The master bedroom's bathroom where I live has a pretty nice reverb. It's short and clean. Never muddy or honky. I sound pretty good there. Best bathroom reverb I've heard. Must be the stucco ceiling!😄 However, my favorite reverb is the one in my church's kitchen. There are two large canvas paintings on a wall in front of a 20 foot long by 8 foot tall hall that leads to the rooms. Small place, but if I sing in the middle of the kitchen and record the sound down the hall at the end, the combination of the early reflections with the ethereal tail sounds amazing, ha-ha. Sounds intentionally good. Doesn't need EQ at all. I'm fascinated at how everything combined into a proper room sound with a decent tail. My Eventide H90 wishes it sounded that good.😛
@LEWITT-audio, another thing that you could do to make the vocal reverb sound bigger is adding compression on the reverb channel only, or parallel compression.
A typical Lewit experiment! 😃 The result sounds beautiful. When the bathroom at my home is occupied I mostly grab Raum from Native Instruments. It is such a versatile and good sounding reverb that has become my goto over the last two years. Love you guys! ❤
hello there I love your content. what is the best portable audio interface to be used with smartphones and an SM7DB. preferably one with a monasterio mix switch as well as a TRS input for backing tracks and or music players. planning on using it to live stream music covers on Facebook Instagram TikTok etc. so having the feed on both left and right channels would be much appreciated. stay healthy and cheers from a blind subscriber in the Philippines! edit: a TC helicon Mic Mechanic 2 analog vocal processor will be used in between the SM7DB and the audio interface. the TCMM2 itself has automatic gain which sadly cannot be disabled. so having an interface with the lowest pre-amp noise possible would be amazing for gain staging. as an aside, I like using the TCMM2 because I am legally blind and therefore do not have the capability of using DAWs in order to add vocal effects to my live performances. so essentially having a guitar pedal but one made for vocalists is a godsend for me.
Hey, thanks for your question. We only make one audio interface but I think it would be perfect for your situation. CONNECT 6 is a portable audio interface with 2 mic preamps that have 72dB of gain (more than enough for Sm7b) and very low noise. They also have a -6dB setting which improves the signal to noise ratio further. It also have an 3.5mm stereo aux input that's perfect for connecting music players and other devices like that.
@@LEWITT-audioI apologize but I couldn't find any info on the connect 2. were you referring to the connect 6 instead? does the interface automatically switch to mono mode when connected to smartphones? having the audio recorded and streamed in both left and right channels automatically when on mobile would be a lifesaver. is there a way to activate the -6 dB mode when on mobile? what about the auto DSPs, I am not a PC or Mac user and do not have plans on becoming one.
Yes, sorry I misspoke. It's CONNECT 6. There is a mono mode in the CONTROL CENTER software that you can enable in the audio interface settings. However, this isn't a default option but it only represents certain use cases. You can set the output level to your smartphone with the mobile output fader in CONTROL CENTER. It has DSP effects... is this what you mean? Not sure what an "auto DSP" is. CONTROL CENTER has only been tested on windows and mac OS, so I can't guarantee it will work on other alternative OS
@@LEWITT-audiothank you for answering my questions. would using a splitter cable on both inputs 1 and 2 simultaneously(while matching the gain level via the physical knob) emulate a sort of mono mode? hoping for a lewitt mobile app for the connect 6. Even when with a simplified control scheme and just the essential features (firmware update, dsp, mono mode, ect)
it's something i usually do........ thanks to wild idea from my sister who literally not Audio Engineer lol my go to technic are 2 Pencil Mic + 1 Large Diaphragm Condensor for playback i using old Boombox tape set it to Flat EQ on unit
hey lewitt...yesterday i bought 440 pure and before i record something it fell...it was a small drop like from 6 - 7 inch so i am asking that can it make any difference in quality or frequency response...it is still working though
