Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor while maintaining appropriate language for all ages, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

At 9:38 It really is great to have that G1 Shockwave in the quality and care and engineering that we always wanted. Really the height is not an issue as long as Soundwave is not shorter or taller than Shockwave. In addition to that, Starscream can be smaller or the same size but not taller than either of the 'Wave brothers. Also, I see all the extra bits as the Sentinel Drone that Shocky used to hunt down both female Autobots and Spike and Carly, so it's like two toys in one. Certainly justifies the price point (as, who else could tangle with Ultra Magnus, you know?). Great review!

"I'll wait for the Black Friday sale" sounds about right. Amazing lookin' Shockwave, but he's just too small and the super armor mode is too tacked on to justify that leader class price (of 70$ up here in Canada orz). It is kinda neat that the armor accessories can turn into a hoverboard drone thing on it's own but still. Feels like you get more bang for your buck with Ultra Magnus, which I actually have.

If it helps, you can get the MP-29 Shockwave knock off for almost leader price off Ebay. I actually really like the upgrade gear though, I've been having a great time gearing up different bots with Cog and Shockwave.

On the target website, the figure is listed for $40 instead of $50. If you go there and point out the price to a worker, they will switch it at checkout from $50 to $40. It worked for me!

In the original animated series, toys and comics, he turned into a Cybertronian Laser Cannon. The games made him a jet so he could move around in vehicle mode when playing as him.

Excellent figure. I don't think it would ever be released as just the "Gun" shocky in the US for obvious reasons, so all the added crap and the Leader price tag is the price of us getting the Shockwave I've waited since '85 for. I've paid a lot more for a lot less in Transfromerland.

I actually like all the extra bits. It's like another Cog that comes with Shockwave. I've been having a lot of fun gearing up different bots with Shockave's bits and Cogs bits. A much more fun gimmick thank PoTP stuff. Although, have you checked out MP Shockwave? It's overall a much better classic G1 Shockwave, and that transformation is magic.

Hopefully when brunt gets released it will color match shockwave. Would like to see if brunt's orange cannon can be put on shocks left hand/arm, and if remaining parts help in proportions. Would like to see some height on him, especially if he is gonna be standing with my other leader class decepticons.

Hey, brother. As always , great review. FYI if you rotate the arms at the bicep 90 degrees when you transform him you lose that droop. It's a missed step in the instructions. You can see that its rotated in the instructions photo but no step describes it. I loved reviewing this guy and thanks for being an OG reviewer inspiration P.S. congrats on the award. Rotating the arms around will help keep his gun barrel from bending down in his gun/sub mode. That’s how I fixed mine.

Am I right in saying the Siege War For Cybertron figures are the best transformers hasbro have put out. So even though this isn't the best they have to offer its still the best shockwave we've gotten. I'm really hoping we get a bumblebee and ironhide, there were three figs left when I went to get sideswipe and I wanted to get skytread but when I got it down there was a little boy who didn't see it and he wanted a jet so I let him have it. looked awesome though.

Strip away the pointless armor no one will use and reduce the price to Voyager and it's a great toy. If only they'd used the plastic from the pointless armor on the actual toy to make him slightly bulkier like Megatron.

Ok the reason I think they gave him more parts was because and made him Leader class was the fact that Voyager class figures come with melee and shooting weapons (which combine to make a weapon) and to make this sense shockwave never used a melee weapon nor a blaster. And no the one that looks like his gun mode in that one episode does not count

I love this figure, like the rest of the Siege line, its the best non MP TF figure of the character. However this is NOT a Leader class figure. A Leader class figure of a figure this size should scale close to a MP. This is a glorified Voyager. And lets be honest... none of us are going to display him with that extra kibble they are charging us an extra 20 dollars for. In conclusion I love this figure, but am also very frustrated by it.

This is a really cool voyager figure with some dumb shit thrown in to up the price by calling it leader class. I've been customizing most of the figures from this line and have to say with quality toon and comic colored paint apps most of them look pretty close to what passes for masterpiece figures, the only thing that holds them back is their size and some deliberate kibble. I say deliberate because I'm no engineer and with some minor tweaks like adding a pin or 2, etc it all folds up and tucks away or it can come off and make a decent looking weapon. It's like they're trying their best to keep people into these lines which means better sculpts but they also want you to believe the cost of their mps are justified.

Rotate the arms at the biceps 180 and then rotate the right fist back 180 and that will get rid of the droopage you mention for the alt mode.
