One thing you forgot to mention is in chapter 7, you can also choose to surrender Roland and still get the true ending, you'll still learn about the fire traps later on and they'll be intact since chapter 7B takes place on a different map.
Condensed requirements 1. Ensure the Traps in the Wolffort Demesne are not used. This can be done by either winning the battle against Avlora without using those traps, or surrendering Roland. 2. Secure an ally in Svarog. Head to Aesfrost by delivering the salt, and reveal Roland's survival to Svarog. 3. Learn about the Salt Crystals. No matter what, protect the Roselle against Hyzante, letting you learn about the crystals. 4. Gain the will to carve your own path from Lord Symon. Return to the Wolffort Demesne and see Lord Symon.
Lost Minister Exham, and General Avlora on my latest run. But was able to play as Maxwell at the end which was cool.. But those are Pretty much the 2 coolest characters in the game.
Want to add to the comments saying that during chapter 7 you can choose to give up roland. Lot of people seem to be confused that your choice DOES NOT MATTER. Provided of course you DO NOT use any firetraps.
I wouldn't have thought that helping Sorseley would lead to the true ending. Seems like a shady thing to do and common sense tells me that reporting him would be the right thing to do.
If at any time you guys don’t get the decision you wanted you can reload your save and try your scale again. The Majority voted against the trade the first time but I reloaded and everyone but erador chose to go along with the salt trade
The minimum conviction requirements to get the true ending are 444 utility to convince Anna to go along in chapter 9 and 448 liberty to convince Anna to reveal Roland's identity in chapter 10. In chapter 15, both Anna and Erador pick return home if you do not try to convince them otherwise so it's an auto win, even if you have 0 morality.
Minor spoilers: Man I thought I was going to be able to get it the first try. Definitely failed. Ended up with the "Liberty" ending. I played 100% loyal to Roland until he wanted to side with Hyzante. Couldn't do it.
@@timjanssen5889 ok cool ty I wasn't sure because Roland died when I fought avlora and I wasn't sure if he died it would effect me being able to recruit avlora, I chose to protect Roland and I didn't use the traps but at the same time Roland got taken out in the fight
Playing through this pathway for New Game Plus. Will your decision in Chapter 8 (accept or decline tellior) have any bearing on whether or not you get the this ending? Also, I love this game so much. So much replay value.
Hello, thanks for the great guide! I went full utility and now at chapter 10 I am facing difficulty to convince Anna to reveal Roland :( any suggestion on how to increase my liberty point through encampment please?
You can increase liberty by defeating mock battles on easy mode difficulty. Other then that, I believe selling items after a certain amount will also increase your liberty! I'd say just grinding out mock battles could be helpful... You can probably do around 10 in about 15 minutes if you have the right setup (see my money making video if you haven't already). Hope this helps! THIS link should help you out more! triangle-strategy.fandom.com/wiki/Conviction#:~:text=There%20are%20three%20convictions%20in,(500%20Kudos%20%3D%205%20Morality)
If you at at Hyzante, it means that you selected to REPORT Sorsley which will not result in the true ending. You'll instead need to HELP Sorsley in his salt trade.
Niiice! Corentin can be used to create an ice wall at the choke point from the stairs. Other than that, Hughette can just snipe on down...what strategy did you end up using?
I definitely put the ice wall to work! And I stayed in the top right corner of the map so that I didn’t get swarmed and picked enemies off as they approached with ranged attacks!
This ending is so bad. So bad. Trash. I can't believe they separate all the characters into 3 battalions and expect the player to lvl grind all the characters they have not been using just to complete the golden route.
