Nahhhh the comment at 11:19 meant that they want you to go to Jamaica to see how they'd treat you for being trans. Jamaica (last time I checked) was top 10 for being one of the most dangerous places a queer person can visit/live. They basically are saying if you go there, you'd be uh severly hurt to put it lightly.

I thought it was common knowledge that as soon as your baby is born that the parents 'indoctrinate' their child based on their genitalia. You hold babies differently, talk to them differently, play with them differently, interact with them different...everyday 24/7 your kid gets messages from you defining them as male or female. This continues until they leave home. It is doubtful that your kid will turn gay or trans based on brief interactions with other kids or books. If that were possible, you probably weren't doing your job. Most kids figure out their gender fairly early (I knew at 4) and most gays/trans just come to a different conclusion than other people. You'd like to place the 'blame' on someone or something or institution, but it seems to just happen. Ask any parent of a Trans kid, they are usually taken by surprise...though not always..

And I've even witnessed people being dumb like this, too- my partner is trans, FTM, and all the time when he says "oh, btw, I'm trans," half the time they say some crud like "You'll NEVER be a WOMAN, you creep!" And we just fucking laugh

The only people who hate transgender people are people who are insecure, scared, and weak. They don't want to face their fears or admit their weaknesses so they have to find someone to hate on to make themselves feel better. At one point it was gay people, but they showed they were not going to take homophobia, so now it's transgender people, who are also not going to take crap from the haters.
