I really hate when people say kids need one dad and one mom. Even if you ignore gay couples adopting, what about single parents? Especially if one of the parents died.
exactly !! they invalidate so many peoples families, single parents, widows, gays, polyamorous couples aswell. truely such a stupid think to think, that a kid needs one mom and one dad
Also (I’m sorry if this doesn’t make sense) gay couples might actually be better parents because of how they have to go through a whole long process and kerfuffle to have a child - they must really want and love that kid to do that.
I cant think of the exact quote but it was something along the lines of "If people gaining the same rights as you makes you feel like you are losing rights, you benefit from that oppression" and this is being seen so much.
My univeristy put a gender neutral bathroom and what a surprise it was exactly the same as a regular bathroom. Most of my friend group prefer it since you can find free tampons and pad (which aren't a school initiative but a box where people leave menstrual products for anyone who needs them) and it's decorated with rainbows.
That sounds awesome. I stayed in a dorm a couple summers ago (I usually lived off-campus, but I was working at a camp thing) and was super happy to discover that the dorm had gender-neutral bathrooms including showers... I think they were pretty much single stalls too, so there were a lot of them. That surprised me. Very different from the dorm I lived in at my previous school (which also didn't have elevators, but that's a different issue)
Unisex bathrooms: - Are clean - Have important things such as pads, tampons, and soap - Smell nice most of the time - Allow everyone to feel both respected and safe
No, it’s not sexist lol. Men are just designed to be stronger and more athletic than women in general. Biologically male athletes competing against biologically female athletes is going to result in the men winning the majority of the time. It is not sexist, it is a factual reality that has been seen countless times
I really don’t understand the argument with adoption. I personally was raised by a single parent for multiple years of my life, and those happened to be some of my best years. So, it’s not just discriminating towards lgbtq+ it’s straight up enforcing heteronormativity.
Single people(or maybe just single parents) can adopt children, making 1 parent. But people don't want LGBTQ+ couples to be able to adopt, making 2 parents. Like, how does that even make sense?
I talked about this issue with my 15yo sister who is actively competing in volleyball tournaments and she said "cis boys come to our training sessions all the time and this has never given anyone unfair advantage, so I see no reason why trans girls shouldn't be allowed to play with us."
gender specifications in sports in general confuse me. like.... why are women and men split up??? why not split people up by physique, weight, and height? Like, I know some cis men that are fucking jacked, but I also know some cis men who I could snap in half like a twig and Im only 4'10. Having someone like me, who is that short, competing against someone that's, like, 6'2 and incredibly fit wouldn't be fair to me personally! Compared to the average person in general, I have to take about 3 steps for every one step they take just while walking. It doesnt matter if theyre cis or trans, if they are much taller than me, they will surpass me. yknow what i mean? and if people make the argument "but having women in men's locker rooms means men will get distracted!!! Men will act creepy!!! then 1) thats literally judging all men. 2) thats treating women like some "things" that people just wanna look at. stfu. 3) if they are creepy, thats their own issue and they need to be reported immediately. thats unprofessional and they should not be allowed to act that way if they actually wanna go into the professional realm.
@@exist4046 wait but how’d that work , men have on general more muscle , more fast twitch muscles , bigger lungs , better eye coordination , denser bones , greater durability , greater mobility , less fat in general , and have women beat on the strength both in the upper and lower body . Of course they'd say that. They don't care about whose happy or what's good for others. They'll only just blindly follow the mistranslated bible or some dum shît like that
Citing from a book about child development. "The important reason for having children, is to share love and time with the child." That's it nothing about the parents genders or sexual orientation just love your kid.
Too bad that most parents have kids for the exact opposite reason. They just want a scapegoat/servant/trophy to show off to society. "Look, I made this and I even beat it into obedience for your convenience! Am I a good person now?"

I personally was made uncomfortable by a trans guy in the wrong locker room. Because I think if he identified as male he is. He should get out of the girls locker room and go to the right one. And my school has no excuse for not knowing he's trans. He was 18 years old and they still used his dead name and like he even grew a beard. Like no excuse at all. It made many girls uncomfortable.
Love how the "without both a mother and a father" part instead of taking away one parent and replacing it with another of the same gender it just takes away both parents _its nerf or nothing ig_
Ayyy dude congrats man! That's such a manly thing that really takes some severe masculinity that only the manliness of men possess to do. You're such a man! A dude!
Very well done. The sad part is that many people believe this propaganda. They are so manipulated that they think their homophobic and transphobic views are actually correct. Your practical and evidence-based (or non-based, as it were) approach provides a logical and critical thinking argument. Thank you for what you do.
I love how this add never mentions how 'biological women' competing in men's sports are unfairly disadvantaged. It's almost like it's never been about fairness or women's success in sports.
because its like a novice coming to compete with masters, its ok to not understand why thats admirable whereas Lia Thomas is like a grandmaster coming to bully novices 😂 dumb women shoudlve trained their shoulder width 😂😂😂
@☆chara☆ you didn't read it correctly, I said biological men in women's sports impose a disadvantage on others. Biological women in men's sports only impose a disadvantage on themselves. you understand now?
Love how the picture of a religiously approved family shows man, woman and happy kid having a hug, and the illustration of a same-sex couples family just shows the kid standing alone looking miserable. They might at least have drawn the same sex couple there as well. Or did they feel it needed censoring?
also what's gonna happen to the kids who are denied from being with a gay couple? Some defaults are gonna appear out of thin air?? No they're gonna be alone BECAUSE a gay couple was denied
I never knew the exact reason of why being non-binary was a thing and I used to hate on it quite a bit, but your channel and a few other trans youtubers have helped me realize that non-binary people are no less valid than binary trans people and I know a few non-binary people who have also helped me understand them better, and has also helped me see certain things about them in a different perspective, I'm glad i can accept everyone now 😌❤️

Saying they wanna keep trans women out of women spaces means they want trans men on T with beards and big muscles in women spaces. And honestly, if walked into the men's restroom and I'd saw, like, Jessie Gender or Vylet Pony in there, I'd assume I walked into the wrong restroom because there's women in there.
I like how denying trans women access to women's spaces implies that you can just look and them and be like, "Oh yeah, they're trans." Which isn't the case.
When I was younger my school did not care about trans people and forced me to change in the women's locker room and go to the bathroom in the woman's bathroom and it was so degrading. I was in a very low place because of it and if someone came up to me and told me I was hurting them for wanting to use a different restroom, oh god I would be so upset.
7:25 Hmm, I notice black women, especially athletes, get accused of looking masculine or being trans far more often, so it's, uhhh... "interesting" thar they drew that image that way, shows some other underlying biases.
I think my "favorite" part of transphobes is how they say: "studies show" right before a BS argument point. They make up research that goes against very basic real research. It's like adding a fancy word onto a sentence to make it sound like you know what your talking about and it's personally hilarious to me.
"kids need mum and dad to turn out fine" Bich I had both and i am extremely broken, the family I have were people with always 1 mum and 1 dad, and it is extremely broken. The relationship can literally crumble with one sentence, and I'd choose my boyfriend I have only known for 3 weeks over my family any day. I'd take 2 loving, kind, and accepting same gender parents over the family I got. The broken family were the parents care more about reputation and their parents approval rather then their own child's safety and well being. I am so fricken sick of lgbtq+ phobes thinking 1 mum and 1 dad is better, when kids who were abandoned, abused, or broken by those families exist. When kid's like me who were extremely hurt by their "perfect" family exists. I don't have loving parents, THAT was/is the problem.
The way these people weaponize women’s safety is a really scary thing. As a victim of a lot of sexual violence by men I can see how people in my situation can be convinced and genuinely scared by this “bIoLoGiCaL mEn in wOmEnS sPaCeS” kind of propaganda. This is why it’s so important to educate the masses on trans people.
1:43 Should children be deprived of a loving family, because you believe only a hetero couple can raise a child, when that same child was probably put up to adoption by a hetero person/couple, or in consequence of a hetero couple/person?
i didn't know you were trans (i've only been watching your videos since a few days ago lol) and as a fellow trans guy (pre-physical-transition) that's always wanted to be a content creator, i feel like i can really look up to creators like you. thank you so so SO much for being amazing :D
“Should church adoption centers be shut down for believing that the best environment for a child is with a mother and a father?” YES. Because if you’re allowing your personal beliefs to control what future a child has, and denying them a chance to be in a safe home because there’s two moms or two dads, then you should lose your ability to work with those children. Period.
Indeed. Meanwhile, here in Mexico, I have heard priests reminding people that, yes, if a child can get the love and support of a family, it does not matter if it's two men or two women. Just let them grow up with a family; they probably went through a lot to end up in the adoption system. This is just personal experience here in my little slice of Mexico, with Catholic priests. I have absolutely no idea of how things are in the rest of the country.

I'm like 90% sure that I'm trans ftm. I'm not out to my family. I've started going by Auggie or Augustus. My mother wanted to show me an image. That's it just an image about a trans woman who won a competition against two cis women. She asked if I thought it was okay and I said yes. It went on for a while but I said "Even *IF* trans women did have an unfair advantage against cis women, they are women, so therefore still adding to women's success and showing trans representation at the same time. And that should be a good thing. " She said that well have to agree to disagree and she said " I understand but find it disgusting that you dont think this is wrong" I'm scared. I couldn't even get her to talk about trans men. I dont know how she'll react when I tell her or if she'll even love me anymore. I hate my stepdad as he is strongly a right Republican who is transphobic and homophobic. My dad is a little transphobic but not as bad as my mom and stepdad. Not to mention my grandma and grandpa. For the trans sports thing: I know of one story in Texas where a trans boy (I'm using boy because he was a teenager at the time) was competing in wrestling, and They wouldn't let him compete against boys, so he competed against girls and did really well, and then the people he won against got mad saying that "she (cringe) shouldn't have been allowed to compete because she (cringe again) is on testosterone" 🙄🙄🙄
Lol... and they were right. Testosterone gives you an unfair advantage in women's sports. That's why the Olympics had to ban the use of Testosterone and steroids when a bunch of German women started taking Testosterone and wining against the other female teams. If you don't know what I'm referring to look it up... today their is a limit on Testosterone levels in the Olympics for trans women aka biological men who play in women's sports. Its no secret that Testosterone gives you an unfair advantage, this is basic science and common knowledge.

@@ShinyTillDawn yes... there are many things that give trans women (men) a biological advantage.. including but not limited to, larger lung capacity (important for competitive swimming), more red blood cell production, and better bone density (which equates to strength in sports like running), height and weight (a critical factor in most sports). Tall men with long legs run faster than women with shorter legs. Heavier men do better in MMA, boxing, and Rugby than thin women. Your testosterone levels are irrelevant to these factors. Cross sex hormones doesn't change any of the factors I've listed. These biological traits develop during puberty and they are irreversible. Any trans woman (man) who went through a natural puberty has a biological advantage over women, regardless of their hormone levels. Now, there is an argument to be made about trans women (men) who were given puberty blockers and never experienced a male puberty. In that case, some of the things I listed (like bone density, height, and weight) would not be a factor. The Olympic committee has drawn a distinction between trans people who experienced natural puberty and those who didn't. They don't require non-puberty trans women (men) to have the same hormone levels as those who experienced natural puberty. Regardless of puberty blockers or natural puberty, Men do NOT belong in women's sports or women's spaces like bathrooms!!! Biological men dominating our sports and stealing my scholarships is SEXISM, patriarchy, and the true oppression of women! Transgender women (men) are NOT women, they are TRANSGENDER women! Big difference.
As a cis, straight woman who doesn’t know any trans people personally I still don’t get how people can’t just look up a topic and educate themselves. That’s what I did, and I found wonderful RU-vidrs such as Jammidodger because of it.
Also, many Americans have absolutely no idea that "free speech" means that they are free to criticize the government NOT that they are free to say whatever TF they wish. This is why we have slander and libel laws, this is why a person may be legally fired from their work for popping off whatever pops into their brains & out their mouths. For a less opaque explanation: "Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction." "Freedom of speech and expression, therefore, may not be recognized as being absolute, and common limitations or boundaries to freedom of speech relate to libel, slander, obscenity, pornography, sedition, incitement, fighting words, classified information, copyright violation, trade secrets, food labeling, non-disclosure agreements, the right to privacy, dignity, the right to be forgotten, public security, and perjury. Justifications for such include the harm principle, proposed by John Stuart Mill in On Liberty, which suggests that "the only purpose for which power can be rightfully exercised over any member of a civilized community, against his will, is to prevent harm to others."" Sorry this was so long but I wanted to be as clear as possible and I am not a lawyer.
@@Kymberlee_W that is a great quote for explaining it, thank you for making me aware of it, typically i just use the fire in a crowded theatre to explain but really this does a far better job explaining the intricacy of the topic.

My lovely gay uncles raised two children, and did such a good job that the adoption agency they worked with actually asked them to take on a third kid. They were/are incredible parents. Not the main point of the video, but just a story I have and wanted to share.
I take care of a child with lesbian parents and he’s five years old and know my sibling’s pronouns and always tries his best to remember their pronouns. It makes me so happy and his parents are absolute angels, and one of them educated me and helped me find my identity
That ad was so insulting on so many levels. The part that hit me hardest was their belief that LGBTQ+ families aren't fit to raise children. My 2 daughters have gay male parents, one of whom is trans. I haven't noticed our gay-ness or my trans-ness affecting their development. They seem fine.
What's more silly, is that this entire ad is strung together by reactionary fear, but has the nerve to call a 6 year medical transition "a mere belief"
Fun fact: Scientifically, research has shown that trans people’s brains are wired more like the gender that they identify with, rather than their biological sex! So, trans people actually ARE the gender they identify with! The only thing wrong is their bodies! :D
I wish people would stop thinking being transgender is a mental illness. I came out to my parents as a trans man, thinking they would be accepting, thinking I could trust that they love me unconditionally, but I was wrong. My mom said I must be crazy in the head and be mental and my dad just disowned me and kicked me out on the spot. Luckily i live with my very accepting grandparents, who do love me unconditionally, but I still am shaken up at the fact that something as simple as gender could have me disowned. I'm not even allowed to see my sisters anymore because of it either because my "mental illness will rub off on them". Sadly, my friends live hours away now, but we still meet up once a month all together to hang out, and they are also very supportive and have been. I wish I could drive so I could see them more and see my sisters again, but I havent been able to find a close location to take the road test that's a storter wait than 6 months, so I've got 2 months left to wait and I can finally see my sisters again.
BOY!!! You’re not mentally ill!!! Im so sorry man- if you’re parents don’t love you for who you are- they failed as parents. Now ima correctly gender you: MAN HOWS IT GOING YOU ARE SUCH A MANLY MAN YOU MAN
Unfortunately, mental illness is often just a label slapped on anything that society doesn't see as normal, regardless of whether it's actually an "illness." It's not like being transgender is a disease, but plenty of people want to treat it that way because it contributes to the stigma transgender people face already.
Transphobes’ logic: your child has a “mental illness” and is thus “vulnerable”? Kicking them out of your house seems like the best option for them to “get better”.
I'm so sorry this happened to you! As a fellow trans man, I can agree that it's hard to come out. I've tried coming out before to my Dad, but he just told me I was confused and "brainwashed by social media". Of course, it wasn't as bad as being kicked out, but now I have to go back into the closet and pretend to agree with his transphobic bullshit. I'm glad your living with your accepting grandparents now. It's great that your in a better environment.

I know right! In every single video against trans women in sports, they make women out to be completely inferior to men, which I think is utterly insulting. Yup. I went to a religious school and when they mentioned religious schools might be shut down I got mad and thought "fucking good that shit is awful" it's like all the bad parts of public school got amplified because they didn't have to follow the rules and you couldn't take it any higher up if a teacher was bullying you (a teacher bullied my sister!!! instead of him getting punished, the school put in rules where instead every single person with female genitalia would be bullied equally instead, even the fricking boys got in on it and did their best to shut it down because of how clear it was it was wrong). I was supposed to go into that building to be picked up by my mom on sunday and I had a panic attack at the idea of going inside again and made her pick me up early instead.

Exactly. "You have the freedom to live the way we think you should" isn't exactly freedom, especially when that "way we think you should" goes against science and all current medical advice, and will literally cost lives. How is that freedom? It's like telling someone with a serious medical condition they have the "freedom" to be treated by leeches and nothing else, because some people don't believe in modern medicine. Crazy.

*As a ciswoman who competed in sports for college scholarships* : Finishing first place doesn't guarantee you getting a scholarship, and finishing second place doesn't mean you'll never get a scholarship. Even being on Varsity vs JV doesn't affect it that much. You have to send multiple colleges a highlight reel of your best moments, go to that school's tryouts, and create almost a resume of your academic and extracurricular achievements. Someone being better than you doesn't mean you'll never get a scholarship, and even if you don't get that exact scholarship to that exact school your competitor did- there are SO many other great schools. I could argue that a woman who's 6'0 her freshman year had an unfair advantage over me, who didn't hit 5'0 until I turned 18. But I trained harder, and worked my ass off to be as good as I could be. And guess what? Still got scholarships. And on the locker room argument - Make gender neutral spaces. A lot of people are too shy to change in front of anyone, and I didn't want to make anyone uncomfortable when they were getting undressed around an openly bi girl. Make a separate space to accommodate those who are uncomfortable, and maybe promote healthy communication skills to awkward teenagers who just want to feel accepted, loved, and included by their peers??
Also, as a disabled person, when the hell did “no one should have to compete against anyone with biological differences/advantages! ” ever fucking became a thing.
Should high testosterone women be barred from sports? Should they be made to compete against low testosterone men? Where do we draw the line with "no unfair advantaged allowed"

I had a friend in 5th grade who destroyed all the boys in gym class. A misogynist sub we had once forced her to sit out because she was doing so well. Being male doesn't automatically mean you're superior at sports.
In average it means that though. And in 5th grade you might not have gone through puberty yet. Plus she might be the best now, but even if she's the best women in the world, then in mosts sports, she will still be only placing in lower ranks as soon as men start competing with her.
@@hannahwinterhalder741 Those are bold words not supported by evidence. There are already cisgender adult women in sports who are much taller, stronger or even have naturally greater amounts of testosterone in their blood than most of the other cis competitors in the same category as them. Should they also be considered to have an unfair advantage and forced to compete with men?
@Pandora Box Well they have an advantage an there are competitions where they are forced to take medicaments to lower their testosteron, so they can participate. And it's all supported by evidence look at how fa's women run and then at men's sport they are faster. I mean the fastest/strongest/fastest jumping human is always a man. It's a well known scientific fact that men are biological stronger. Or do you think that all women are just lazy and all men just work out more? Where do you think the difference comes from?
And that "a small minority of people getting fairer treatment and protection puts the vast majority of us in danger, because I decided that they're all evil. Also, everybody getting equal rights means that we're less privileged and thus oppressed".
AFAIK the Colarado bakery was told "Yes you can refuse to bake them a cake, but when you posted the couples names, addresses and phone numbers on your FB page for people to threaten and harass them you broke the law."
Yeah, that seems to be a massively overlooked aspect of the case. It wasn't that they refused to bake the cake because the couple was gay, but that's what everyone paints the case as.
@@fafnyrslair oh man. That was happening mostly while I was in a religious school and didn't watch the news/use social media so this is the first time I'm hearing that. Obviously I thought while in that school, when they talked about it, that 'no if it was a black person you would realize that it's discrimination' but I didn't even know that they weren't suing over the cake part, it was always presented as just the cake. Fuck that teacher for real. I already hated him cuz he said that then bullied my sister relentlessly but purposely misholding facts (because I watched him reading about the trial itself, he read article after article) is awful. Wow. I didn't realize I could hate him more
Nyan Human - Yeah, I too only heard about the cake part. I’ve had fucking political discussions on the refusing the cake part. No one ever talks about how it wasn’t actually about the cake...
@Stripes what abuse? I don't see it tbh. Maybe im just on the wrong videos but most of the negativity seems to come from the transphobes that comment under other people's posts and then try to argue that trans people don't exist. I haven't really seen much abuse from the community itself yet but maybe that's just because I'm not that deep into it. What kind of abuse are you referring to?
@Stripes If you don't want to tell it's fine. I totally get that you don't want to get yelled at when you try to be nice. And yeah, "rough" might have been an understatement. But just saying, if you have like a question or anything about this whole gender activism and theory thing, I'll be happy to answer/discuss it with you.
Still trying to wrap my mind around an adoption center keeping a child from being adopted because they'd rather a kid have no family instead of a non-traditional one.
As a cis woman, someone being trans or not does not have any effect on me or how much of a woman I am. It’s annoying when people say that we are having things taken away from us. All I want is for trans women, and everyone else for that matter, to have the same rights that I do.
Karia Sislow In women shelters, women soup kitchens, women sports, "trans" women or real men in skirts or wearing long hair can impose their presence in order to intimidate and bully.
I remember this group of guys having a conversation near me a couple years back. They were talking about trans women using women’s toilets but of course saying “men.” They turn to ask me(I’m afab) if men using the women’s toilet would make me uncomfortable. I was living in a conservative state so they were obviously expecting me to say, “yes.” I told them “no” so they said, “you wouldn’t care if a man used the women’s bathroom?” I told them, “a ‘mans’ got a pee then ‘he’s’ got to pee.”(playing into the whole “man” bullshit for personal safety) Edit: Can we acknowledge that the athletics argument very blatantly plays into the misogynistic ideology that women are inferior to men? Imagine as a female athlete being told your genitalia guarantees that your hard work and dedication will never pay off.
On your edit: there is evidence suggesting that women, trans or cis, with normal testosterone and estrogen levels for women perform, on average, 11% "worse" than men with normal testosterone and estrogen levels for men; so technically, it is true that women will be slower on a sprint or not have the same physical strength as men. But that same evidence shows that trans-women who are on hormone therapy are comparable to cis-women in their respective sports categories. My source for this information is Samantha Lux, a trans-woman who creates videos on youtube regarding trans-issues like discrimination and harmful stereotypes. Suggesting that there is a physiological difference between men and women is not mysogynistic but quite realistic; however, it is important to acknowledge that trans-women's physioligy is more comparable to cis-women's, not cis-men's, as well as the fact that that does not make women worse than men, it just makes us different.
@@beardiemom I know there are differences(I guess I should have clarified), but it’s not enough to cause the kind of uproar transphobes commit to, even if trans women were more comparable to cis men(which, like you said, they aren’t). I hope that makes sense and thanks for the comment. I didn’t know much about the differences(just that it’s not as huge as people think) so this was very informative.
@@gaxalee7392 11% is actually quite a big differences, but because of that, there are criteria that a trans-athlete has to meet to compete, like being on HRT for 12 months prior to competing, which I'd say is fair, as the evidence suggests that to be a sufficient time to create an equal playing field.
@@gaxalee7392 To give a quick answer about the athletic thing, it IS a big topic and I am terribly sad and frustrated that we always either avoid that debate completely or give transphobic answers to it (while not solving anything). I am a cis woman competing in a strength sport (olympic weightlifting), and I cannot ignore male / female real differences : Just to give you a (very) rough idea, the sport has weight categories and you have to complete two lifts as heavy as possible. Men's "total" (sum of both lifts) record in -55kg category is : 294 kgs. Women's total record in -55kg is 227 kg. A 70kg difference. Of course this is a big approximation since -55kg male category is not the most competitive while women's -55 is among the most competitive in that gender, so the actual difference in strength for a same bodyweight is HUGE
And just to clarify why I am interested in this topic : I am very supportive of trans people and tired of seeing idiots not even discussing actual fairness in sport or any science backing the trans discrimination in sport but instead commenting on every performance made by a trans woman "YeAh WeLl ThIs iS a dUdE nOt a WoMaN". I would really like to see a smart conversation about this, backed with scientific evidence. And in my sport, people use Laurel Hubbard (trans woman from NZ competing in top-level and the Olympics) as an example of why it is unfair because she has transitioned late and lost very little of her strength since she competed in the male category before that, therefore now she is sweeping all national titles, records, and the ticket to the Olympics - and this completely eclipses the debate
IM GETTING TESTOSTERONE SOON I THINK AND IM SO EXCITED THIS IS THE BEST CHANNEL FOR ME TO SAY THIS I DONT CARE ABOUT THE VIDEO CONTEXT! you are amazing and i love you, thanks so much for making this video, you make me feel better, i hate my body and everything but you make me feel although there is hope thanks so much and im so excited to get started on my transitioning journey!
Congrats! Since this comment is 2 years old i am assuming you are a lot happier and feel more like you (or at least part way there) and i couldn't be happier to see a person happy and comfortable in their own body.
it's funny how these people say that it's harmful for kids to be raised by members of the lgbtq+ community, but are completely okay with kids being in orphanages, single parent homes etc
@@chilldogs5444 there isn't anything wrong with them and i have hella respect for them. I meant that these people's arguments are that lgbt+ people shouldn't adopt because it's not a "propper family" but don't seem to have an issue with other households that aren't a classic family or are toxic. I should have worded it better
when she talked about the shelters, i got actually sick. those (cis) women are victims of sex trafficking and domestic violence, she says. this lady should ask herself why a trans woman would be there. is it because she just wants to... harass them? why would a trans woman be in that shelter if she hadn't been through something just as bad?? they legit don't use their heads... ugh
the implications that trans woman are in woman's places just to harass them is aweful, if a man (since they believe trans woma are man) wants to harass woman they wouldn't participate in female sports, and go to shelters ??
I'm not particularly religious but I grew up Catholic and the number one phrase my church would preach was that God loves all no matter what. Before I married my wife (were both cisgendered women) my grandparents asked if we would get a blessing and while we didn't have a church wedding, we decided to have a small ceremony the next day where we'd get our marriage blessed. I will never forget that afterwards the priest gave us both a hug and said "it doesn't matter who you love, God always will love you. Always remember that you still have the right to children and anything else. And you will always be welcome in the home of God." I greatly appreciated that and hope that more priests can be like that.
I have a single lesbian mother she has me my sister and my bro and although she is not perfect she tries so hard and she is really amazing and keeps her stress as much as she can and makes time for all of us and our different interests
Since when is there any privacy in a locker room? If schools cared about privacy, they wouldn’t expect teenagers to change gym clothes in front of other teenagers at all.
Also, when people say stuff like that, or about trans women in women's bathrooms, do they not realise that it's probably 100x more uncomfortable for the transwoman?
The issue is men who pose as transwomen. And it is not good for the trans community to abandon women on such topics since many of them have supported the trans community for decades...so this is likely going to backfire on trans people.
Its so cool that you have a PhD in these studies. I really appreciate your content because you have very educated, peer reviewed information and sources (unlike the transphobic videos). Thank you !!
heres a fun fact i found recently: homosexual was never in the bible! being lgbtq is not regarded as a sin!! it was added in like 1800 by american printing companies
Jesus was also explicitly fine with homosexuality in the original Greek. The Roman soldier who asked Jesus to heal his slave is a pretty commonly brought up story, but the fact that the word the soldier used translated basically as "male lover" until English scrapped that nuance gets overlooked. Similarly, the "men shall not lie with men" thing from the Old Testament was originally "men should not lie with boys"; it was denouncing pedophilia, not homosexuality.
@@toastghost9145 yesss. as a pan, non-binary Christian myself i wish this stuff was more known. people using the name of my faith to hurt my fellow lgbtq+ community and spreading all this hatred is so upsetting... :/
Yes I found this out recently too! I was told by my friend I've known for about 7 years who used to be extremely stereotypically Christian; she wasn't against LGBT+ people, but wasn't exactly super supportive either. Recently she moved out of her emotionally manipulative parents house, realised that the church group she used to attend was actually a cult, and has come out as gay!
i totally can relate to „female bodies aren’t all the same too“ - i am 184cm tall and weigh over 100kg. i am big and muscular and strong and i have friends that are 150cm tall and weigh 50kg 🤷 every body is different
I'm 182cms, but I weigh 62 kilos. But you're right, we are not all the same. Until I became disabled I was good at sports and played with men and often beat them. So there is no reason trans women shouldn't be able to compete in sports with cis women.
How is everyone today? I hope you all have a fantastic day. Stay well, take care of yourself and stay safe. Remember you are a valid and loved person whose life matters so much. You are all fantastic people and no matter what you are going through it will get better. No matter anyone says in your life YOU ARE VALID. Don't listen to negative people in your life, their option is worthless. We value you alot and are glad you are here. The world is so lucky to have you in it, you are loved and beautiful.
im 99% sure that a trans woman wouldn't choose to change in front of cis women due to the fear of being hurt by transphobes. im a cis woman and im not comfortable changing in front of cis woman. most locker rooms have stalled toilets as well.
@@artvulture456 maybe it's the connotation I protest to but I don't feel being "prude" and being uncomfortable with revealing oneself around strangers like that are not exactly equivalent. You're all good and dandy in my book.
In middle and high school, I was 20 lbs lighter than most of my classmates, if not lighter so, and I usually had to wait until the locker room was nearly empty before I could change in and out of my gymsuit. And I'm not even transgender. It's appalling how hyper-Falwellian cults like the Alliance Propagating Repression use fear and panic to trick their supporters into blaming it all on transgenders for problems they didn't bring about.
As a bisexual trans man who is a christian, I hate when people use religion as an excuse to be a bigot. It says NO WHERE in the bible that you need to bully gay or trans kids. God’s whole thing was that you need to treat everyone with love and respect.
my wife and I have raised 3 wonderful, non-judgmental children... they are happier, better adjusted and politer than a lot of children I know brought up by a heterosexual couple, makes me chuckle that my youngest son being gay has been blamed on me, makes me shake my head
@@danlee7162 Ok, so all the boys who grow up in a single mom families or with two moms will turn up gay? How about girls? Do they have to grow up with a single father or two fathers to become a lesbian?
