Well, I havn't posted on this song for about a year now and I have to say it still lightens my heart to hear it, I just had two deaths in my family and this song really help. Praise God!

When I first came to Christ it was literally like a huge boulder was taken off of me my sin and shame was killing me. I felt light for the first time in my life.This song helped lead me to Christ among many others my parents were always playing Christian music

Jesus wants to lift it away and he will to all who come to him with simple faith God loves you so much he sent Jesus to redeem you and me. He paid the price for our salvation with his blood ... Such an awesome song. I actually attend the church where Joel Hansen leads worship, its always a great service with such a talented band. I was surprised when I found that he was the writer of this song because I always sang it when I was little!

Almost 8 years ago, I sang this song with nearly 100 other kids in the Tri-State Youth Choir. This was our opening song in the performance & was the main thing that hooked me into joining again and again every year. This January could very well be my last year in the choir since I'll be graduating.. It's been such a wonderful journey & I've gotten so close to God. It's nice to listen to this & think about where it all started.

My mom introduced this to me when I was really young. I used to think they were talking about transforming into literal "traveling light". Like they were as free as a beam of sunlight. Not carrying less. I still like my younger self's interpretation

I have had to travel often to make a paycheck this year with no certainty of my future. You grow weary after a while. This song seems to be the one that lifts me most and gives me comfort when I travel. I love the way they sing about God's love, his acceptance of who we are through forgiveness and the freedom to be his loving, obedient children. (2Corinthians 3:17 Now, the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, he gives freedom.)

Very hard-to-find song, but definitely a gem. I grew up on this song and the Max Lucado book Traveling Light. Two singers that are both known for strong, introspective lyrics - couldn't have matched a better pair for this song. As a worship leader and songwriter, I aspire to write something like this someday.

@Yaron1989 thanks for your sharing..I'm not a 'believer' either (not yet anyway), but I've been listening to alot of Christian music since I happened to see the movie Fireproof and discovered Warren Barfield, his music is AMAZING, and not too 'out there' for lack of a more delicate phrase. You might check him out. I heard Sara's song 'You Are The Sun' on the Christian radio, and love her voice, I like this one too.
