Hi Dr Rutland love listening to you.i have COPD I quit smoking before I was diagnosed and I'm. On oxygen but I don't wheez cough..I am.over weight and I'm. Gonna work on losing weight but I do get short of breath when climbing stairs but I think if I lose weight it may help..but why do I not wheez or cough is that a good sign wish you were my doc you have made me feel good just from watching your video
I'd say definitely a good sign, in all likelihood it means you only have emphysema and don't have chronic bronchitis, which is the other main disease that goes under the COPD umbrella. It's the same for me, I only get coughing and spitting badly about twice a year during one of the so-called exacerbations: episodes that occur when you get a cold or a flu and it goes down into your lungs causing inflammation that generally requires antibiotics and sometimes even steroids to heal
I was just diagnosed with emphysema and copd and have never smoked or lived around smokers. I was told mine is most likely due to mold exposure and immune system response to environmental pollution.
I just got diagnosed with mild COPD. I had asthma my whole life. This sucks. I pray for everyone of you. I’ve done research and found a really good result in Stem Cells. But they are very expensive. About $10K a procedure but it’s lasts all year and feels almost like you don’t have COPD.
