The Machu Pichu bit is so good, like they were so dedicated to telling you it was 1994 with all the imagery and music, even making OJ Simpson canon to a Transformers story - Only to forget that the place they filmed a good chunk of the movie in has people and stuff that lives there too
@@JCardo2502It isn't supposed to be. The idea was changed for Bumblebee (2018) but there is someone sadly important in the franchise saying it is. So the situation is basically a mess right now.
@@JCardo2502 So am i and a bunch of other fans too. But hasbro is just afraid to confirm anything, 🤷🏻♀️. That's why we haven't meet a Megatron of this universe yet. They haven't made a choice. Very unprofessional imo.
Part of the reason that the whole "shooting blasters into nothing" was done in Prime was I assume because as a show there's only so much budget and time they have for each episode. A problem you would think that a big action move doesn't have in the first place! Also what about Airrazor? Shouldn't she be revived as well by Le Energon surge?
Ayyyy, congrats on finally getting this all reuploaded! It sucks you had to resort to this to get it public again, but I'm glad it worked out at least! Super excited to see what you do next!
I was getting so tired of them saying, "Til all are one." That saying has no meaning here because that's for the end of the war between the autobots and decepticons. All its here for is stupid fan service
Gonna be honest when the movie was about to end I was excited for it to be Sector 7 because of course Bumblebee had them and obviously it'll make sense to end it that way but... My smile just.... Disappeared with... Sheered disappointed and confusion. The movie already had enough issues but the ending... Yeah... Got nothing about that...
The thing about a crossover movie between Transformers and G.I. Joe is that it feels pointless. We already have that movie, it was called Transformers (2007) directed by Michael Bay. The military play a big role in the Bayformers movies and I honestly don't see how the Joes can be depicted any differently from the military in those movies.
I shared this video on the largest transformers discord server while talking about rotb with a group of people and was muted by a mod for a week for "slander" (I'm still waiting to be unmuted)
I feel I’m the only one that actually liked the ending and the fact GI-Joe is now connected to Transformers. I always wanted to see those two worlds interact and bounce off each other. The thought of Cobra Commander arguing with Megatron, The Autobots taking on GI-Joe vehicle forms, or Snake Eyes throwing hands with Starscream! It sounds so damn badass! Honestly, if it turns out well; it could be a fantastic time.
The real question is why did Unicron need the key. The dude can fly/float. He made it to the Non-descript Maximal planet without the key fine and presumably has been fine for millions or billions for years without it. Why did he actually need it. This is why Unicron is really dumb, he is so powerful then they have to think of some dumb reason why Earth & Cybertron wasn't eaten billions of years ago what is TLK & TFP had the whole his body is the centre of the earth and long dead but that is stupid for other reasons.
Also, why tf was Prime having a temper tantrum about needing the key when they literally got to earth by escape pods. Just fly over there with Stratosphere
Pretty sure it was described as him being in a coma or being asleep and that he’s just now waking up due to recent events, which actually makes more sense
The whole sacrifice prime thing was because there was an alternate scene of Prime being sucked into space and being stuck with Unicron. However they changed it because they thought it was “too sad”
Now, man, consider the possibility that Caple is actually not a Beast Wars fan, and only wanted to make a Last Knight sequel with Unicron, and got stuck with the Bee sequel and BW projects.
@@vulturedroid7674 Not just that. Imagine if the movie had been just as it was, but replace Apelinq with Tigatron and Helena with Rattrap. It´d make much more sense as a BW fan, right? It´d also make the arc flow better and save us the annoying museum director.
I wish the final battle was structured to have the be heros splitted off into individuals battles with Nightbird, Battletrap Scourge, and maybe 2 or 3 Scorponok instead of unfocused sea of gray Not-Protoforms, Nightbird flying around not hitting anything in particular, and Battletrap dying 2 mins in the fight. Id hoped only 3 villians meant they'd each get a distinct visually unique action like in the BBM or 2007 but after the museum fight the Terrorcons unique abilities arent utilized in fun ways and start to blur together Yeah
It felt like 3 movies at once: the Autobots meet the humans, Unicron is coming to destroy Earth and meet the Maximals! The movie was shorter than usual; 2 hours. People need to allow movies to be dark (don't delete scenes for being "too dark"). I thought Elena was less well-written than Noah. She had no trouble solving problems by being convenient. She's supposed to be very smart. Also, she for some reason, kept running CLOSER to the fight between Primal and Airazor! There were low stakes. The parade had "tight security" but the humans made it through easily. There could've been a narrow, claustrophobic tunnel with Noah (a soldier), teaching Elena how to crawl as fast as possible. As for the control panel, you'd think the Transformers would teach her how to use Cybertronian technology which may be touch-based (which we didn't have in 1994!). Stratosphere conveniently exists for the Peru trip. Bringing in GI Joe is ridiculous considering that most of the Autobots (including the 3 that magically didn't exist) didn't get their fair share of screen time. In fact, people were wondering where was the military when Unicron appeared in front of the Earth? Did they discover the Autobots and the others after they returned to NYC? At least provide an explanation. And why was there a big, dark cloud in the sky covering Unicron? That makes no sense. Let him be seen for the public to panic. Why did Optimus say "an ally", only referring to Noah? Is Elena an ally, too? An important lesson to learn about restraint is: kill your babies (look it up).
I think Rise of the Beasts suffers from wanting to do much like The Last Knight and Cars 2 mainly how much stuff they want to put in. Let’s not forget that writer the same person who wrote The Flash is a hack.
Where did fhe space bridge platform/citadel come from? And the hologram for the citadel? You projected that?😂in my head canon though, either G.I.Joe(sighs) or Sector 7 covers it up, just like my head canon covering this up
I dont really know what to say. But the more i watch ROTB, the less i like it. Might just be me.. It's a fun movie to watch from time to time. But in my opinion, after having watched it a total of 3 times since the theatrical release, kinda weak as a transformers movie. And if I'm being honest. I have no interest in the GIJOE crossover whatsoever. ESPECIALLY after the director who initially wanted this has now apparently left the project completely.
Well. This all makes sense, why i sorta like the movie, but not really love it. At least it had some fun parts i occasionally rewatch (but really, not often). Oh, Transformers Prime scenes where they shoot alot into nothing off screen would be money saving and time wasting. Helps with the run time. It's annoying when it happens, but it's just like Cybertron transformation sequences. It should not be in a feature film.
This movie has like no connection to Bumblebee aside from one forgettable line like the whole point of the Bumblebee movie was for the Autobots to establish a base on Earth so they could regroup and get back to Cybertron to fight the Decepticons yet they give us Beast Wars and Unicron like who asked for this like seriously nobody cares about Beast Wars we want Autobots and Decepticons not to mention they butchered the designs like look at Optimus Prime in the Bumblebee movie compared to ROTB they stripped off a lot of red gave him a stupid face and whatever color remained was made dull same with Bumblebee Arcee and Wheeljack having different designs than the Bumblebee movie and Mirage is really slim and back to Optimus Prime look what they did with his truck mode there was no reason he needed any of those modifications they look stupid on that kind of truck which was perfectly fine in the Bumblebee movie but at least Transformers One seems to be way more appealing color wise and not as depressing as ROTB was especially with the toys
Movies are made to make money, obviously, do you REALLY think Paramount is satisfied with the movie JUST breaking even, because it’s like “cool… we have about as much money as we started with.” Especially if it performed the worst, if TLK performed worse that AoE, Bumblebee worse that TLK, and RotB worse than Bumblebee, do you think Paramount is happy to see that when that trend indicates that the next will flop? Do you even think Paramount is happy that they made a huge gamble and it came back as a net neutral.
One of the most wasted things in this movie by far was the villains. As soon as I saw Nightbird’s design I thought, “She’s AWESOME! Is she going to get a proper part?” I’ll let history speak for itself. Let’s say the movie was a true Bumblebee sequel, with the Autobots on Earth trying to set up a base. Meanwhile, it turns out that Sector Seven has salvaged Shatter and Dropkick and are reverse engineering the biotech in their bodies to create a highly unethical new life form-NIGHTBIRD. Boom, there’s your hook for the sequel, another character driven story where this sort of bastard child is struggling to find her purpose in life as the Decepticons are beginning to arrive on Earth, and Nightbird is torn between joining what is technically her own people and protecting a primitive species that sees her more as a scientific curiosity despite being the ones who created her. It would be a whole lot better than her being a generic bad guy with a cool design who dies from making one stupid decision. Actually, if the stakes must be so ridiculously high, why not make the theme of this entire movie “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings”? Since Unicron tortures his subordinates whenever they mess up, what if they’ve all been roped into serving him against their will but have been doing this so long that they’re totally desensitized to the constant genocide they’re aiding? Battletrap was a petty criminal who wasn’t necessarily a terrible guy in an earlier continuities. Wouldn’t it be interesting to have more genuinely morally grey villains who the Autobots set out to save from their predicament when they learn the truth instead of ripping their heads off to push the boundaries of what can be shown in a PG-13 movie? Well, maybe Nightbird can be rebuilt by Dr. Fujiyama in her G1 form in later movies at this point-since she is a fan favorite-and get a character arc, but I’m guessing that most people don’t care that much after the snooze-fest that this was.
The final battle aside from Prime vs Scourge in Rise of the Beasts is so boring and so mind numbing, fighting in an empty, gray field where there's no buildings or cars or anything to remind you these are giant robots.. they didn't take advantage of the location being a volcano at all (aside from Prime vs Scourge, they did there). No interesting camera angles, they don't focus on the robots properly so I couldn't register Cheetor or Rhinox's robot modes til the Yolopark figures came out. The Maximals and Autobots should've been overrun and lost, there's no way they legitimately won that fight, I refuse to believe it. And talk about disappointment when Battletrap and Nightbird got taken down in 2 seconds. How pathetic. At least it took the might of an army plus the Autobots to take the Decepticons down in the Bay movies. I seriously question how Battletrap was such an unstoppable force at the Museum, but here, they took him down without even trying. What was different about this fight? Because Primal caught his wrecking ball? That's literally it. Optimus didn't do anything special, he just cut his arm and leg off and that was it. (Oh and he had his kill stolen, but Bay Prime is the psychopath. I wonder how long before Peter Cullen says he didn't like saying the dialogue in this movie too.) And the GI Joe crossover. oh my god... why? These characters barely got developed as is, now they're gonna shove in more human characters so the Autobots get less development and just stand around in the background. Who cares about GI Joe? I want Transformers! Make a GI Joe movie separate!
The worst part of this film was Scourge's face reveal, I mean were we supposed to be surprised like omg he was a freaky messed up face guy all along... or did he look like that because you just shot his face off I mean what did he look like before, was he mad because his face was all messed up. The whole thing was just really unnecessary in every way.
The most unforgivable part of this movie is that they KEEP GIVING OPTIMUS A MOUTH!! *I HATE IT!!* Edit: IT’S BAD! HALF THE MOVIE IS BAD- BUT THE MOUTH PUSHES THE SECOND HALF FROM BAD TO THE WORST!!!
They should have just had Stratosphere scan a space shuttle and convert his alternate mode into a space shuttle. So they could fly back to cybertron. In the space shuttle. Also when you re-re-uploading part two? I can’t watch this until that’s fixed :(
Nah. YOU assume that they made a live action transformers to see thel fight in real environments. It was never about that. For bay, it was about making a live action franchise and experimenting with live effects. For paramount, it was about making easy money. That's it. So while i get where yer coming from...let's not give them too much credit. Also, the fight on cybertron in the bumblebee movie proves you wrong. Having the transformers fight in CGI environments wasn't the issue. The execution was. The horegraphy was lackluster. They had no sense of weight. The setting made no sense. There was no stakes. THAT was the real issue. Had they been fighting on unicron DIRECTLY,and interected with the destroyer's defenses, that would have made a more convincing and epic finale that MAKES SENSE. Have mirage and wheeljack die during the battle in tragic, heroic deaths. Have the humans help by sabotaging things. Like that is the REAL problem of the final fight.
Yea I feel like this paperplane guy doesn't get the transformers movies to an extent. You can do a live action set on cybertron and make it work and having human elements in a transformers show or movie has always been kinda dumb to me and him saying it wouldn't well then beast wars shouldn't have work then but it did work. Idk maybe it's because of the accent that's trying make him sound he knows what he is talking about for some reason.
@@chrismaturino7938cgi is expensive. Transformers isn't a franchise business suited men would be confident enough in to give enough money to make a Cybertron only transformers movie
@fatfetus5544 ik that. That's why they should've never made a live action transformers movie in the first place. The only reason why it happened was because it was supposed to be a gijoe movie
