I have been on a friction hitch hunt and so far this has just jumped up to my top 5 and I haven't climbed on it. I just tied it a couple times and felt the action and it's smoother than alot yet it still holds

In So Cal . Small trees are quicker to set up. Shooting the videos can take up to 4 hours some times. Thank you!

Great knot once again Bino! People find it lazy, but when i need to prune a little tree like that and i dont want to take the ladder out, i just swing my rope over a limb and i do one foot on the trunk and one in the foot ascender. Saves so much energy on the arms and core. I'm gonna go try this hitch right away!

Thanks I wanted to check this hitch out and I couldn't really see how to tie it when I was watching matt Cornell tie it. Usually a michoacan man but trying to branch out try new hitches. Been using the cataloan lately I like it.

I'm using one of the fly ropes 11mm prussik cord 8mm HRC 24" and 30" Kask helmet. Buckingham master 5.0 saddle.

So this one has the same anatomy as the Constrictor knot just a few added wraps to the top. This one is much easier for me to remember personally but I also like the Catalyst a lot too. Being a similarly heavier guy do you prefer one over the other?

I have not used the Constrictor but both the Cornell and the Catalyst worked well for me.
