Nowadays what’s his face with the missing teeth huffing and puffing, turning the light on when Tina was sleeping and slamming things around would be considered emotionally abusive. Even getting it in when a woman was asleep or way too drunk to consent was absolutely normal back then though. I remember being a teenager and crying pretending to enjoy being r worded in my sleep because that was what was expected of me. I don’t think marital r word was even a crime then but when it was made a crime, loads of people didn’t understand how that was possible between married people. An 80s childhood meant you quite often had no idea that this is not okay. It was because men brought up in the 70s had such a sense of entitlement and often no clue about how a woman’s body worked, that they would push and push a woman until they actually started to hate his guts. Then break up and boom - their mojo was magically back again after thinking something was wrong with them, when actually it was because they didn’t have someone’s expectations weighing heavily on them like this every minute of every day. This is no shade to the guy with the missing teeth, I’m not saying that she was perfect either, in fact actually I feel very strongly his wife may be an unrealised 🌈, but I think now we’re all evolved enough to know that flooding a woman with daily anger and resentment that she’s not giving it up doesn’t exactly cause butterflies to happen 🤷🏻‍♀️! I hope they all found some kind of peace 😅😅😅 it would have been hilarious if they all had swapped partners and had a follow up 😅. Love Ricki, I wish she could make a comeback!

She’s absolutely on my gaydar too bless her, I don’t think even she knew though… we were trained that it meant there was something wrong with you if you didn’t have a man, so exploring what you really wanted was a stage many of us missed unless it was really obvious. A lot of women of my age came out later in life because how to please a man was plastered on every magazine cover - magazines you could buy when you were 11 or 12. Thinking about what you wanted or liked as a woman was a developmental stage a lot of us completely skipped.

I'm sorry, but that first woman seems so mean and cruel. Does she expect her husband to never try? Or to just accept that she doesn't want to? My husband is missing a lot of teeth. Honestly never bothered me. He lost most before I met him in our early 20s. It is what it is and I didn’t fall in love with his teeth or his lack of em. I broke front tooth a few days ago and am getting it fixed in a few days. He obviously didn’t judge me for that and I appreciate it because I feel so badly About it

And when you're married there is no more what "I" want and how "I" should look, it's about remaining attractive to your spouse. If you don't think you have to remain attractive to your man, don't get married. Because we all know that you'll get upset if he starts paying attention to the woman who cares about his opinion of how she looks.
