Yeah but optimus was desperately trying to get back his consciousness as we see multiple times that he staggers and falls. He wanted to exit his nemesis state so could not fight properly. But this absolutely does not negate the fact that bumblebee is a damn good warrior.

@@jamesliu1001 I mean the main objective in most fights is to live to the end of it Optimus could have killed him much quicker than the fight lasted but Bee managed to survive long enough to get Optimus back to normal. And most protagonists are badly beaten in most fights even when they were outmatched they lived. And yes I’m aware plot armor’s a thing

Just the fact that Bee was able to survive for as long as he did against Optimus (although Optimus was fighting himself, too) is very impressive by Bee. I didn't think he could last for more than 5-10 seconds against him.

Gotta admit that the best thing about this franchise (other than the CGI) is the chemistry between Bee and Prime. They're just like bros who would never leave eachother alone. Like how bumblebee got his voice back in this scene, or in AOE, when Bee disobeyed Prime's orders just to protect him against lockdown. It truly amazes me, the lengths they would go to just to protect eachother.

My favorite part to this day is still the part where Prime just asks "What have I done?". You can clearly hear the pain in his voice and know that while under Quintessa's control he truly was powerless to do anything.

@@Suspendedsamuel Not the forge. It looks like it, but it's not. The most logical & most likely that nobody acknowledges is blood force trauma. It was a concept in a Optimus Vs Bumblebee stop motion, but looking at that & the film, it leaves me to suggest that is the case. And yes, we saw Blitzwing rip out Bumblebee's voice box, but knowing Ratchet & Wheeljack head to Earth, they might have went back to the place it was ripped out & try to repair it back into him but no use. That's my theory on Bee's voice box story. We also hear him speak in the 2007 film, but if you listen closely, it's still damaged. So that was his real voice, but it was still all damaged & scratchy sounding. Also, the Bumblebee movie is a prequel just in case you didn't know

It shouldn’t have lasted long at all. Bumblebee lasted longer than anyone else would have. A couple of body slams should have killed Bumblebee but he got in some good hits for his size difference against Optimus.

That moment when you realize Bumblebee is basically the one reason why Optimus still had some shards of hope left in him. Think about it - he's lost everything, from his home, his most loyal and long-serving Autobots, and getting betrayed by humanity three times to top it off.

Because movies are art and art will be and can be criticized? "Just enjoying movies" is just a simplified version of enjoying something and refusing to accept any flaws it may have. It's like saying *"Let's go ride on that old clearly not repaired roller coaster, it's all about fun"* and then a lawsuit happens if someone gets hurt or dies. You can have fun but be smart about it or give people actual quality. This is how cinema was born buddy. The world didn't become "too serious" you just had people that just became too laid back

The fact that bee did actually not die from Optimus is actually impressive. It shows how bee has improved over time and how he has become as good as Optimus or even better! He showed great courage. Like in Age Of Extinction, remember how Drift said that bee has been a very bad leader. This shows that bee has improved seeing from Optimus. I feel like Optimus would have adopted bee if he could have. Edit: If this was the end for bee, a lot of people would cry

Before The war on cybertron, optimus (or Orion Pay at that time) was best friend with megatron (or megatronus at that time) to the point where they were practically brothers until they parted ways at the start of the war bumble bee met optimus during an early time of war and have fought together since, which is why he calls him an old friend

That voice you heard 4 movies ago was actually just a transmitted radio voice. Someone else's voice. This voice we hear now is actually Bees REAL voice. Optimus reaction definitely answers the question.🙏🏽

It's a stupid excuse that Bay probably put out for overlooking this small detail because he and his writers are too stupid to care about continuity. Before the 5th garbage of this series was even released, the one we all heard on the 1st movie was considered to be Bumblebee's real voice, heck they even credited a voice actor for that line.

Bumblebee is possibly my favorite of the auto bots being the scout of the entire group he has this style of fighting which just looks graceful if you know what I mean. There’s quite a few stories as to how he lost his voice but my favorite depiction of it is when he was captured by the Decipticons and they demanded to know where the others were. Bumblebee refused to give out information out about his friends whereabouts and was found heavily damaged (his voice box included) and left for dead. Bumblebee is more than capable out in the field and a deadly force to be reckon with so it’s best not to underestimate him. He’s not on par with those of the prime but he can hold his own for a good while just like this movie showed.
