You can see that a lot of people feel offended cause you guys actually had the balls to throw yourselves to the world and let life happen. Most people want to that, but lack the courage. You guys are really inspiring!
Arthur Severgnini - What are you talking about??? They are not courageous at all. They are just playing pretend hippy/hipster while using their parent's money to take field trips.
I think the every month you're paying rent you could be traveling thing really hit home for me. I'm thinking of all the money I wasted on my first apartment and instead of being tied down I could have gone anywhere in the world. Definitely going to rethink how I live in the future. Thanks guys! Good luck on your travels!
JustCallMeGrace but how would you get money for traveling without work? i thought about that before but then realised that these people get payed to travel (sorta for vidéos) if you don't go to work you won't have money for plane tickets hotels food etc so i guess you can only live like that if your job allows you to it's not just about the way you spend you money rather its about how you get it
+JustCallMeGrace "Definitely going to rethink how I live in the future." if you haven't come to the conclusion how that lifestyle is not sustainable, then you are plain insane.
ljeonjko I'm lucky enough to work for a exotic animal rescue that allows me to travel often or live on site. It's not hard to stay with a friend, family member or out of your car, work for a period of time, save money, and travel. And when I decide to settle down I'll have enough experience to get my own animals, a plot of land, and generate an income from my own home. It's not impossible. It's been done before. I'm not oblivious to the challenges, I know what's ahead of me. It won't be easy but it's something I'm passionate about. Just because you don't believe in it doesn't mean it's not possible.
so you have a job that allows you to quit in order to travel, and they take you back when you return? you have no idea how lucky you are. and how do you plan to actually make money to acquire that land and animals? also, i don't know what's the standard in your country, but a one-way plane ticket pretty much takes a great chunk of monthly paycheck for a lot of people... in reality, this lifestyle isn't sustainable. maybe you can pull it off for a couple of years, but that's it.
You can pick up work and cash in hand jobs when traveling. There is always something :) Some places you can work where you will get a place to stay. A lot of seasonal jobs are attached to working hostels, also there are some seasonal jobs where they will have accommodation on or near the place you are working there are plenty of woofing jobs too, you won't get paid for those but you will get a place to sleep and most of the time you'll get food too as payment. Having things on your CV where you've done work for no money looks really good to employers as it shows your willingness to work and you pick up cool random skills when woofing. Have fun and be creative!
I am in a wheelchair, but if I wasn't... I woulda been impossible to pin down. I commend you, @stephilee for living your life on your terms! You show that cystic fibrosis who's boss! Take care of yourself! Happy/safe travels!
Just stumbled upon your videos and I love your content. I think you are an amazing person and your travel buddies as well. I feel like you are living your best life! A life 99% of the world wishes they could live. Keep doing what you’re doing. You are a true inspiration. NowI know what I’m going to do in my retirement years. I kind of wish I would have done what you’re doing 30 years ago. I look forward to more videos.
allyssahewitt i have a website with some of my art. link is in the description :) im not taking custom work right now but im working on some pieces that may be sold and made as prints in the future
Do you any advice for walking barefoot? My friends and family thought I was crazy LOL, so I stopped to please them and thought I'd wait until going on holiday alone or something, but kind of want to start doing it again. Peace.
Wow it’s been almost exactly one year since this came out. This was the first video I saw of yours and I was already an environmentalist and I wanted to live in a van or tiny home, but from the moment I found your Channel I knew that I had go follow that dream and I had to spend my life traveling. Your videos have inspired me so much and I don’t know what my life would be like now if I didn’t find this video last year. I don’t know anyone that’s remotely like me but I see these videos and I know that there are others out there with the same perspectives on life and interests that I have. I don’t know anyone else with dreads or anyone else that wants to travel, but when I see your videos I know I have to follow what I want and not what others want for me
Stephi how do you afford American health care while traveling? I’m really struggling with what my options are bc I also have a chronic illness and need healthcare but I want to travel full time.
My comment is about hair-pulling (from a different video). I'm so glad you came out about this condition. I started pulling my hair out as a baby, as a 2 year old toddler my hair looked like a boy with a buzzcut (I'm a girl). I believe it was from excessive stress as my parents fought a lot and my dad physically abused my mom. I remember going with my mom to get shoes and the shoe salesman said my hair looked like I had been run over by a lawnmower :( In elementary school I finally had hair but still pulled my hair out occasionally and had some bald spots that I covered up since my hair is very thick. Later I quit doing this but started to pick at my eyelashes, not entirely pulling them out but definitely it has taken it's toll on them :( I want to use fake eyelashes but they seem too big for my eyes - do you recommend trimming the fake eyelashes?
I'd love to go to Bali and the Gilli's it's so cheap there but soo expensive to fly to from the uk :( Anyone got any tips to get cheaper flights? Thanks in advance
So I’m just curious I just watched one of your videos and you said you have cystic fibrosis, do you bring all the stuff for it with you ? Sounds kinda dumb but I’m just curious
This was the first veeoneeye vid I ever saw. Jason you cracked me tha fuck up with your boredom. Switching from the left side to the right side sealed the deal for me. Been a everyday follower (dude) ever since.
You and Jason seem to vibe well, you're both on the same frequencey, it seems. Your voice is very soothing @StephiLee. Can you sing? Safe travels to you both. Keep flowing. (Don't go breaking this one's heart, Jason. ;)
Oooohhh I just realized shephi , you have a perfect voice for making guided meditation videos!! Honestly I was listening to a guided meditation with a woman who's voice was all upbeat and kinda high pitch , it was very offsetting and I couldn't relax. But yours!!! Perfect!💚🙌
I have watched like 2 videos of yours and i have already made a bucket list point to leave work for at least a year at some point in my life and just travel Very inspirational tbh
Subscribed because of the other guy, I just met y'all/found your YT channel. Y'all are great, love y'all and keep your chin up through this shit, the both of you! :p
So proud of you for doing this!!!! Its crazy seeing someone from MassArt on the other side of the world! There's a bed in FL and Boston if you ever need it. (Jen from dorms if you remember me)
Yo Jason. Do not waste your emotions, concerned with the negative comments of others. Cant please the world bro. You better take care of her. Dont use her as a resource for peraonal gain. You are lucky to have that cool chick around you. I dont know if thats a good thing or not. She could be a challenge to be with. She seems chill, and smart tho.
Do you guys have any tips or tricks on traveling with animals or have you ever traveled with animals before? I have a sugar glider and a small dog who I'm working on her being a service dog so that she will be more well-mannered in public places. Upon getting them I never thought about the fact that I could or could not bring them with me when I travel, as certain places don't allow animals I suppose. It's just not even an option for me to give my animals away to anyone. I love them way too much! And I could only imagine the mental toll that would have on them to have someone abandon them that would be cruel! For me right now I think the only option is for me to get a van so I can travel with them that way and have solar power for them inside the van and then maybe eventually figure out a way to research places that allow animals in different countries but I doubt I can bring my van with me to another country so they would have to stay in a hotel I guess some of the time. Hmm maybe I just answered my own question LMAO
Love you so much, your so calm and not shouty like others. I’m so sad we aren’t allowed dreadlocks in school, though. I’m so getting them when I’m older, lol. Love you 😘
you're just beautiful - personality, ideas, voice, smile, looks! 😁 keep up the videos, its nice to see and hear something else than the usual youtube bs..
You look genuinely happy and relaxed. Usually when youre in videos with other people you look like youre painfully forcing yourself to smile lol. Like with Victoria she acted so wild and wierd and you seemed like she sucked the energy out of you and you had to fake laugh and smile at her dumb shit. Have fun you guysss!!! Keep the vlogs coming
