It sounds like the problem is the soil. Chernozem has a high phosphate and mineral content, which causes VLF metal detectors problems! You may find that a Pulse Induction machine is a better fit, though they cost more. On your TreasureMaster try using it in BEACH mode to cancel out some of the phosphates and organic compounds, which can act like salt. This should help your machine be more stable. But you are still fighting a highly reactive soil, and a Pulse Induction machine like the TDI SL will likely perform much better.

White's Electronics are insured too much from the ground balance. If you can, open your Metal Detector, look if there's a trimer for setting up the ground balance. Set up the ground balance, so that it can see copper and so it doesn't react to ferrite - fero. If you succeed in setting up your detector you'll have a bigger depth with around 30% for every metal objects.
