Nordic Forest covers more than three quarters of all of Finland and Sweden, but a closer look at Denmark tells a different story. Only 15% of the land is covered in trees today as logging has depleted its reserves. As such, Jesper Mathiesen created the Skovtarnet Forest Tower, a giant spiralling observation platform which provides stunning views across the forest canopy.
He hoped that the impressive structure would provide people with a novel way to experience the beauty of this dwindling woodland.
