I have the Emonda. I wanted the Madone, but since I live in SoCal. There's not that many flats around. So, Emonda won by default.

I'll make whatever road bike work for me and get fast speeds on it. I use the cannondale caad 10 since I got it so cheap from someone recently. For performance, I'd get the madone. These new bikes are expensive, its like buying a used car. But if I had to pick, madone would be the one. I could make the domane AL2 work, its a road bike after all, it'll go fast with that power output I'll put on that thing and it will do hill climbs no problem. I think bike performance has more to do with the fitness of the rider than it does the actual bike amd materials thats on the bike.

Nice to the point video and no rambling. The 2023 Madone no longer has the adjustable Isospeed top tube and has that Isoflow cutout in the seat tube. Odd looking bike IMO.

... I have a 2013 Domane 5.2 Carbon (3X10 rears) , w/ rim brakes ... that weights in @ 16 lbs 4 oz .... I just love it ... but TREK doesn't make it anymore .... they have added HEAVY disc brakes w/ a compact double ... so sometimes they DO NOT improve the product .... IMHO !!!!

There is a Domane RSL that has the same aero profile as the Madone. A lot of people don’t know this.

Don't worry about choice, the Emonda is getting killed off soon. Buy it while you can (if you want, obvs)

Honestly? Those bikes are a shame... NOT talking about quality but about price! My bike f.e. was about € 2.900,- bucks new in 2017. Brand: Storck!! Carbon. Shimano Ultegra 50/34 rear 11/32 DT Swiss R23 Spline 1600g (a pretty nice wheelset for hilly areas like mine!!) Only 7,6kg total!! And now?? You can feel happy if you find a bike with that weight at a range of 5.000 bucks. Forgive me but furthermore i´m never going to buy a bike for 5000 bucks with a 105 or Rival and average wheels at max, not because they are bad, but because it is just not worth it. You´d do better with a cheaper frame and nice components tough. But hey, just about 12000-15000 bucks and you can have it all...?!?! Sry, this kind of turned into an equipment sport for posers somehow... Today i saw a man, about 50, big belly, riding at about 8-10 mph at max - YES, on a Pinarello F12!!!!
