You do realize it is beyond privileged to become transgender.... their son doesn’t even want to talk about it think about the trauma of going to school and telling your teenage friends my dad turned into a woman.... it costs 100’s of thousands of dollars to preform this operation... they are in no way “marginalized” they are some of the most privileged people in society, if you talk out against them you get banned/removed from the internet... if you talk bad about a straight male you are completely acceptable/normal.... until they can learn how to take a joke and accept comedy for what it is, I don’t understand how they can not be “marginalized” they create their own experiences and spend enough money to do it to feed over 100 homeless people for over 2 months each to do it... waste of time on earth for a selfish prideful thing...

With a few exceptions, transgender individuals are the most selfish people I have ever been around. The transgender community takes full advantage of the fact that normal people are scared to call them out on their behavior.

Abby did say she won't talk about her son and she will keep her son's life as private as possible. I'm guessing her son will be raised Jewish and maybe in her community the son can be kept away from the world to some degree, but I'm also guessing that others in the Jewish community know this whole story. It's a bit unrealistic and it's going to affect her son either way, but at least she acknowledged it and is making some effort. Having said that, I agree with you, in a way it is a selfish thing to do because it is really only about her. But you have to remember that trans people go public to show support for all the other trans people who are hiding or being discriminated against or attacked. So in another way it's not selfish. It's really quite brave because of the backlash that has come and will come.

Well, he comes from a Rabbinical background and perhaps his upbringing was a bit more restricted than the average lay person in the community. That still does not give rhyme and reason to go to every media outlet you can get your hands on, write a book and make a full career about disparaging a whole community based on his personal experience. There are belligerent kids in all societies who seek fame and fortune by degrading others. I don't know the father per se personally, but know what an extraordinary mother he has ...a modest G-d fearing woman, whom he claimed he loved. If that's LOVE, who needs enemies. If you want to change your lifestyle, nobody stopping you...but to use that as a highway or springboard to gain clout and applause/ popularity ...and to add insult to injury...no...we will not stand for it. Go ...get a life and move on...but he enjoys the spotlight and riles up the media with lies and stuff that I and thousands have not experienced. And yes, I come from and live in the community...so I have every right to defend our name. We are a beautiful community with hundreds of thousands of happy people. No, we are not perfect, as no one is...But we honor and value our lifestyle like no other. Wouldnt change it for the emptiness of living a secular life. We are proud Jews walking in the footsteps of our honored parents, grandparents and ancestors WITH LOVE AND PRIDE. WE ARE STAUNCH DEFENDERS OF OUR FAITH and not he... or any other rebellious child past, present, or future will change that. The fundamental principles of our faith are called BECHIRA, which means choice...and so he chose to extricate himself from us...who cares...go live your life...But the anger in some of them, the blame...as if parents have no right to choose how to raise their kids...that part won't wash. He will be haunted by the memory forever...and no...if he continues this trajectory...he will be met by fierce opposition...which is totally normal. Go live your life and let us live ours!
