Such a beautiful build Brian! What awesome attention to detail as always! Great to see you back with a video! Hope you keep sharing with helpful information! Big shout out to Mr. DAN P! Another top notch builder with a great Eye! Keep making it happen bro!
Really good to hear from you Chris, yup im still around. Been pretty busy at work the past year or so. Taking up a bunch of my time. Thanks for more then kind comment. Im in it for the long haul😂😂. Got more stuff comming soon
Nice build👍👍 I got out of rc's for about a year now but I'm about to get back in maybe with some 1/8 scale crawlers. I love Dan P's drag builds he's why I made my wheelie bar a while back almost two years ago that with the mod 1 gearbox my 2wd slash was hook'n and book'n on 4s and 6s power.
Thank You , lookin forward to your return to rc’s. I remember your mod1 gearbox video. Not bad at all for only having a dremel and a whole lot of determination. The car in this video has a mod1 gearbox. There is a video on my channel showing the first mod1 gearbox made. I also checked out some of the bikes you have put togther. Awesome work my friend. Keep up the good work. You have a talent for figuring things out and making them work 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a immaculate build just incredible! I've just come into the RV hobby 3yrs ago and I'm offroad mostly. This however has peaked my interest thank you for putting the time for this build✌
No doubt that's a beautiful build, love the looks! I've never heard the words "really nice shocks" and "Integy" in the same sentance. Lol. But they do look bling.
What a beautiful build, I love that color and also the wheels! I'm in the process of building a Traxxas Slash drag car, it has the Parma 1971 Dodge Demon body that I had custom airbrushed at SKG RC painting in California, that body is for display and it has another body, the Parma 1969 Dodge Charger that I will use when I drive it. I can't wait until it's finished, it shouldn't be much longer! Anyways, thanks for sharing, you earned my sub!
Truthfully the most awesome Drag build I’ve ever seen……wow!! The attention to detail…. The fit and finish overall “bad ass” appearance….. nicely done my friend….. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💯
custom fast rc I gotta say learned quite a bit from you when I built a 100mph rustler I think I screen shot the integy transmission and went to the garage and drilled out the motor mount and done it 3 times since awesome
Thats a really nice build. With the speed these cars are hitting and ease of sliding down the track on the roof, its hard to find a car this nice after a session of racing.
Thanks brotherman you answer important question i wasnt asking or understanding i built custom slash all aluminum when integy first offered parts it was a shelf queen while i used other slashes including 4x4 s and 55 chevy parma body i beileve i wanted nova body and didnt understand why i need put bandit arms other than wanting skinny wheels fit under makes sence bodys different widths tires sizes were confusing too i think those wheels from kyosho optima back in the day but they offered release
That's the most beautiful RC I've ever seen!!! 66/67 Chevelles are my most favorite cars of all time and you've done a GREAT job on this build. I just ordered a Slash roller this evening, to do a build of my own. I can only hope to do HALF as good of a job as you have done. AWESOME BUILD👍👍 and great video, Thank You
You must be the DON GARLITS of RCdrag cars man!! That's the NICEST drag RC car I've ever seen, SICK. I could only WISH I could build anything like that, very nice my man!!!👍💯
Great build, looks really good. I am in the UK and the rc drag racing has not really taken off in the UK. I have built the slash drag car but want to put som more upgrades on it and you have shown me some brilliant stuff, thanks for the exelent video.
Thank You Steve, Just need to get a few friends in a public parking lot on Sundays and race. 9 times out of 10 other people will get intrested and it builds from there. Good luck Brotha from across the ocean.
Built my slash into a little bit of a custom drag car. Not really for racing, just for having fun. Put an 8th scale system in it, run it on 6s. Carbon fiber LCG chassis, Integy front and rear arms, Integy steering bellcrank, Integy front bulkhead, Proline Powerstroke shocks, MIP X-Duty driveshafts, Hot Racing diff locker, RPM Transmission case, STRC wheelie bar, and STRC shock towers. Thing is an absolute animal.
Thanks Mr. Sirk. Kinda hard giving info on gear box in a comment section. It is a total custom set up that requires machine shop work. I did race the car towards the end of the season. 550 can is key.
Havent ran the car yet Jake. Been busy working on other projects. I think mid mount would be better. Weight of the motor in front of rear wheels may improve handling.
I'm looking to get back in to RC, the traxxas slash seems to be a very versatile design from a 2wd to 4wd from a basher to a street ride.. was it hard building this rig or your rock crawler rig? And was your crawler rig more money than a normal crawler rtr?
Thank You Joseph, Not to hard to build, just take your time. Took me few weeks to put it together. It helps to watch as many related videos as you can to learn about options. All of my rc’s have been upgraded. Does cost more to do that.
What a great build! You and Dan P. take builds to the next level. I have some 2.2/1.5 front and 2.2/2.0 rear wheels from spi racing and I'm looking for on road tires. What do you reccomend? Thanks.
Man, all I can say is wow. And thanks for the info! Wish I would’ve had this spelled out like you’ve done, but sooner. I spent a small amount that I didn’t need to, but, I’m getting it straight! No idea where I’m gonna find guys to race with! But I’m moving fwd as if it’s gonna happen. If you ever do a basics vid on how to tune to go straight, I know we would appreciate it. I like your vids, not wasting a bunch of time, getting the facts out. Thanks! Great job! Beautiful car! I subbed right away, I can see I’ll watch your stuff. I’m in SW Ohio, no idea where you are, but if you know of a way I can start networking, let me know. Also, may I ask what length of shocks those are. That’s my next purchase, just trying to dig out length. I’ve customized the stock ones, but feel a need for something better, something I can fine tune. Btw, I. Building a slash, street eliminator. I have Jconcepts wheels (that’ll be chrome) and tires. Also, a set of proline primes, kyosho black wheels, couldn’t get chrome, so I’m going to use the chrome paint pen. Currently, I have a parma 68 Camaro. Kinda wish I would’ve waited on this body with that narrow stance. Using a Sidewinder sv3,5700kv motor, (just what I already had) Love your body mounts! I hate seeing pins on a beautiful body. I could talk for days! Take care and thanks!
Thanks alot My Friend, the shocks i have are from integy. They are same length stock shocks are. But i did shorten the length by using spacers inside the shock. Shortens the length.
I hope I don't sound stupid. I am new to the whole speed and drag race stuff. Use to race carpet cars, but that was over 20 years ago. My question is about the pack next to the esc. Can you tell me what that is and why it would be necessary. By the way, awesome build sir, looks great!!!
