Actually Burrow took a special pic that he arranged where he acted like a lineman and had the 5 OL make the Heisman pose. He never gives accolades without beginning with them.
Honestly, before this season, I said Trevor Lawrence is the best QB college has ever seen. But what I saw from Burrow this season is surreal. I’d appreciate either one of these fine talents.
I agree with you. Burrow has had the most impressive NCAA QB season ever... but it's still only been one season. Hard to imagine he won't be great going forward, but why did it take him until 23 to bust out? Lawrence has been blue chip his whole life. Not to mention we're comparing Lawrence at 18-20 to Burrow at 22-23. Im not a fan of either program, I just agree Burrow has had a surreal season, but Lawrence is still safer going forward IMO, but that doesn't mean Burrow can't be great too.
@@tuffgongc9 this is his first season in this offense. He even said osu tried to make him something he wasn't. It's quite simple, burrow is the better qb by miles, his season highlighted how important offensive scheme is to a qbs success 👍
I tend to agree with both of you. I just hope they get drafted to a team that’ll set both of them up for success rather than just handing them the car keys and say “take us there.”
Peyton G explain how he is better by miles Trevor Lawrence is basically a 6’6 accurate Lamar Jackson joe burrow but a terrible defense Trevor has already proved himself when the lights are the brightest
Peyton G also this is the exact same thing that happened last year when Dwayne Haskins was balling out and now is nothing in the nfl one great college season doesn’t mean nfl success
Cant argue tht logic but Lawrence is pretty clutch and makes big plays as well so think we're in for a TX vs USC championship type classic. Not sure why so many ppl are down on Lawrence right now
Taurean Depp dude it’s gonna be like Seirin vs Rakuzan from Kuroko no Basket. Trevor Lawrence hasn’t lost since High School like Akashi and Joe Burrow was a great backup like Kuroko. If you know Kuroko no Basket, Kuroko won.
brendan gilmartin lol played yourself. they literally said because Trevor Lawrence is younger that he’s better and much more durable. so stay of my comment.
avataraang360 he barely even throws over 60%. Missed throw after throw. Made stupid throw after throw in the playoffs. Joe Burrow has been dominant every game of this season versus the best teams. While Trevor struggled vs the first good opponent he played throwing the ball.
That's the thing about Joe. You're not going to rattle him and he can do pretty much whatever he wants. The man is cool, smart and reads defenses like a veteran. Because of the draft and the team picking him, his time in the pros won't be good. It will be like Archie Manning's. But unlike Archie, at least he will get the big bucks.
SMB Bandit well because it’s a championship and Trevor has been there before and won... pressure could eat up joe, hopefully not I hope it’s a dog fight but we’ve all seen it happen before.
Runnin Gunnin Trevor does have the experience but the way joe plays is so calm and it seems like he’s been here before even tho he’s not. Even after the OU game he said they were expected to be there
Going with Burrow all the way. He threw more TD's at the Atlanta Falcons' stadium in TWO GAMES than Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons QB) did THE WHOLE SEASON.
Justin Deliberto because he’s a sophomore and Burrow is a 5th years senior committtee favors those who are in their last year, Lawrence doesn’t play good enough competition during the regular season, he waits until the playoffs to turn on the jets many factors go into it but Lawrence is 20 and Burrow is 23 experience>skill
Preston Spencer but joe burrow went undefeated in arguably the hardest conference in college football while breaking many records and just waxed Oklahoma like they’re a division 3 school.
Wow, this didn't age too well for some. Especially with the way things are going in the pros... Trevor Lawrence: 18/37 (48.6%) for 234 yards and 0 TD's Joe Burrow: 31/49 (63.2%) for 463 yards and 5 TD's The scary thing is that Clemson had the #1 defense in the country and LSU was kneeling on the 4 yard line to end the game...
No Bama last year was not a better team. And Clemson is worse this year. LSU rewriting the record book this year while almost 50% of their games are going to be against top 10 teams. (7/15)
@@andrewcoleman5095 yes they were the better team. Clemson always slacks during the season. This year the remain undefeted....so far. But if I recall they lost to Syracuse 2018 and Pittsburgh on 2017.... Ijs I see this every year. Everybody say they arent good enough and clemson proves everybody wrong. They beat everybody but is still looked at like an underdog.
“Obviously, I want the Clemson kid. But man, this is the second time I’ve watched Joe Burrow play.” Ok sports analyst Rex Ryan. Watch some more film before you interject your opinion.
One season miserable enough to net the #1 pick is enough. I’m thrilled the Bengals are in the spot to get Joe. I hope these two have a long fun NFL rivalry.
@@jacobpetion3395 he can't - he's got a Master's degree already. But, he could pull an Eli Manning and refuse to play unless traded. Yet, being an Ohio kid I wouldn't be surprised if he thought he could save them. And that's too bad.
Still not sold on Burrow being better than Trever Lawrence in the long run. Sure he had a historic season, but that ONE season is not enough to sell me.
I'm not an LSU fan but it baffles me that anyone could pick anybody over joe burrow. Like he has beat 7 top 10 teams this year. He's easily throwing for seven touchdowns in two quarters and he could easily throw 15 touchdowns in a game if he wanted to. it's almost not even a contest so I don't understand how anyone could choose Trevor Lawrence over Joe burrow I just don't get that.
@@kaboo2009 that makes a lot more sense because I just don't get the perspective Joe burrow is Miles and Miles Ahead of pretty much everybody in the last 5 to 10 years
@@cadenmiller8524 he's also been in this offense for 1 year so I believe that's congruent. he's an extremely talented and great player who's in the correct offense now 👍
I don't get all the hype for Trevor Lawerence. 21 QB had more passing yards in the regular season and 12 QB had a higher completion percentage. 5 QB have higher pass efficiency rating and 4 have a higher QBR. So how is he a generational player?
187 Misfits Spade osu is better than lsu ( overall). lsu does for sure have the best offense in the nation but their defense close is to non existent so
@Charles Goodwin No you haven't. The moisture on your screen is the spit leaking through your braces. Go tighten up that loose gut of yours and cut and paste some more replies nerd.
Thank you. And they also werent the reason that Ohio State couldn't score touchdowns and put it away. To me it's a very similar thing to all of the Packers fans being pissed off at that dude for dropping the onside kick in the NFC Championship Game years back. In that game they couldn't score touchdowns and let Seattle hang around. It should have never come down to an onside kick so to blame the whole game on that one dude, even though that was a tough play, is dumb.
Trevor Lawrence is overrated and he only had a good game only AFTER the targeting. Joe Burrow easily outshines him. Go LSU and OSU's Burrow! Change my mind.
winning a championship in his first year is over rated? Joe happened to land in a complete team who just need a thrower. He have to transfer because he could not get the starting job. He did learn as he got older. More power to him. I will pick a guy who have a championship in his freshman year.
Comments by both QB after the games: Clemson QB Comment = I left it all on the field. Clemson Won by 1 touchdown. LSU QB Joe Burrows Comment = I was off and the Receivers had to step up I need to improve for next game. Won by 35 points. What's my point ? LSU is playing ball on a whole other level.
Yeah he's that dude that dude who didn't play a quality opponent until last week and then barely won the game Joe has beat Florida, Auburn ,Alabama, Georgia ,Oklahoma ,sorry but Joe is that dude
@@Kplattjr1 Where that dude at now? Oh yeah he's the one hoisting the national championship trophy GTFOH on Clemson being even in the same sentence as LSU if Clemson was in the SEC and not the ACC they would even be in the top 25 Clemson was exposed for what they are overrated and garbage
Burrow has had five years of elite college coaching and development. Lawrence is only in year two and just hasn't seen what Burrow has. Lawrence may have a stronger arm but certainly not more accurate than Burrow, also Burrow has put up his numbers against clearly better competition than Lawrence and when Lawrence faced the first truly elite defense he had to run more because of pass coverage and pass rush, which he will see in the NFL.
Last year when he beat one of the greatest collage defenses ever in Alabama as a freshman balled out so what makes you think he can’t play against hard competition
@@isaiahthomas9919 Did not say that, but the Bama game is a small sample size. That game wasn't entirely him either that elite DL that is now in the NFL had something to say about the outcome also. Joe Burrow being behind JT Barrett at OSU had more to do with Urban Meyers love for running QBs. Had Ryan Day been the head coach he would have played sooner, that would have benefited him and Haskins who would have not left after only one year of starting. Burrow is completing passes at a record high percentage, he can scramble but passing is obviously what he will get drafted #1 for. Lawrence will get drafted first in 2021 for the same reason, it would be expected that he would continue to improve. He has an obviously great passing ability, the ability to read defenses quickly is what separates Burrow from him right now.
Lawrence. People are sleeping. This guy is 29-0 never lost a game. Won a national ship against a strong Bama team as a freshman! The guys is a winner & very versatile think the OSU game will show that. He’s tough dude and undefeated still...
😀😀😀😀Rex Ryan said that he wants the CLEMSONn kid this explains why he is an analyst instead of a coach everybody should know Joe burrow is the best college quarterback ever
Mason Rome i was at the game and the refs helped, but ohio state also got stopped and was held to field goals. you can’t win with field goals in a big game with these two powerhouses
Happy to see Ohio lose when the coach makes the boneheaded move to punt from the 39. Come on guys, the best teams find ways to win at the end of games. If you're playing a Clemson or LSU, you have to play to win there and go for it. And of course, the analytics will also back that up. A punt there? Sometime I wonder if these coaches are capable of critical thinking under pressure.
Burrow is 23 and Lawrence is 20. The fact that you’re even asking who you would rather have means the answer is Lawrence in the long term and for this game seeing as he’s already been here
Joe and Trevor have both had great seasons but who, really, has Clemson faced this year besides Ohio State? Joe Burrow has led convincing wins over six Top 10 teams this year including blowout performances in SEC Championship and the Semifinal against OK. Gimme Joe.
LesPaulDisciple:. Trevor came into this season carrying tons of expectations after having a freshman season for the ages. He stumbled out of the blocks corrected himself and now he's on the precipice of another National Championship. That's a real load to carry. Don't underestimate Trevor.
@@joelk-lq4cg It's not a bigger load because no one knew who Joe Burrow was. He did not have any expectations on him. Now if he was coming back next season expecting to duplicate what he did this season then that's a real load to carry.
Cade Miller he plays no one😂😂😂 but I will give him credit for winning against Ohio state, joe burrow didn’t lose this regular season playing way better competition and having better stats. We’ll see who comes out on top the 13th
HES GOING NO*1 OVERALL.. HE JUST THROWN 8 THATS 8 TOUCHDOWNS IN THE SEMI FINAL AND WON THE HEISMAN.. BUT WHO WOULD I WANT?!? WHO MAKES THESE FUCKING QUESTIONS?!?
Where these guys err is that they are holding up last year. They still haven't learned this lesson. This is Burrow's year. What could be more evident? Trevor Lawrence and Clemson are an amazing program but no one is on LSU's level. 1 word defines LSU's offense: unstoppable.
Still think OSU is the better team and matchup vs LSU. It’s a shame they couldn’t finish off Clemson and made all of those self inflicted errors. LSU by 2 TD’s.
Joe Burrow all day, y'all need to stop sleeping on my mans.. I'm no OSU fan, I objectively watched the game and it was so obviously the refs gave Clemson the game. In the first half OSU had all the momentum when that BS targeting call was called. OSU had the chance to go up 24-0.
Football is a game of momentum, especially college football, where the players leave it all on the field every game. The refs know this, and took all the momentum away from OSU bad call after bad call.. But you're right about the Clemson redzone defense, it was impeccable. The only TD in the first half was that long run play. I mean but OSU did shoot themselves in the foot by dropping TD passes early which would have blown the game wide open. That's neither here nor there though.. I'm not sleeping on TL by any means, he's a fckn rockstar lol he has a all the qualities of the perfect QB. But Burrow has 'it' to me, the it factor cannot be taught and if you mix the it factor with all the qualities that Burrow has, you come up with that one in a generation type of QB. That's how good I believe Joe Burrow is and can be. Very coachable and a team player too.
@@robertadrian1184 Exactly! Anybody who says the refs didn't change the game is LYING. He saw his first real competition since Bama and was getting DESTROYED til then.
Trevor Lawrence all the way. Joe is having one magical season. Didn’t do this last year and didn’t do this at OSu. The bengals will be very sad if they draft him at #1..
Bro, last year he had no time on the team before he was playing. The difference between this year and last year is that he had an offseason to work with a system, not on the fly like last year.
He lost the starter at Ohio state because he got hurt not because he lost the position battle and last year he came after spring training and barley knew the playbook I think he will be a great nfl qb
Am I the only one that doesn’t like Trevor’s throwing motion? It’s not textbook and it just looks ugly. The ball doesn’t come out good, and he honestly doesn’t look like he knows the fundamentals of throwing a ball. I mean, Andrew Luck was the best college QB I’ve ever seen, and to say Trevor is better is just blasphemous to me.
Johnny Diabetes Trevor Lawrence 3 greatest Dynasty quarterback influence NFL history Terry Bradshaw the 70s Joe Montana the 80s and Troy Aikman the early 90s
Joe Burrow is the single greatest college quarterback of all time, he throws two touchdowns for each time he touches the football, he can fly, and travel through time so I'm gonna pick Trevor Lawrence as my quarterback.
😂😂😂55 TDs with another 4 on the ground and over 5200 yards passing. But what's even more jaw dropping is a 77% completion rate!!! His dad was a defensive coordinator and it shows in this kids ability to immediately process a defense and make the right throw. He see plays before they happen. He's clearly better than Lawrence as a passer.
That guy sitting on the far right is an absolute tool. Oklahoma secondary had no chance against LSU’s wide receivers. They had no choice but to line up 12 yards off the ball. Grinch is an absolutely phenomenal coach and did a great job this season for bringing this defense closer to where they need to be. “ don’t bring that guy to Dallas with you” oh please, you don’t know what you are talking about.
Yee. Theres too much receny bias. Joe for hiesman was joke until the florida game. Joe really wasnt anythin till this year. I needed to see him do this through multiple seasons, which we wont get becausw he old n declaring. But rn hes hot af n ill take our offense over clemson.
After this season, I'm not sure how this is even a question. Trevor might...might be a good a JB one day, he is getting better each year. However, anyone who would take any college QB over Burrow right now is a fool.
Zach Brown:. A lot of NFL scouts would go with Trevor because he has lived up to every expectation that has been put upon him since eight grade. They can see Trevor's track record since then and see that he is up to the task. Just search cartersville middle school trevor lawrence in the RU-vid search.
@@beaujac311 really? Middle School? Come on. If Lawrence was draft eligible and came out after this year he would be the 4th qb drafted...at best. I'm not saying that he isn't good and going to be great, but he is not there yet. He was inconsistent this year against really poor opponents. However, he looked like a king against Bama last NC game. Burrow is the most NFL ready QB to enter the draft in a decade. There is no question. At this point in time, Burrow would be a more solid choice.
@@zachbrown4073 We both could speculate who would go first but alas it won't happen this season because Trevor is not eligible. I wish that he was eligible and the NFL GM's would have to make choice then we could see who was right. As for the top qb's I saw or read something yesterday that said that Trevor, Tua, and Justin Fields would go ahead of Joe if they were all in the same draft. He said that the first three were generational type talents. He said that Joe was more mature than those other three because he has been around longer.
@@zachbrown4073 I agree Tua is not going ahead of Burrow if he comes out this season. Even though Tua is supposed to make a full recovery we won't know until he's been tested on the field of play. And don't get me wrong Joe has been a beast this season. He's played lights out all season and if he can do it one more game LSU will have championship. I think Clemson's offense needs to keep Joe off the field with ball control running game. You don't want to try and keep up with LSU in a scoring contest.
@@187misfitsspade LSU has played and beat 7 top 10 teams this year. Two of those teams had better defenses then Clemson and play tougher schedules with better defenses than Clemson. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU was up 28 points by halftime 🤷♂️.
