Marymount should be on every car enthusiast's bucket list. As good as this episode of MCCTV is it barely scratches the surface; the property is 70+ acres and after the visitor gets saturated strolling through the inside collections there's a whole new world outside and in the back. The cliche "It boggles the mind." is operative here.

God Bless this man Harold LeMay. He has preserved Amerian history with his passion for colleting. There needs to be a museum and I'm glad he and his family has plans to accomplish this. Something like the Barber Motorsports Museum in Alabama. Harold LeMay has left his mark on US History. Of course the LeMay family's plans for this museum must inlude culling his colletion down to the really important vehicles. Selling these surplus vehiles to other colleters and using these funds to establish the permenent Lemay museum. Good luck LeMay family, Harold LeMay was one of a kind. Thank you Harold LeMay.

The car I remember most was parked at the spot shown @ 0:10 - It was a 1961 Chrysler 300 G convertible with the crossram 413 engine. First one I ever had the chance to examine up close. By the time we toured a nearby BIG indoor facility, my memory slots were overfilled by acres of beautiful cars of every kind. This reminds me I need to go there again. Thanks Dennis, and LeMay family!

Loved seeing this video again. It's important to remember that there is two uniquely different Lemay museums in the Tacoma area. One being the Original and oddly somewhat forgotten Lemay Collections at Marymount. This collection in on 88 acres has over 500+cars and many historic artifacts collected by Lemay Family. It is open 6 days a week and you can also get a tour of the Lemay homestead with its 300+cars and Nancy's famous doll collection. The other Lemay collection is America's car museum. This is the more publicized museum next to the Tacoma dome. It Represents a few of Harold's cars and quite a few from other collections. I recommend you take the Time to see both of these museums.

I met Mr Lemay. My dad’s friend was a friend of Mr Lemay. They both lived in Idaho. He told my dad when you visit your son in Washington look him up and he’ll show you guys some nice cars. We had no idea who he was or what he had. He graciously took us around. We went into a building that had about 10 cars in it. I said wow you have a lot of cars. He laughed and said you want to see some more? Ok. We went into the next area. There was another 10 cars. I said it again you have a lot of cars. He laughed and said you want to see some more? Ok. Next area another bunch of cars. I said wow how many cars do you have? He said I don’t know about 22 or 23 hundred. I’m not sure I remember the numbers right. Our minds were blown. He was very funny and friendly. I remember it was hard to keep up with him. He walked very fast. Great guy!!

I lived 10 blocks from his place and had no idea how much was there. I knew from driving by he had some neat stuff but from the street you'd never know

0:52. That awesome red Charger...I've ALWAYS have wanted to own and at least drive one for decades now but have never driven one yet sadly. It's on my Bucket List. I don't think my dream will ever come true as I can't afford one of those and i don't know anyone who will let me drive one for 10 minutes. This collection is heaven for me! Hell. I wish I can go there and just look at all of the things that are there --can you imagine? I've never had much in life because my 3 brothers (2 of which have passed already) and I have Hemophilia. It's hard to get anywhere in life when you keep getting fired because you keep getting injured for days weeks and months. Now I'm on Disability. Thankfully I can still drive. Lucky lucky people to have ALL of those cars. Heaven.

I really like seeing all these different cars in one place. But as a car guy, it bothers me that they're just sitting there. That's the most admirable thing about Jay Leno's collection. He makes sure that they're all drivable so if he decides to drive one, all he has to do is unplug the battery tender and go. And he drives all of them. That being said, with a collection like this one. It would cost a fortune to keep them all ready to drive. And it would take twice the space to make it work so you could pull them in and out without moving 20 other cars

Maybe Jay Leno can help the LeMay collection.

Most all the cars are treasures in running condition or restored. Until you see it, you have no idea how fantastic it truly is. These are not and should not be on the road with hoopties and beaters driving up next to them.

Really neat layout - but also wondering how they get taken out for an occasional run. Keeping them 'exercised' can be an absolute nightmare.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to keep this many vehicles, let alone keeping them in drivable condition. Gasoline turning to varnish is just one of the issues. Fire hazard being another. They're better off just being displayed at some point.

Are you bothered that the Smithsonian's National Aeronautics and Space Museum doesn't fly the aircraft in their museum? Or the cars in the Henry Ford museum arent driven? Mr. Lemay's collection is a time capsule. If you are looking for a collectible driver, there is always The Barrett Jackson sales. Jay Leno has 180 cars in his collection, and the Lemay's have over 2400 in their collection, so in a year's time, you would have to drive over 6 cars per day.
