Traxxas Stampede 4x4 Brushed 4WD 1/10 scale monster truck (67054-1) - Product Review 

My son and I are new to rc. I just bought him a brushed stampede 4x4 for Christmas. We are really impressed with it, it's a tough truck and can take some punishment.

Old video I know. Probably about the same age as my brothers Stampede. I bought him the brushed Stampede 4x4 when he said he'd like to do some running RC with me. I ran my Nitro Revo a lot at the time. When he got it, even with the nickel metal he loved it. First break wasn't really a break. Popped off a shock cap. That was literally the only problem he had before his motor bearings started going out. Before the motor did quit, we put a brushless system from Hobbywing in it. That's when we started finding all of it's weaknesses. All started with the plastic axles. I got him some steel axles from eBay, bad idea as they detonated in a half hour. Swapped out for MIP axles and then it started to shred tires and slipper clutch plates and pads. Now his Stampede is quite built. Tekno center driveshaft, spiral cut gears in the diffs, MIP axles, aluminum shock mounts, GTR shocks, 14 tooth pinion on the Hobbywing 3300 kv motor, Hobbywing Max10 ESC. There is much more as far as upgrades. Next purchase is going to be the new Proline belted trenchers. They are on hold at the moment as I've got other upgrades for my RCs to buy first. I need an aluminum bellcrank for my Losi SRR, tires for the UDR, installing the Mamba Monster 2 into my Summit, putting my Spektrum receiver into my nitro Revo, putting a spool into my TRX Bronco, and new props for my ProBoat Zelos. Too much money, and not big enough of a paycheck for all our RCs. Lll

I just bought this exact one from an owner that didn’t want it for cheap, literally only used it once with a single scratch. Mine was red like on the box. Thanks for the video.

Good review, and I agree that the XL-5 Pede gets overlooked. I have a brushless 4x4 that I built up from a roller I got off eBay, but I still occasionally consider buying an XL-5 to putt around in smaller spaces. One other difference that I think is worth noting is that the XL-5 version has a taller ring gear in the differentials, reducing the overall gear ratio. If you add an equivalent brushless system, it won’t be as fast as the VXL. Back when the Traxxas Telluride was popular, some guys changed out their stock diff gears with the Pede 4x4 XL-5 gears, in order to slow it down for trailing and crawling.

You can fit a castle 2650kv motor with the mamba monster or the mxl6s. I run this set up on 4s and it is a beast!! Stampede 4x4 is one of my favorite truck. Great video!

Thats what i started out with. But mine was red. One season and probably 500 bucks later, its a total animal and just performs excellent

I just got the unassembled kit a few days ago, gonna take my prolines and vileneon brushless off my 2wd pede and put on the 4x4 😁😁

Will this one wheelie on command like the 2wd brushed version?

The 'pede has been around for over 20 yrs,it's not living in the slash's shadow.

I just recently got the kit model and built it. It seems to run good aside from the gear mesh never quite being right. It seems too loud. Maybe I'm just not used to 32p gearing.

Do you think in your opinion that the AWD Stampede is better than the 2WD?
