Today we change the transmission fluid on my automatic 2014 mustang that comes equipped with the 6r80 six speed transmission.
Parts used:
Lubelocker gasket : lmr.com/item/L...
Motorcraft transmission fluid xt-10-QLVC
Ford transmission filter bl3z-7a098-a : a.co/d/5d6rKjt

Is everything ok after changing the oil? Did you encounter any problems?

Isn't it 11 quarts for capacity?

@@mywa8314 it says in the manual if ur doing a simple quick pan drop n refill u should be good witj 6-7 but if u gonna actually drain it completely then yea u need the whole ammount

Hey bro got the same car and I was wondering a couple things: 1.) Had the fluid ever been changed before this or was this the first time it’s been changed? 2.) Were you changing it as preventative maintenance or were you experiencing any issues with the trans and that’s why you changed it?

So i think i did feel sluggish shifting and also on the manual it says change at 150k miles 🙌 im at 179k

Is this the V6, V6 performance, or V8? And an automatic?

I bought my 2014 Gt with 32k miles and it currently has 80k and I’m not sure if it had a fluid change before I purchased it. I’m currently experiencing shifting problems where my auto trans shifts hard. Do you think it’s time for a fluid replacement? ( sorry for the long comment )

@@guero5oh783 it wouldnt hurt it , it would only benefit it, ford reccomends to do it every 150k miles. Or you can ask your tuner to make shifts less agressive .

Check for any transmission leaks or differential leaks especially if u changed your gear ratio
