you need to do your filter most likely if it is that dark colored. The filter most likely is plugged up from the particles floating around like that.. just drop the pan and pop it in there.. was there a magnet on your plug when you removed it? I think you can get one with the magnet on it in case some of your metal bands are shaving out.. Not sure.. some have aluminum and are not magnetic though.. The clutch material is not magnetic but will sludge up on the filter if it is full of material.. You need to determine why it is dark colored.. Band material in the fluid, burned fluid.. etc.. was an excellent video! Its good to see these things done to give confidence to those trying to do this themselves! Kudos for the job you have done!!
So many things were wrong with this video, the biggest mistake is he used 2 different transmission fluids, neither type was the correct one especially the ATF t 4 please don’t follow this procedure!
Just put in some Transmission fix Lucas stabilizing no need for a Rebuilt. Mechanics Now and days don’t do There job right If anything they’re gonna mess it all up.😂
If your transmission is slipping it is too late to change the fluid, all new fluid will do is make it slip more. The old fluid has grit in it, which will make the worn clutches work a little, the new fluid will have no grit and be very slippery which will make your transmission slip more. If your transmission is slipping it's time for a rebuild.
@@TheReaganite Don't presume to tell me how it works. The friction plates inside the transmission provide the grab that makes the gears turn, once they wear out the grit from them is in suspension, and that grit is the only thing causing grip, if you remove that grit the transmission will slip... but leaving it in will wear out your mechanical components as well. So once you reach the point where the grit is the only thing keeping it going it's time for a rebuild. Hope this helps.
