If you have anything negative to say about this, you're a tool. I'm 42, saw Ep VI in the theater and this was cool as hell. I can only imagine the work on and off camera. Excellent this was.
I gotta admit, the hair and clothes (not to mention the gloves) fooled me for a second there, but when the sabres started slashing that totally owned! Great Work.
That was very good. I was expecting something cheesey in typical youtube fashion, but you guys brought it and did not let me down. My son and I both loved it, he's just a 2 year old, but he was chanting "again, again" after it ended. Good shit.
What are talking about. It's not about acting or scenery coz it's not a movie. It's just choreography with lighsaber and some special effects. And it's one of the best work I have ever saw. Professional camera work, perfect rotoscoping, very good choreography.
Hey Trevor & Jimbo, Just wanted to say I really dig the footwork in your film and the tense immediacy of the choreography. Few of the videos I've seen emphasize proper stances and footwork, and yours really caught my eye! The pause at about 3 minutes in is very nice as well. Many duels do have a smooth escalation of intensity, but you've pulled that off rather well! MTFBWY!
Great choreography. This is the best lightsaber fight among Ryan Wieber fights. But you guys fight really strong style and you have fluent movements. Great camera work also. I like it. Favourite
One of the more entertaining duels, wasn't so keen on the force-lightning but then again it's a pain in the ass to get looking "real". All in all, great job guys 9/10
Really outstanding work. Only lightsaber duel I've seen so far where the fighters actually do seem to be attempting to strike each other, as opposed to each other's weapons. It made the duel feel that much more visceral. Superior, in fact, to some of the scenes in the movies.
i'm glad to see there were two different styles of fighting going on here: aggressive & passive. people tend to forget that when they make these types of SW fanfilms. And before I forget: majorly cool!
wow, that is great :D as film-makers ourselves, who do lots of saberfighting, i know how hard this must have been to make... the choreo was fantastic. we havent gotten that good yet after about a year and a bit of practise...the sabers were roto'ed really well, and the lightning was good too. i especially liked the way you siphoned off the lightning from your lightsaber ;)
I love the Company short film - It's really awesome. I like your lightsabers. I haven't seen those in quite some time. The choreography could be a little better but all in all this is a good film. ;)
It looked like the sith was using a mixture of ataru and makashi and I agree the jedi was using ataru and even had the right stance. Great video, some day I want to make one!
Yes, I've seen them all. As far as the white balence goes; the sun actually changed position in the clouds during some portions of particular shots. So you can see the difference in the white balence between some of the shots. I tried my best to digitally grade most of the footage to the same consistancy but there was really nothing that could be done. The light shift was too extreme.
well done. Choreography wasn't as super-cool as some others, but was technically perfect. I loved it, very good form. Sensible, and some killer moves. I'm a martial artist and swordsman (and huge SW guru) and a few moves in there made me go "OH! Good one!" Good sound, good lighting, good tension. Excellent choices for who was who.
