
This is accualy not one guy. It is one of the first croatian hip hop groups that is considered the best by far at least when it comes to old headz... Guy that is flowing on the hook is the other member of the group who is simply best old school rapper whole balkan ever had. There is even a video of Juice rapping his whole song bar by bar in some fucked up reality house so you know he is the shit. Not reacting to him specifically would be like not reacting to 2pac or biggie. Target gave life to Balkan hip-hop and with General Woo makes two greathest artist in Croatian rap till today. Tram 11 for life. One and one isn't two it's 11. Croatia as a nation is very sad theese days,our gouverment obeys EU laws,and our media is doing evrything to censored evry patriotic arthist from mainstream. I know that many Serbs will find themselves offended by their new album but trust me there is no reason for that. We don' hate you,just loving our country and fighting against very corupted sistem you will understand when you take part in EU.
Bruh, I'm Croatian. I know this song for my whole life, and still, every single time it hurts the same. But this translation, it sounds even more sad on english. Tram 11 is most controverse rap crew in Croatia, they have fresh album after many years, and they have lost their label because of political intervention on them. Mean needle to the corrupted.

You all must be asking yourself is this one of the threads about croatian - serbian fights, well it's not... It's about some things about croatian warriors/soldiers than even some of croatians today doesn't know. Well let me start with Napoleon, who said, qoute: "Give me 100 000 croatian soldiers and I will conqure all world" and that says alot... There is around 4 500 000 croatians today in Croatia, and around 3 500 000 of them is outside Croatia, becouse of many historical reasons they left to U.S.A, Canada, Germany, Austria, Hungary, the majority of this croats outside croatia left during Yugoslavia becouse they were patriotic oriented and persecuted from communist party back than... There is also big community of Croatians in Austrian-Hungarian border which are called "Gradiscan Croats", they went there in period when Croatia was part of Austro-Hungary, today they are integral part of that regions of Austria and Hungary and reminder of once common state of many nations in Austro-Hungary... There is old testament in Germany about Croatians, carved words in stone of old German church, and words says: "God save us from plague, hunger, wars and croatian warriors" Many of today croatians and europe, forgotten about reputation of croatian soldiers/warriors which were common knowledge once in western europe... For examble, in 18 and 19 century in Bavaria (Germany), Belgium and in Austria, parents would scare their children if they don't want to go in bed with sentences as: "be good and go to sleep or croatians will come for you" And children would be scared and went to bed like someone mentioned devil himself... I am just writing this so you can get a point how common that fact about croatian warriors was back than... Reason why croatian soldiers had that reputation was becouse when they conqure someone they were, hm... not best "humanitarian", if you undarstand what I want to say One of the reasons for fear of Croats in ordinary population of middle and western europe, was battle where croatian cavalry served under austrian-hungary in 19 century, burned to the ground Belgium city Antwerpen... The situation with this battle is more interesting becouse of fact that millitary austrian experts back than who were in command of that croatian cavalry units, were puting strategy how to attack antwerpen, and while they did that, croatian cavalry already not just defeated Antwerpen, but burned it to the ground along with many people... And many other similar battles from which legends were made about croatians in ordinary population of middle and parts of western europe... Also in 17 century, term "Croat" was a name for elite unit of Habsburg Monarchy... Also, Croatia was never conqured by ottomans, not just becouse of croatians I agree, many other austro-hungary soldiers fought on croatian border with Bosnia, but Croatians were majority in that fights against turks... Turks also had many stories/legends about croatian soldiers (becouse they never defeated croatian soldiers ), they called croatians: "cursed demons, killers with no heart, wild animals etc..." Becouse croatians would massacre captured turks in ways that you can't imagine here on this forum... One of the croatian victories against turks, in defending croatia and austro-hungary, was battle in SISAK 1593, in croatian fortress there (near border with Bosnia), where 800 croatians hold fortress against 12 000 turks who could not defeat them, soon after another 5000 croatian soldiers came and turks ran away to their ottoman empire in Bosnia... That battle is very important becouse with that attack turks declared war to Habsburg Monarchy and after turks were defeated there, that was turn over in wars against ottomans where ottomans realized that they cannot go further from Bosnia in conquring Europe... For 1300 years Croatia was wall for all non-catholics from East, to this present days... and it will be like that always, Pope Leo X called Croatia the Antemurale Christianitatis in 1519, given that Croatian soldiers made significant contributions to the struggle against the Turks. The advancement of Ottoman Empire in Europe was stopped on Croatian soil, Antemurale Christianitatis means border and last land of Catholic Europe. just sayin
