I've been a travel nurse and a home health nurse. About 22years. Different just about every day. In home health we were expected to do some teaching. One of the things I liked. O the stories I could tell you. 🤗

When I retire I full on intend to travel nurse for at least two years!!!Mind you that’s a long time from now so the demand may not be as large then because the baby boomers will all be deceased. Hoping the opportunities are there in 20 years🙂

Also, as a staff nurse who has worked medical surgical for 15 years, we are so happy when we get a travel nurse because 1. we know they are not a brand new nurse, so we will not need to preceptor them to get their knowledge base to an adequate level 2. We are also short staffed with sometimes double the patient load having someone come in and relieve that is like magic 🪄

Then honestly why are some other/staff nurses so toxic to travellers? Jealous about our pay, but need the help. I'm nice as can be-always offer to help. SOME staff ARE great, but SOME are just horrible.
