Just love the sheer disrespect and hate for his enemies you hear in Prime’s voice as he tears them apart and insults them. Dude is a true warrior too, never gives up and keeps fighting no matter how hurt he is.

"You are so weak" while it was 3vs 1 and Optimus was kicking their butts

I like how he just rips off starscream’s arm then proceeds to beat his ass with it.

I legit died laughing when Optimus called Megatron "junkyard scrap" while he was just mercilessly whipping his ass all the way through that forest. Say what you will about the Michael Bay Transformers films but this was my favorite version of Optimus. He was cold blooded.

I really appreciate how well these movies have aged, effects wise. They still look pretty spectacular.

I think I just realized why Megatron called him weak. It's because he let his guard down to look for Sam.

Nobody: Megatron after optimus broke his leg twice, cut off starscream's arm, and ripped Grindor's face in half: "YoU'Re So WeAk"

This entire scene is the best part of the original trilogy. Michael Bay decided to pull back the camera, use slow motion, no shaky cam, no US Army soldiers, no hot chick looking into the horizon, just a good robots action scene.

Has anyone noticed how Optimus is the most vocal fighter out of all the Transformers they've shown? Like the amount of grunting and various other noises while most if not all the other transformers say nothing and make little to no noise unless it's a closeup of a severe ass beating.

You skipped "I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON," that's the best part

1:52 man that shot of megatron grabbing Optimus and throwing him is so sick. Megatron was really a beast when he wanted to be in these movies.

So much about this movie still impresses me. The animation holds up so well still to this day. It’s WAY better than how endgame looked.

Honestly this scene shows that he really cared about Sam and the humans,and this also shows how powerful Optimus is

I just realized how Sam trips over that tree in 1:25 xD It‘s just interesting that in 1:21 he has already passed that tree, then he apparently beams himself back to be able to fall over it.

The guy took a fusion cannon to the chest at point-blank and then proceeded to beat the living scrap outta three of the fiercest and most vicious Cybertronians, gruesomely murdering the biggest of them. Hands down the best scene in the movie.

Optimus prime was badass in this movie. This is the most legendary fight ever.

It wasn’t in this video, but the part that breaks your heart is when Optimus says with his dying breath, “Run, Sam…run….” His last thoughts were of keeping Sam safe. 🙁

There's something I have just noticed at 2:59. It looks like a cancelled sequence which could explain why Optimus was looking for Sam. There's a tree on fire near Optimus. It would seem one of the Decepticons (presumably Megatron) must have fired their weapon at Sam and Sam was unharmed. But Optimus was worried and dropped his guard while looking for him. I could be wrong here, but here's something to consider: When Optimus drew his second sword and went full rage mode, he almost stepped on Sam. His focus was on his opponents the whole time and he was determined to take them down, one way or another. So it seems odd for Optimus to look for Sam when he tore Grindor's face off just seconds ago. It's practically common sense, you don't take your eyes off from your opponents until they're defeated. So short answer is this: it's a continuity error. And this happens throughout the other films as well. In the first film, Bonecrusher rushed towards Optimus on that highway scene and we all know who won that fight. But that fight was over in seconds and that doesn't explain why Optimus was late for the city battle. Remind you, Barricade was also there but he disappears suddenly and never seen again (I ain't counting Last Knight movie canon). So Barricade could have fought Optimus long enough for Megatron to make his entry in the city fight. The same thing happens in DOTM as well. After Sam killed Starscream, Bumblebee saved both Sam and Lennox from falling. Then it's jumps to the scene where all the Autobots were captured by the enemy. Seriously how and when did those guys get the jump on the Autobots? I wish Michael Bay released the extended cuts of all the films so we could really see what happened in those scenes that didn't make it's entry in the theatrical versions

um quick question... where the hell was everyone else?!

"You'll never stop at one" Optimus knows that Sam's sacrifice could help bring back Cybertron But he also knows Megatron would not stop at killing just one human

Being a prime is no joke. Being a prime shows bravery and the courage of a bot. Optimus was so brave despite of being a support bot ( as Autobots were made for support and decepticons were the fighting bots) He fought four decepticons alone and defeated 3 of them. And got stabbed by Megatron.

Grindor was not good at fighting. He was more of a strategist for the decepticon.

I've always seen the statement "You're so weak." as Megatron calling out Optimus' emotions as a major flaw. Because Optimus went on a massive killing streak then lost his entire focus on the battle, looking for Sam, and forgot about Megatron.
