This is a short, (5 minute) special interest video on a specific bus, Transperth's MAN articulated, compressed natural gas bus, plate number TP3001, fleet number 3001. This is in response to quite a few Bus Enthusiasts who have expressed interest in this rather unique vehicle. I was introduced to this bus about 23rd January 2008, before it went into service, being one of the team which picked it up, brand new, from the dealer. It was my job, as Driving Instructor, to familiarise myself with it, and then to write a Drivers Introduction, a temporary induction manual, so drivers could be authorised to drive it before it went into revenue service. My photos in this video show it before it carried its first passenger. We get to see the bus exterior, the driver's controls and the interior, along with other interesting details.
