It's not the beast you should worry about, it's the maze surrounding it.

Are we not gonna go into the fact that the Minotaur... is actually a Centaur?
@avozsaj
@avozsaj 3 года назад
My guess would be the idea is that it's inverted, the body of a bull with a human (the pilot) head.

Worth noting: clever sorts took a look at Internal Metafold, and decided to ask Tom directly if you could use it to avoid dying to CASTIGATE THE ENEMIES OF THE GODHEAD. His answer is that no, you cannot. Nothing will save you from Castigation.
@marshroverv5632
@marshroverv5632 2 года назад
well, CASTIGATE THE ENEMIES OF THE GODHEAD is attached to manticore, and internal metafold is attached to minotaur, so you can't even try to use the two together
@InchonDM

@@marshroverv5632 This is true. But the point is that nothing will save you.

Someone told me that the minotaur's internal design is unfathomably dense. As in there is more machine inside than its outside volume could contain. The cock pit also isn't "inside" the mech. Its else where or something. Im sad its powers dont seem to relate to a literal maze, but based on everything else I just cant scrub this image out of my mind that the mech is just a 4th dimensional machine built outward from some other place & time deep inside of an infinite maze. Like the internals and the cockpit are just occupying space else where, and if you actually tried to cut in to the mech by hand (like a salvager) you would just "fall in".

Minotaur is so strong combined with Balor, the other mech will have to decide between taking damage due to your swarm of nanites or taking heat trying to move out of your area(and you can just use the mesmerizing granades to make them move toward you)

DM'S GUIDE TO HORUS MECHS: MINOTAUR Unlike most of the monsters we've run into so far, Minotaurs in D&D are actually pretty complicated. D&D Minotaurs are an entire race, rather than being an individual object lesson made flesh, and while they typically get Evil alignments, exactly how they get depicted varies _wildly_ depending on which setting and individual you're talking about. Minotaurs are typically associated with and, in some cases, created by demonic entities, and pick up a lot of the hallmarks of the mythological Minotaur. They tend to be violent, brutal, entirely comfortable underground, have a fondness for mazes (and an excellent sense of direction), and are just pretty _bullheaded_ in general. They are not, however, mindless beings or "monsters", really. Depending on the setting, they often have their own fairly prominent nations and societies, and are fairly common sights as mercenaries or other "boss" roles as they are, of course, seven feet tall and built exactly like you'd expect a bull on two legs to be. They're still usually not the kind of people you want to know, but in that they're, y'know, _people_ who you don't want to know. This, of course, also makes them way more dangerous than their raw stats suggest, because they can also do things that other sapients do like "strategize" and "plot". This can also get more complicated once you move out of D&D and into other realms of fantasy, where minotaurs can get even more out of this mold -- the most famous unquestionably being Warcraft's Tauren, who are about as far from a violence-loving people as you can get.

Kinda disappointed you didn't use "no running in my lobby!" But then again, it's kind of an old meme. I've always been a sucker for melee casting, so I really love this mech. Thanks!

Slave Systems is best used as a support ability; being able to stabilize your Genghis friend so he gets another turn to burninate is good.

I'm not certain if the description has been updated in the past year, but it currently reads "make a tech attack against a hostile character..." so sadly no more slave systems on allies.

Honestly Predator/Prey concepts sounds like a great way to remove powerful loading weapons from the fight, any time they load you can just use the action to make them hit something else. Slave systems seems like it could be good for forcing over-watch attacks on enemies while simultaneously burning their reaction, preventing them from doing the same.

It can also let you do such fun tricks as: Burn the reaction of an enemy who's best move is overwatch or a powerful reactive defense. Or my personal favorite use a weapon with a drawback at the worst possible time to use it. (Though having them blow up their own defense objective is pretty hilarious to imagine.)

I haven't played a game of Lancer but to me Law Of Blades looks really good on paper. Predator/Prey concepts sounds like it is situationally useful, but in a number of different unique situations. If an enemy has anything other than a basic mook weapon such as something with loading, a charge effect, or any form of area, then P/PC becomes painful either delaying the weapon's use or causing an area attack. The memes also make me want to use P/PC on Allies to have them use their biggest gun again, as a reaction, just for laughs. Slave systems sounds like it is the same, very situational but with a wide variety of unique situations to use it in. Save, instead of it's situations being dependent on the loadout of the target, it is now dependent on the loadout of your allies. Cause it sounds like it can force movement, which means you can force an enemy into any sort of area or field placed, onto any mine, or any environmental hazard. Again, targeting Allies for the memes to have the Balor boost into engagement as a reaction. Don't know the full rules so maybe I am talking about fowl play here, but the concept intrigues me. Edit: I just got to the Rules Update Part 2, and I must say I see I wasn't alone. P/PC doesn't work on allies anymore. I guess the game didn't like the Minotaur LLs letting the players setup a charge for a Superheavy on an ally, then blasting their ally with P/PC to fire the Superheavy as a reaction on that same turn instead of forcing the Superheavy to be fired as a full action on the next turn. Or giving your melee combat role bonus movement as a reaction, or a ram attack as a reaction. It's not like in another system that is of the 5th edition one of the most broken things is being able to spend your action to give an Ally a bonus attack or action or anything, or getting bonus actions yourself, or doing regular actions as reactions, no sir. Edit TLDR: I feel the P/PC changes are a personal attack against me and I am offended I can not meme against my Allies to make them blow up the enemy harder than the game wants to by bypassing costs and risks to go straight to rewards.
