When is the best time of the year to visit ?
@AdamaJatta
@AdamaJatta 3 года назад
Hey lovely, Thank you for taking time out to watch my video, commenting, hopefully subscribing and liking my video! Now. Let’s tackle the question you posed. To be frank... The answer is subjective. Are you going to visit family/friends? Are you going to party? Are you looking to just visit and then dip out? What is your budget like? - flights, enjoyment, travel/transport, food, if accommodation isn’t free (as in, family or family friend’s house) - then, hotels/Airbnb’s, etc... WHAT IS THE MAIN POINT OF YOUR TRIP? Take the above questions in to great consideration BEFORE booking or planning your trip. LET ME ANSWER: If you don’t mind missing out on all the “fun” activities and you happen to be on a tight and somewhat “small” budget (Nigeria ain’t cheap either way. You need some COINS)... fly any time off peak! If you want enjoyment and the detty Lagos scene is itching your body to join... November through to first week of January is a great time to travel and also the most POPULAR time for travel to Nigeria... especially Lagos and the East, for “village/town/city” turn up and weddings. Other good times to come are Easter, and the summer period/holidays. So from like end of July/August through to October... you have a LOT of concerts, parties, fashion events/showcases, etc During these peak times, you’ll find the majority of expats and IJGBs + wannabe IJGBs with interesting/questionable and sometimes applaudable accents - BEWARE OF THE FRAUDS! Don’t enter one chance babe 🤎 These times are great for networking, socialising, making friends and finding “bae”. I tried to cover most things, but if I did not... You can message me privately too! Xx ALWAYS BE SAFE WHEN TRAVELLING, ESPECIALLY ALONE. LET YOUR LOVED ONES KNOW YOUR WHEREABOUTS AND WHO YOU’RE WITH AT ALL TIMES. DON’T GALAVANT AROUND TOWN WITHOUT A PLAN OR REASON, AND DO NOT TRUST TOO EASILY. WEAR YOUR STREET CAP AT ALL TIMES. Don’t be scared lol... but stay vigilant and alert. Have fun and I might even spot you around town ❤️🤎

@@AdamaJatta I have a friend that lives in Lagos, we've been friends for 2 years. I was thinking of going solo in December because I heard it was fun but its so expensive, I'll definitely book for October or January. Thanks for the video and responding to my comment.

@@joliearytravels ... You’re absolutely welcome 🤎 As long as you trust your friend and you keep your family updated with your whereabouts... and make sure they’re able to track you, you’re good! Those are good and quiet times to travel as they’re off-peak and cheaper. Let me know when you’re going, closer to the time; and I’ll try to link up or advise you/recommend things, etc...

LOL Guys! Please note that I AM NOT THE NIGERIAN EMBASSY and I DO NOT work for, NEITHER do I REPRESENT the NIGERIAN EMBASSY. PLEASE enquire at the embassy for each case as they are all different. I know things that are VERY easy to google, but your girl also has a job and personal life that she is busy with. I feel SO bad when I'm not able to get back to you 'on time'. 😭☹️ I most times have to contact the embassy on your behalf and that ain't easy! ...After ALL the wahala you guys are putting me through, you better subscribe, like, follow me on insta and tag me in your pictures so I can see who I've helped! 😊 I honestly love you ALL!!! Hi im from Namibia ,Windhoek.I have a question.What type of Visa do i need to get if i want to travel to Nigeria in Lagos with the purpose of visiting a church-SCOAN only?
@AdamaJatta
@AdamaJatta 5 лет назад
Hi Kudumo! Thank you for stopping by :) I hope you've subscribed and liked? To answer your question(s); YES, you will need a visa to enter Nigeria. Specifically, I think a tourist visa. Visa applications are made through the Nigerian Embassy/ High Commission in your country and it is normally a simple procedure. The church should send you an invitation letter which you will present to the embassy with your application form, passport, passport photo and the prescribed fee. Please contact SCOAN if you should be requiring further information. I hope I helped? xx

Thank you lovely! ☺️ I’m glad to be able to assist/help somehow 🙏🏾 Answering your question is not an issue… however, I would require more info in regards to the intended location(s) and what your idea of “surviving” entails. Are we taking entertainment, travel/transport, medications/medical bills, electricity and other things in to consideration… or does “surviving” to you just entail food and certain necessities, in this circumstance? Let me know! 😊❤️

@AdamaJatta
@AdamaJatta 3 года назад
Ok… I understand you now! Benin should be significantly less expensive than Lagos… especially during the Christmas season. I don’t like discussing money affairs online so that no one targets you or your child, however… I’d recommend taking no more than £400 - £600 for the both of you. It should cover everything you’ve mentioned and allow you to be relatively “comfortable”, to the standard you are both accustomed to. Hotels aren’t included in this btw! I would also advice that you keep aside some cash (either in your Nigerian account or available and ready for someone trust worthy in Germany to send to you, whilst in Benin). Christmas time can be a bit hectic/rowdy/suspect. Take into consideration any security logistics that may be required. Let me know if I’m missing anything out or you have more questions 😊 … find me on Instagram. We can schedule a call/chat!

@AdamaJatta 5 лет назад
Hey Donette! I thought it might be easier to answer on here especially as it may help someone else in a similar situation... plus I didn't want to approve your message with your personal email attached for privacy reasons. Anyway, to answer your question... - A valid passport for at least 6 months is required,- You WILL be needing a valid visa (most likely requiring an invitation letter),- Proof of polio and yellow fever (within the past 10 years) vaccinations (see my video on prep tips). - You should obtain your Nigerian visa from a Nigerian embassy or consulate in advance of your travel. - You can obtain a "visa upon arrival" at the airport only by official prior arrangements before travel. I would recommend that you visit the Embassy of Nigeria website for the most current visa and entry information. Also, please note that you cannot legally depart Nigeria unless you can prove, by presenting your entry visa, that you entered Nigeria legally. I hope this helped hun? Thank you for watching and supporting. Update me on your trip and let me know if you should come across any problems... I'll try an assist where possible. Maybe see you in Lagos... AJ x

@@MsMimiSmith Aww thank you!! :) ..To answer your question; if you hold an ECOWAS passport, they will stamp the visa once you reach passport control in Lagos/Abuja or wherever you'll be flying to in Nigeria. Nigerian passport holders obviously do not require a visa to enter... just make sure you have your American passport/green card to be able to get back in to the states. However, if you hold any other passport that requires a visa for entry into Nigeria, then you would need to get it done at the embassy closest to you. You can apply upon arrival and I have seen emergency visa's done at the office by passport control, however I am unsure as to what circumstances they would fall under. To avoid any disappointment, stress, inconvenience and embarrassment, just make sure to clarify this at your nearest embassy. I hope I helped?! xx :)
